Jumpchain, I'm going to work now. Be a good thread while I'm gone, or I'll take your waifus away for a month.

Jumpers!

Have you ever been torn about leaving a setting? Have you ever thought about just staying there?
>>
>>51897340
Every. Damn. Time.
>>
>>51897340
Tropico. I'd set up a theocracy with myself as divinity (what? I was bored) and was afraid of what would happen upon my leaving. I left them with a gift tho: a specifically crafted Archangel in my likeness to watch over them. Thanks Innistrad jump.

A question about the Servant Supplement, what rank would Skills like Primordial Runes have?

>>51897340
To answer your question, yup, a few actually:
- Aria, just holy shit, Aqua was just way too beautiful.
- Kantai Collection, I really didn't want to leave my Fleet.
>>
>>51897340
Fire emblem awakening. Most settings I interact with the plot minimally, but here I went with it 100%. Ended up married to Chrom.

My last night there he found me on a balcony, drunk and crying. I told him I was a horrible person, but he just laughed and took me inside.

When he woke up in the morning, I was gone.

Huh. Specialised PERKS for that are slim on the ground, but the magic systems from Dresden Files and Faeblooded from Gargoyles CAN jam telepathy; as long as you stay in Chicago/New York respectively, you'll be living near so many other scary but mostly-benevolent interests you'd have to work to get in trouble with the bigger bads. At least until the Fomor/Oberon show up, and by then everyone's teaming up to kick them in the dick.

Otherwise, the safest I can think of is the circlet from Adventure time-which proofs the mind against a spirit of extinction from the dawn of time. Again, as long as you don't leave Ooo proper for space or Prismo's dimension you'll never meet anything a plucky boy and a stretchy dog can't handle.

>>51897340
The last time I remember feeling that, was Wakfu. Right after Ravenloft. Between the constant paranoia of eldritch horrors breaking in, me being kind of a live-for-the-moment sort before things went sour and my later ambitions driving me to restructure my very mind, I haven't had that thought for almost as long as I can remember.
>>
>>51897488
You do sound like a horrible person. Why no companioning him? Why not leave him a clone of yourself?

I leave clones everywhere. Cos I houserule that time keeps marching on when I leave a jump behind.
>>
>>51897507
No blue feathers yet, and the jump doesn't have an option for that. It has kids, but that's it.

I did leave a few Einherjar, but those were echoes of me at best.

Man, I loved that comic. It was such a good story about supes actually being inspiring and noble. A lot of superman stuff misses the fact that superman is supposed to be inspiring in the same way that batman is intimidating.

Depends on the continuity, but usually it makes him stronger. In some versions he might even fuse with the sun to become Superman Prime, his final form.
>>
>>51897593
It's kind of funny how All-Star Superman got Superman so very right while All-Star Batman got Batman so very wrong.

All-Star Batman is Frank Miller kinda self-parodying. It doesn't get Batman "wrong" it just pushes a version of Batsie to its extreme.
>>
>>51897614

Oh god, ASBAR.

In some ways I love that comic for being so very, very insanely wrong it's amazing. I mean...bats, you painted your teeth yellow to try and outsmart Green Lantern. Why?
>>
>>51897621
Ah, found it. Harvest Moon jump.
>>
>>51897625
No, it's pretty much a huge pile of shit. It takes everything admirable or inspiring about Batman and replaces it with whores and swearing and setting people on fire with flaming bleach. It's true that it's Frank Miller self-parodying, but I don't think it's intentional on his part.
>>
>>51897621
Harvest moon.

>>51897623
They had a red sun, so they probably never noticed.

Also the sun doesn't like them.
>>
>>51897625

The annoying thing there is that it's so very much not what the All Star series of comics was supposed to be about. They were supposed to be a 'Welcome to this hero, this is what makes them great/what makes them worth reading'.

