I understand what you mean but the possibility would still be there. You want to rescue Constance because her write up sounds really cool and compatible with you but you see that you don't have any skills that would let you do that. Your options at that point are to either redo your character to add those skills or not take Constance and rescue someone else whom you may not like.

That would be my fear, though the girls have a bit of that going on right now in that their descriptions state the problem they face, like Constance being targeted by assassins. I don't think this is a cyoa to get overly caught up with mechanics. If something adds to our ability to imagine it is good, but unnecessary restraints on a setting that we specifically make ourselves to live out princely power (or whatever) fantasy's is not so good.

Have missions that suggest solutions but don't force us to pick those solutions because one of the main appeals is to solve things our way (even if it is dumb). One anon might use brute force (physical or magical), another might use charisma and sex, another subelty and quick reflexes, another a clever scheme or a gadget they just happened to invent, etc.

Down to business; after the debacle that was trying to get Photoshop CS2 to work, I said "fuck it" and decided to just stick with Paint.net. I'm starting to get used to its idiosyncracies, so everything should look neater going forward.

Speaking of going forward, here's the completed(?) page 1/3, including a variety of base Star values and the brand-spanking new Superheavy tank for all those folks out there who've got somethin' to compensate for.

Is the author of Order and Chaos v8 here? Because I have a few questions, specifically about Juggernaut.

Is it specifically limited to armor and weapons, or can it be other equipment?

Does it have to be things that are actually part of fantasy lore already, or do you have some kind of agency with what you make?

What counts as a, "weapon," or, "armor?" Would a stone mask that stabs the wearer in the brain as a reaction to being splattered with blood count as a weapon, for example? Would it count as armor because it's a mask and made of stone? Would it be neither?

So on that guy asking whether or not he could clone dhampir bodies, I'd tell him that vampires are more magical in nature rather than biological. It's like the difference between the Evil Dead zombies and the zombies from 28 Days Later. Why are vampires vampires? It's not because of some biological component. It's magic affecting the physical, not the other way way around.

To me, the standard necromancy, vampire hemomancy, and the mummy magic are all just general supernatural stuff, with the fleshwarper and ghost books concentrating solely on the physical and spiritual aspects of necromancy respectively.

I like that it does this because it forces you choose what you actually want. It's fairly easy to do male with power even as a scrub that can't even 1CC IN on easy. Heck, just take Outsider Male Magician Job and spend zero points on it, you'll just need to put in a ton of effort and be willing to take risks in a manchurian hypothetical scenario simulator.

The complaints leveled are for the most part completely nonsensical whinging about how being good at Touhou gets you bonuses (which is fine), not having enough points to get everything you want (which is fine), being a male stops you from easily amassing power (it really doesn't, you just need to focus on it, and it's fine given the setting) or the design (okay, some of the words can be blurry - I'd recommend swapping the white text blue outlined on Job/Lifestyle to blue text black outline like the header section).

It's a good CYOA.

I cant remember the name, but there is a cyoa about the seven virtues where you choose either a "minor" or "major" effect from all of them and get to pick boons based on that.

For example, I think that "minor chastity" stopped you from sex outside of serious relationships, and diligence removed all enjoyment from non productive activities.

I think Slayer is the best option here. The teleportation doesn't have any cooldown listed, so you could easily just teleport over and over across the land until you find another gifted person and kill them. Repeat until you've found and killed all of them (except Suicide Man and Skeleton King, who you could probably take care of some other way with all your abilities).

Yeah, a general difficulty rating seems like it would be a better solution than fixed requirements. As you say, characters can sometimes (often) surprise the DM, so if someone manages to be powerful in a way you didn't expect, a difficulty rating system would allow them to still get the princesses they wanted.

One of the biggest things I was thinking about for mechanical rewards/options is in the DLC, with the cyberpunk bodyguard. In her benefits, it says you get a "Luxury Augmentation", but there's no context or indication for what that might mean or how it benefits you in your other quests, if it does at all. It could also be as simple as having the princesses you rescue (at least some of them, the ones without princess duties to return to) join you as companions if you wanted, to physically assist you on your future quests. Again, I'm thinking of the cyberpunk bodyguard. I want to fill my spacefaring longship with worthy battlemaidens as I go raiding through the galaxy.

I don't know Touhou much and I don't have much character art for anime styled stuff so I'm just porting my Create/Be a Saber concept with S-rank bullshit level magical ability and phantasms. Pretty sure the Gensokyo could handle it if this unwittingly brings the HGW to their doorstep without too much trouble but I'm not buying Incident so that Probably won't happen.

