Frankly, I don't get why people say they have a hard time with skill points as a human fighter.

Like, I get it, 2 + int + 1 bonus is low, but assuming 25 PB and you're gonna wear heavy armor, then a pre-racial spread of 15/12/14/14/14/10 is pretty possible, and that gives you 5 skill points per level before favored class bonus if you're into that. Put that +2 in strength and that's a respectably array desu.

If background skills are in play, that's 7 skill points! It's still low, but honestly? There's not much you're gonna get out of those skill points regardless.

I'm going to give Pathfinder Society a try to get to know one of my worst enemies, and I'm planning on coming with a character who's just right to trigger the spergs but still be playable.
Completely unoptimized, heavy on the backstory, extremely light on the Mary Sue/dead family members front and a halfling who's neither comic relief nor an edgy CE assassin "deconstruction".
It's still unfinished, and I'd like to hear anything you have to hear about the character. Anything, really - if you get mad, that also tells me a lot. If it's literally bad to the point where I won't be able to do shit, even if I roleplay at my best for the whole session, I'd like to know that too.
I'm not ashamed to say I don't know the rules or the setting very well yet, so all corrections are welcome.
The profile is fucking long because I write all the stuff I think of down just to have a reference when I play. Also, I have a history with the oWoD.

Good:
Strong connections to the lore on multiple fronts, makes this an easy character to pull into various subplots.

The lore bit at the ended is neat and adds a lot of flavor to the armor. Reverse image search comes up with nothing, so... kudos.

The first usage of "tormented Ex-Something, but still inexplicably 20" that's actually believable. Kudos.

Bad:

Huh? When was his degrading mental state established? You *could* infer that he's sad due to the mutiny and generally shitty situation, but if it's one of the lines you end the app on, you need to actually establish it.

Other than the guilt and brashness (and *maybe* the importance of family), nothing from his personality is reflected in the backstory. Hell, the line I brought up in my previous point actually implies he's *not* cheerful, he just likes the idea of taking revenge.

Kinda hard to slot into a party, considering all he does is damage and face skills.

How is the Fey-Pact affecting him? He's had time to go meet with his family and travel south, that's more than enough time to formulate some thoughts on it.

Where's the hook? The concept is kinda generic; it could really use something to make it stand out. All the best apps coming out of /pfg/ have had some kind of X-Factor that makes them memorable; this one doesn't.

Overall:

I tried to fill it with little elements that I've only seen autists get mad about, such as defying racial stereotypes, having long backstories, writing characters with complex personalities, being unoptimized, writing the stats around the character and things like that.
If no one gets mad over those things, the Pathfinder Society has officially redeemed itself in my eyes. I've never seen anything good come out of that - as expected from a community that attracts people who don't have RL groups and can't play at game stores anymore, all I've seen has been edge, elven waifus, Male Human Fighters, fursonas with metaplot-spanning backstories at level 1 and of course people who loathe everything that makes them have to think about their character or make them something else than themselves.

1) Convince them to use Weapon Master's Handbook to allow Advanced Weapon Training
1.5) Also Armor Master's Handbook for Advanced Armor Training, plus some of the other splats with options (Magic Tactics Toolbox, Blood of the Beast). Also see if they'll allow Combat Stamina from Pathfinder Unchained.

2) Considering your Dex, probably go for TWF-based feats and weapon finesse. Grab Trained Grace (AWT), Effortless Dual-Wielding (AWT, from Blood of the Beast), and maybe look at the two-weapon weapon tricks from Weapon Master's Handbook.

Also, grab Agile Maneuvers if you want to go into combat maneuvers. Not a great option, but it's an available one.

Æoriel often refers to herself in the third person when in direct conversation, utilizing performance in an effort to circumvent her curse as much as she can, often making her come off as simply pretentious as opposed to hated. However, that's had varying results.

I've played and run games for people from all corners of the globe, and in that time, I've encountered *maybe* four people that were actually toxic. Two of them have since been permanently banned from PFS for generally being pricks, one is blacklisted by every Con/Game day within 100 miles, and the last one is legitimately autistic, but is trying their best to get better.

So, I've been thinking about reworking the fighter to make it not shit seeing as how ALL high-BAB martials kicks its ass.

What I was thinking was to

>Keep its 1 feat/level
>Keep its skills and add Perception, bump it to 5+INT
>Allow it to spend X hours in training to switch out feats instead of on level up, kind of like the brawler but not on the fly.
>Add progressive bonuses to ALL of its saves and not just fucking fear effects.
>Replace armor/wep bonuses with fighter "Specializations", which gives the fighter its biggest boons.