All Star Superman did that well. It's 'This is a story that examines the core of superman's character and why he does what he does while showing off a lot of the crazy comic stuff about him'.
>>
>>51897652
YMMV. I think it's fun and weird, both in good and bad ways.
>unintentional
Debatable. I read an interview of him a long ass time ago and he seemed pretty open about it being silly and juvenile.
>>51897677
Right I hadn't considered that. I can understand how that would be a let-down. But I'd rather artists do what they want rather than conform to editorial mandates. Even if it's to make stuff like that.
>>
>>51897623
Reasons differ from continuity to continuity, but one idea that's relatively common is that the Kryptonians did know that at one point, and were galactic conquerors, only to retreat back to Krypton after their defeat at the hands of an alliance of a bunch of other species. Their civilization stagnated, their space travel capabilities were lost, and in the red light of Rao they were no longer space gods.
>>
>>51897640
And the funny thing is that in ASBAR, Green Lantern doesn't even know about the yellow weakness. But Batman does, somehow? And also knows that Superman can fly even though Superman doesn't and just leaps around Max Fleischer style? How does Batman know more about these peoples' powers than the people themselves?
>>
>>51897695
I'd rather artists make actually good stories, like we know they're capable of from their prior work, rather than shit out a pile of the tritest and most offensive ideas possible because it amuses them.
>>
>>51897695

>But I'd rather artists do what they want rather than conform to editorial mandates. Even if it's to make stuff like that.

Eh, I'd disagree with that. I mean, it's one thing for editors to go 'We want you to change what you are working on' pointlessly or make silly demands but I'd consider the writer/artist in the wrong if he's working against the entire reason the comics were made.

Still, at least it's not Holy Terror. That is something I'm very glad DC said wasn't going to be a Batman comic (As Frank originally wanted it to be Holy Terror Batman!)

>>51897714

He read the script and it drove him insane.
>>
>>51897733
>Still, at least it's not Holy Terror. That is something I'm very glad DC said wasn't going to be a Batman comic (As Frank originally wanted it to be Holy Terror Batman!)
Holy Terror is pretty damning evidence for the idea that no, Frank Miller isn't intentionally self-parodying, he's just gone crazy and also lost his skill for good writing.
>>
>>51897549

The Sandman commode also make the point that the Endless also define their opposites (and they have great power over their inverses). Death defines life, Dream defines reality, Destiny defines free will. Noteworthy here is that Despair defines hope, and here she is more or less creating Superman, who goes onto be one of the greatest beacons of hope in DC.
>>
>>51897802
No, it probably was there. I just saw a companion import and skipped over it, as I didn't have that many at the time.

>I haven't read Holy Terror
Good, keep it that way. It's really, really bad.

>but I honestly think "dumb, crypto-fascistic" is a valid interpretation of the Caped Crusader.
See, that's not the problem. If the point was to portray a Batman who's obsessed with control to his own detriment, fine. We've got lots of good Batman stories based around that idea, of "the Batman who goes too far". But All-Star Batman is just such an asshole. He doesn't even read as Batman. He's not a detective, he's not a crusader, he's not an adventurer, he's just a guy who likes punching hobos. And yes, admittedly, regular Batman does that a lot, too, but only ever as a means to an end. With All-Star Batman, you get the sense that the chance to do brutality to others is the main draw. And if that's the vision of Batman you want to go with, one where he's just a growly asshole who shouts at everyone for not inflicting as much violence as he does and never even tries to make the world a better place, then what are you doing reading Batman?
>>
>>51897833
If you knew both of you were going to leave you could have set up something/someone to take over in your absence.
>>
>>51897774
I'm not sure that's canon, actually. It gives a different origin for the Guardians of the Universe than in mainline DC.

Dream's first girlfriend is implied to be one of the ancestors of the Guardians. She's just recently discovered how to shape energy into matter, a precursor to the power rings. However, there are two problems with this. The first, that isn't Gaiman's fault, is that it's just a generic energy construct thing, nothing to do with the Green Light of Willpower. But this was before that was introduced, so that's just a case of a retcon invalidating it. The second is that the Guardians aren't native to Oa, they came from Maltus, and already had the beginnings of the Lantern technology at that point. Killala identifies her people as having been living on Oa and studying its star, Sto-Oa (who she cuckolds Dream with because of Desire playing a mean prank, thus starting Dream and Desire's feud) for a while, so if she's just discovering energy shaping it doesn't fit with the Guardians' origins. Also, she's female, which the Guardians weren't. All the female Maltusians went to Zamora, not Oa. So she shouldn't know Sto-Oa at all.
>>
>>51897873
What do godslayer and powerful soul do?

Powerful Soul, in addition to making your soul powerful, basically just lets you regenerate from soul damage.

Swords of the Cross count as whatever is needed to stop regeneration or supernatural toughness (Even if there is nothing that normally stops it)
>>
>>51897340
A couple of times I wasn't sure I wanted to leave a setting. I almost stayed in Gravity Falls after I screwed everything up so badly with Bill. Except I knew if I stayed I couldn't help out anymore than I had, I was just punching out of my weight class. Then in Strike Witches I considered staying and really investing my time in saving the world instead of just cruising along with it.