Klepto Marisa is probably going to start feeling bad about stealing stuff from someone with a very spartan lifestyle, or at the least not find a lot worth taking in the first place.
Kogasa's going to need to up her game to be a bother in comparison to COSMIC MAGICAL POWER and just being patient.
Komeji's potentially a bit awkward to deal with, but a bit of sincerity will probably be a good thing to exercise.
Sadistic Yuuka is probably going to get a pass on magical attempts to foil her and instead be used as a motivation to git gud with the monk training. Eventually I'll probably aim for a romantic rivalry, inviting amusingly moot murder in helping me on the path to perfection.

The Damsels can all join you, unless specifically stated. In the case of the bodyguard she just owes you 1 favor and doesn't become a companion due to being a bodyguard, though that doesn't stop you from making up a story on how she comes to be a companion. Perhaps that's the favor you ask of her.

A luxury body mod would be something that isn't combat related, such as her ration bundle. I kind of assumed that people would figure you'll have continuous contact with said Damsel as you paid points for her. Perhaps I should clarify that more.

Make sure that when you're working on your cyoa that you do most of the work at 100% magnification so you can see how it looks on your screen. 100% is what people will be looking at when they open it if they're not letting 4chan resize it. When I use Photoshop to make cyoas I'm zooming in and out constantly for moving stuff around and alignment but for the most part I work at 100% so I can see what people will see when reading my cyoas.

Not sure if paint or whatever allows you to do that, but I'd think they would.

I'd always rather be the master than the slave, but the perks are too good to pass up. Plus, after the year's up, I can take my rightful place as her master.

Though they're both fantastic, I slightly prefer ArchAngel, because I actually have trouble choosing a girl.
The only two I had trouble deciding between in ArchDemon were Lynneth and Mhyrienne.
Lyneth because holy hell does that whole situation sound amazing.

I can't do that. The meta-pages have slots for 10 options each (which are merged two-per-page, so 5 subordinate pages per meta page). To add one more, I would also need a new meta page: 31 total pages. So, I have a nice life despite not really being a 2hu fan. That's good! Suika is a nice girl and we can spend evenings together. I think I need to spend the days building a house first of all, but Gensokyo has plenty of forest near the village that I can set up a patch of it for myself, and the internet will allow me to shore up my /out/ and /diy/ type skills as needed. Well, first of all I'll just build a hovel, but since I have plenty of land and immortality, I can build it up to be amazing eventually.

If I had the points for it, I would have liked to be a god, but that's very expensive and I think I have about the best life available short of that.

Not quite done with the build yet, but I agree with the other guy that it's really easy to make an absurd profit and just buy out everything you want.

Some other managers/visionaries you could add might be ones that allow you to hire security forces that require a certain faction. I'm Keiretsu, but the Troopers look like the only base security forces who could handle a full-scale war; I'd be willing to hire a manager exclusively for the ability to also hire Troopers.

The potion of Khizaz is the best method of immortality, so I'll take Promræn Caro as my main book, even though I think it's missing some things. For a start, it's just a bit too focused on sentients, but I can work on life as well as death.

Ah well. That's my book.

Create Life will allow me to create a legion of servants. Mass Growth allows me to cultivate my domain.
Cure disease is a nice spell for making friends. Alter Appearance should be handy too. Warp Flesh will let me have personal projects to work on.
Gentle Repose will let me stock parts. Reinforcement will improve combat survivability. Calcify will let me turn failures into statues.

Those are my specialty spells; the ones I can take from anywhere, then:

Empower Bloodline, to improve my stock even more. Death Ward, to keep my shit safe. Command Spirit and Exorcism, to deal with ghosts.
The Curse of Slavery, to secure minions. As for the last, I'll trade it for a perk.

I get a free Kreie from my book choice. I can't be bothered to read all these fucking companions (seriously, can't give them some sort of descriptive title?) so I'll trade those for perks too.

As for servants, it seems that the only ones I qualify for are Ahüdren and Created Life, but that's fine. I'll design my own things over time.

Anyway, those two use ten of my points. So I guess I'll buy more perks with the remainder.

Perks:
I get Surgeon for free. Bloodcrafter should allow me to make my modifications heritable, and build things up over successive generations. Runecrafting is a very good perk. Camper and Animal Whisperer give me a good base to get started. Trapper and Tracker are also useful skills in the wilderness.

Speaking of getting started, I'll start in Deparmiya, with a vagrant lifestyle. I can make a camp, plant Ahüdren around it and stay there for a time, and move on with my created life later.

I would second the recommendation that heavy tanks be added, and in addition would suggest the addition of American style tank destroyers (presumably two stars in cannon and speed, and zero in tactics and armor), and potentially combat engineering vehicles and assault guns as well.