My whole theme of this is that fighters should be able to just ignore the rules that everybody else follows. I have a few ideas for specializations, but I haven't worked them all out.

Cheers, Reviewanon! I'll probably do a couple of rewrites on Lysander to get it together better and see if I can get some better appeal in. I hadn't really aligned the personality that well with the backstory as given - while that covered the "how he got his powers" part wasn't formative of his personality as such.

The trouble is for compatibility, it's so very impossible to have a skillmonkey in heavy armour due to armour check penalties and spellcasters can't use heavy armour anyway so there's little apart from face work possible. That's pathfinder for you!

Voice games can be intimidating for people who're not sure about the group, and putting up an entire game isn't going to get many replies because talking makes it all a lot more personal.
Awkward moments and arguments are a lot harder to handle over voice than in text, so instead try to gather people here, ask them what they want to play and then get back to the people you like.
Also, as >>52212586 says, it's probably also a way socially awkward people excuse not finding a game by inflating their ideas of how cool and experienced everyone else is.

Outlander is +2 initiative.

I think the bigger issue is that the other traits are largely garbage, barring +1 to saves.

There's the argument that they're for flavor, but if it's just flavor why not just choose a way your character ties into the campaign and not have mechanical stuff riding on it.

Outlander is also the only trait that lets the more exotic concepts fit in as they can be foreigners to Katapesh.

I can see that happening, but my experience has been a little different. We have had 15 to 20 players in our group (at different times obviously) and only 3 have been girls. They have all been absolutely intolerable. One was a godaweful dm who happened to think it was good to throw DC 26 save or die spells on random doors and shit in the wilderness to "keep us on our toes" at level 3, then have random passerby revive us or something. Everyone just quit after a couple sessions, then she whined about feeling unappreciated. The other two just took 20+ minutes whenever they had to make any decision, including something as simple as swinging a sword as a melee character against a random single goblin.

We have had some pretty shit guys as well, but I guess we at least managed to dodge your problem, that sounds painful.

If you can, I have a Magitech Archetypes question, about Improved Technograft. It says "you are always treated as though you were wielding it in two hands even while using a single hand to wield it", I get that the idea is that you can use a two-handed weapon with your single arm Technograft and also stuff like Power Attack, but what about something like Advanced Grip from Legendary Villains - Vigilantes that cares about a weapon wielded in one hand? Is Improved Technograft intended to be more like DSP's Scarlet Throne Style and treat you as wielding in two or one hands whichever one is better for individual abilities, or just plain two-handed always whether it's good or not?

Most people can't roleplay for shit with voice. In fact they're pretty much just going on tangents and sometimes will get actually offended that you ask to focus on the game again unless you're the GM.

Even when they try, most of us suck at accents, which means at least 1-2 people in the party, who are trying that, are going to be... distracting at best.

For what it's worth, Bloodforge Infusions has a feat now that I wrote which negates a racial Strength penalty.

That said, the original intention of Self Pact was to give you an AC bonus based on a secondary stat - rather like Monks. Unfortunately we kinda ended up with Charisma being a PRIMARY stat and things got hecked up there. Our design goal is 3 stat MAD for full-attackers, 2 stat MAD for blasters, reduced by 1 with AL/UR or BotA/HoM. Body pact effectively gets AL/UR or BotA/HoM for free, which is a fairly potent attunement, IN ADDITION to getting strength-to-AC and Improved Unarmed Strike. We're hoping the effective two bonus feats will help the Body pact keep up.

THAT SAID, we're very much interested in feedback. This might be too weak - we lent conservative here because upwards tuning is typically less disruptive than downwards tuning. Please let us know how this feels in play.

I think this is fine. It's meant to be a replacement for Lore Warden Fighter's free combat expertise (that's obseleted by the Tax Feat rules), which they really only get so that they can meet Paizo's prerequisites.

Giving a super-useful feat in place of something like that wouldn't quite work unless if you intentionally want to buff it.

Like, if you take graft as level 1 utility you can only make a flare gun. The earliest 2-hander you can get would be the rocket launcher at level 6 as well.

Well, he'd immediately request women, and father a few dozen heirs, make them all dukes controlling small bits of the kingdom, then set them out to fight each other so he can pass the kingdom on to the strongest and wisest of them.

After that, he'd fuck off and watch the kingdom descend into chaos and civil war as all his sons and daughters fight each other to the death.

Then when the strongest one comes out on top he'd reveal himself, take on that one's disguise, and continue ruling. Because he's a /dick/