Princess Mononoke was the first place I truly considered staying. And, funny enough, it had nothing to do with the events of the movie. I had built a slow, steady routine of living in the middle of the Great Northern Forest. There were no massive demands on my time, just the gentle pressures of life moving from past to future. And I felt... happy. That ancient forest showed me a kind of peaceful living I had forgotten was an option after decades of action, blood, and weekly chaos of most worlds.

Only my mistakes propelled me forwards. Korra, the Pines Twins, Lina... they were all waiting for me to come back for one reason or another. In the end, I had to move forward. But I know I left a bit of my soul in that home.

>>
>>51898200
>Falls under Anti-Life Immunity
No, it doesn't. Anti-Life Immunity blocks stuff that influences/controls your mind, body, or soul.

Avada Kedavra just kills instantly.

Now, Anti-Life Immunity would stop an Imperio or the like, but not an AK.
>>

>>51898218

>>
>>51897873
Wouldn't a Jumper with the card captor system just use The Null and The Erase Cards aimed at the Perks themselves then The Time for a time stop followed by The Maze and The Lock solve that?

Basically, nullify and erase the Perks, then stop time as they cast the Jumper into an eternal maze in a separate dimension then lock them within it forever. According to the world outside that maze, they lived out their eternity within an instant.

No, see, that Jumper doesn't have any willpower increases or sanity defending perks. So while the room will now kill him, the lack of sleep and constant pain will eventually drive him completely insane. Add in randomly strobing lights to cause the Jumper to break down even faster.

Then you've got an immortal pile of flesh to experiment on or discover a way to destroy at your leisure.

>>
>>51898421
...can't you just, I don't know...

Ask nicely?
>>
>>51898455
Nahiri is crazy af as this point. She just spent a millenia stuck in a dark room with talkative Demons.
When she got out she saw her home place devastated. Now she wants revenge on Sorin and everyone else. She's actively drawing I'mrakul (not the funnest eldritch abomination) into the plane of Innistrad.
So it can devour it.

I don't have enough charisma/therapy perk for that shit, but I do have a lot of brainwashing powers.
>>
>>51898240
To be fair, it's one of the shittiest death curses out there considering it failed to kill the same baby twice.

>>51898200
>would that even stop the regeneration

It's killed stronger. It killed a peer to a being who the author said could beat up the anthropomorphic personification of winter.

>>51897873
Anyway.

Anything which, by its' nature, can annihilate reality or concepts directly rather than souls (The Devourlord, Shiki/a shitton of conceptual weapons in Type-Moon also a big enough blast of mana is apparently considered stronger than most of them, Chara, an Eldrazi, Fingerkings, True Fae, I think some Touhous as well)

Anything capable of interfering with accumulations of supernatural life energy to the point of being able to affect things which have it, but technically aren't souls (Chakravartin, Bhunivelze, the Horroterrors, a bunch of other gods, angels in general, a lot of wizards out there especially the DC ones)

Anything which, by virtue of its' nature, is technically manipulating, a part of or source for reality rather than something that warps it (the Yozis, the Buddha and other members of the celestial bureaucracy, the Judgements, Kami Tenchi, The Lord of Nightmares, spiral energy users)

Anything which has the ability to specifically bypass normal supernatural immunities (The Exalted, SMT demons)

And there's a lot of overlap here but the point is-don't get cocky, kid. Expecting to be able to tank everything forever with perks and ONLY perks without any further effort is the stupidist possible way to jump.
>>
>>51898450
Nothing on this? >>51898353
>>
>>51898483
Considering that you're going to be stuck with her the entire time means that even with your paltry amount of therapy perks you should have enough of an influence to have her not go full retard and instead help with the Eldrazi before you help her deal with Sorin.
>>
>>51898338
Essence Inversion spell, from Exalted? Might be too slow, but it turns the essence of the victim's life against them until they die. It also never stops, unless the caster decides otherwise, or the victim dies.

Otherwise, there's the Rune of Singular Hate. Which is basically the ultimate 'fuck you' spell, and probably has a decent shot at killing them (and if it doesn't, at least it hurts like a bitch and permanently fucks your 'stats' up).

And that's assuming Shaping attacks would be blocked by Godslayer, not too sure about them counting as powerful reality warpers..

...Also >>51898205 anything on this one?

>>51898405
Holy shit, Yoro.

>>51898360
Depends. It'd be pretty hard to control an oldwalker, but neowalkers wouldn't be much harder than other people/mages.

>>51898421
>>51898441
She's probably one of the hardest to control, outside of Nicol Bolas and Sorin Markov.

I'd count Jace as harder, since Blue. But he's honestly a pretty shitty blue mage.

>>51898483
You could also, you know, make sure she doesn't get out? Or just mind control her before she goes to Zendikar and goes all insane vangeance mode?
>>
>>51898503
>Nullify the perks
Ehh, I not sure if that would work.
>>
>>51898548
The problem with trying to define what is and isn't a reality warper in Exalted is because fundamentally speaking, reality is in a constant state of warp over there. The natural state of it all is an infinitely infinite sea of narratives filled with fae which treat it all like their personal RP forum-and which are arguably correct to do so, because confidence is a tangible metaphysical constant. Things like gravity and matter are anomalies cooked up out of the big bang fucking the spirit-gestalt of nature and stabilised by sorcery.

So either everything, down to grass and potatoes, is reality warping. Or nothing is.
>>
>>51898552
Woops, meant The Nothing.

Here's relevant part about her Power:
> Despite her primary ability to make things vanish/unmake whatever exists/return to nothingness, she has other powers as well.

This is based in the CLAMP Multiverse were magic goes full conceptual, and what are perks but added conceptual qualities?

And considering that the Jumper is facing another Jumper, they know how this whole thing works and thus can target and nullfiy/erase the necessary concepts to make their job of eliminating their opponent easier.
>>
>>51898500
>Expecting to be able to tank everything forever with perks and ONLY perks without any further effort is the stupidist possible way to jump.
With +750 jumps, it's possible. You just need more perks.
>>
>>51898536

>>51898548
>She's probably one of the hardest to control, outside of Nicol Bolas and Sorin Markov.

>Or just mind control her before she goes to Zendikar and goes all insane vengeance mode?
Hmm I think with the scenario I took I can only get to her after she has put up Cryptoliths to call an Eldrazi, and incidentally turned Avacyn mad.

I may have to just incapacitate her then.
>>

Story Time!
https://docs.google.com/document/d/18Ycai1btYbpAC9lju8wItD48F93bfZRxCXbFWok8tHU/edit?usp=sharing
Admittedly, the story time is in pretty rough shape this time. I haven't gone back through to edit it, so it's pretty stream of consciousness. But I haven't had much time for JC stuff lately, either Jumping or Jump Making.

Highlights include:
+ Rip Van Winkle disappears into the Infinite Train Dungeon for four years.
+ Muffet takes up an internship with Princess Bubblegum. Raven preemptively bans her from using magic in the kitchen as well.
+ Frisk stays with the Dolls in the Hot Springs for lack of anything better to do. Seems bored, but happy.
+ Raven splits her time between hanging out with me and delving into the City of Wizards.
+ Haruko heads back home after only a few years and steals my Guitar. I'm rather pissed off because I'm never going to get a replacement for it.
[1/2]
>>
>>51898690
Multiplayer mode is potato casserole.
>>
>>51898700
Continued Highlights:
+ Finn and Flame Princess pair up naturally and I help Finn not be such an idiot around her and blow the whole think like birthday candles.
+ Certain comic book events seep into the world, most notably Marceline Lost In Space.
+ Muffet stays behind to continue working with Princess Bubblegum.
+ Marceline takes her spot on the team. Raven is not surprised in the least.

Overall, pretty happy with how these ten years turned out. I would have liked to bring PB and Muffet along, but PB wouldn't leave her Candy Kingdom, even with the assurance of a time stop in place.

What is that anything BUT a multiplayer question anon?

But you know what? Fuck it, I'm wrong, but that does not exclude the validity of the Clow Cards since they can still remove those qualities and then trap the Jumper eternally.

If I used the Statue from DBZ to make Dragon Balls in God of Highschool, do you think the dragon would be able to grant someone a Barbadium body?
>>
>>51897871
Anything Gaiman writes supersedes normal DC canon for me because he's leagues above 99% of their writers.

I mean sometimes it seems like even Toriyama can't decide what wishes can or can't do beyond the vague benchmark of "as your strength increases so does that of the wishes" so-maybe, if you're on the Jade Emperor's level.

Doubtful, the dragon can't grant something above its power leven remember and gods are WAY ABOVE its powerlevel.

I am honestly surprised that a Crysis jump has not been made yet. Is there something about the setting that jumpmakers don't want to deal with?

Or is there a Crysis jump on the drive and I'm just blind?
>>
>>51898830
Wait, it's based on the strength of the wisher, not Kami?

Naga: Snake-like denizens of the deep, the naga were formerly night elves - members of Queen Azshara’s court at the height of it’s rule and the War of the Ancients. They were transformed by the Old God N’Zoth, the result of a pact their queen made to avoid her death at the crushing depths of the ocean. Now they haunt the seas of Azeroth, building a great civilization on the ocean floor. For over ten-thousand years they stayed there, only recently coming to the surface at the behest of demons and old gods alike. But one thing’s for certain - they have declared themselves enemies of the surface world.

+Male: Male naga are thickly built, with little sign of your elven ancestry remaining. Yours are considered more bestial, remarkably strong creatures both under and above the waves. Fin-like protrusions along your arms, spine, and about your head help with your ease of movement. And need it be said - because of your vaguely-draconic facial structure, your bite strength is powerful indeed.

++Upgrade - Naga Lord (200 CP): Even compared to other males of your species, you are truly monstrous. Standing a full head-and-a-half taller than the others, your scales have turned a crusty red; As well, you wind up gaining a shell-like facial covering that slightly obstructs your vision but provides natural armor, and are far stronger than the average naga. As well, whether they were grafted on or you naturally mutated them, you have an assortment of traits shared with the more mundane sea life of both Azeroth and Earth - with a maximum of five being particularly useful in combat. And in a way that seems as if it would be detrimental to mobility, yet doesn’t impede you in the slightest - your arm has been transformed into a large hermit crab. Shell and all.

1/2
>>
>>51898779
Stop being a cheapskate and pay CP for the Barbadium body if you want is so bad.
>>
>>51898929
+Female: You, on the other hand, have kept much of your elven appearance - your face fair, even beautiful despite the large, fin-y crest that replaces your hair. You may be smaller than the masculine counterpart, but you make up for it with an affinity for water and ice magicks, and having four arms with which to either cast or manipulate weaponry.

++Upgrade - Sea Witch (200 CP): Also called a ‘priestess of the tides,’ yours are truly potent spellcasters - commanding the fury of ocean storms and tidal havoc. You have grown an additional set of arms - numbering six total - and instead of the large, obstructive crest that runs along other women’s heads, shoulders, and spines, you have a mane of living snakes serving as your “head of hair,” so to speak. Incidentally, your voice is truly remarkable when singing.

How does this look so far?
>>
>>51898932
Oh, I did. Problem is the companion I wanted to give it to can't afford it.
>>
>>51898913
Yes and no.
Ther seems to be a knowledge and skill componenet to how strong the dragonballs are. Not talking about the Super Dragonballs, the strongest we've seen were the Black Star Dragonballs, powered by Piccolo, made by his father and Kami's previous self, presumable with the same knowledge Kami used to make Shenlong, but disproporationately more powerful.

If you have power equal to Goku and skill equal to Kami, chances are you could make a Dragon as capable as Shin Shenlong, but without the messey downside of destroying the planet a year later.

Speaking of DBZ, can you get DBZ levels of powers, including the Super Saiyan forms, just by jumping DB?
>>
>>51899004
Loooks kinda like warcraft... don't know which one though.
>>
>>51898974
Sorry that first line didn't really answer your question clearly. The power of the dragonballs is related to the maker, or maintainer of the dragonballs, not the guy asking for the wish.

>>51899021
The jumpmaker answered that question last thread I think, or maybe the one before that. They said that you could go the DB, be the monkey boy race and only after the jump, so long as you were stong enough and trained hard, meeting all prerequisites, could then unlock the super saiyan form.
I don't think they said anything about ssj2 or above, but considering the treatment in DBZ, I would assume you could train up to and no further than ssj3 on just DB alone.

Hope this helps.

I loved Riordan's books as a kid, the universe itself however needs some improvements.

When I first arrived my new companions introduced themselves by trying to kill me. They didn't really intend to do any permanent harm, but I didn't know that until after the battle. Once we were done fighting they quickly explained that, because of my family history in this world, they were to become my servants but had to test my skills first to see If I was worthy. Introducing them to the rest of my companions was easy, but adjusting to the fact that they would be permanent members of our group took everyone a while to get used to. Still, they proved themselves while we were here and I'm confident they'll be able to keep up with us in the future.

Learning a new form of magic and going on assignments for the magicians was fun, but I didn't like how the existence of magic and gods was kept secret from everyone, especially since normal humans were regularly put in danger from supernatural antics. I often tried to give magical items to some of the more heroic or kind-hearted mortals I encountered, and I subtly attempted to spread the truth whenever possible. Obviously this pissed off a bunch of other magicians when they found out so I had to go rogue and spend the remainder of my time here on the run.

As I continued my efforts to spread the truth and empower mundane individuals my companions and I eventually came into conflict with the greek demi-gods, causing them and the magicians to team-up in order to finally take us down. It was a hell of a fight but me, my companions, and the few followers I had who were strong enough to fight beside us were able to hold out long enough to escape and disappear. I didn't want to try and push our luck any further after that so I decided to lay low till it was time to leave. [Rolled 99d100]

Couldn't think of anything interesting to do so I just started a cult. GTA is a fun game, but trying to change this place while maintaining a good morality is virtually impossible, at least with my current resources.

So since I wasn't able to do what I wanted here right now I just saved and recruited people who I thought would be useful, then spread word of my existence through rumor and revelation.
>>
...huh. This is going to be the first build I've made that I'm going plan to take over all the things in. For the first time ever.

Now, considering that I have my companions set up as my concubines (and definitely NOT agents with l337 |\|1|\|j4 5|<1ll5).
That hurt me to write /jc/ it hurt a lot
What else do I need to look out for as a noble in Basilisk aside from other ninja and politics? My main goal is to take control of all ninja clans, basically undermining the so-called "contest" between the Iga and the Kouga. Then basically building up an out-of-the-way region of lands for Gennosuke and Oboro's children to rule over as nobles, the lovers themselves don't matter much to the plan, just the children of the Kouga and Iga Clans.

I miss Gunsmoke. See, I was a plant who was found on another ship and I was around during the Seeds ship crash and then I would watch humanity slowly build itself back up again. It was pretty inspiring to see humans stumble out of the ships, blinking and barely awake from cryostatsis, and build up small towns around the plants on the ship.

When my jumper self finally merged with Trigun me, they were wandering around with Vash the Stampede. And then they saw that there was...much conflict. Gunsmoke, while it was livable by human standards, was...a shithole. The only thing keeping humanity alive in the desert planet was the many static plants scattered about. There was much conflict over resources, and the dread that the plants would eventually die.

And thusly, my jumper resolved to build up a flourishing world so no one would have a reason to be mean to each other and be free of dread. And that's exactly what my jumper did. Using slime technology, infinite water, and other eco-friendly tech, I watched humanity become a kinder people.

I also uh, basically ran the place without actually holding any official positions because I was that influential. That happens a lot, actually...

But when I think about Gunsmoke, something draws me there. I miss it.
>>
>>51899325
Rolled to see if I would survive fighting the demi-gods and magicians after pissing them off for trying to break the masquerade.

And no I wasn't able to reveal the truth to very many people because of the omnipresent Mist that hides supernatural shit, and also because too many powerful forces were working against me.

However I'm definitely going back there post-chain to beat up all the gods.

Load up on charisma perks out the wazoo, talk them into a suicidal depressive state, convince them to go to a jump that allows them to gain something to turn off their powers (i.e. Digimon or Young Justice) and convince them that the afterlife (which, seeing how there's definite proof of THAT in many of the jumpchains) would be so much better.

Alternatively, convince them to go into any jump that has a "no previous powers" drawback" and to take said drawback.

Eh, not really... Just because there Wyld was/is the natural state of things doesn't mean it's /reality/.

Reality is defined by Creation in-setting. The Wyld's infinite sea of narratives is explicitily not "real" in that sense, to the point that most of it dissolves if it enters Creation.

Shaping effects on the other hand are defined as "altering reality" and "bypassing the laws of Creation".

I wouldn't necessarily say I made the world a "better" place. Certainly a stranger one, though. Early Overwatch looked like it was going to be more a superhero thing than the current incarnation. That first cinematic trailer was a teleporter and a talking gorilla fighting a blue person and a shadow monster to keep them from stealing the gauntlet of a man called "Doomfist". So I may have introduced a bunch of superpower-granting retroviruses and also some mystical artifacts for people to stumble over. Changed the tone of Overwatch to be much more conventionally superheroic rather than a special forces team that just happened to like silly costumes.

RIP Anon.

So I just consulted my current builds and I couldn't help but notice something. Among my perks, I have...

Support [Fire Emblem Awakening]
The Lodestar + Combat Recruitment [Fire Emblem Heroes]
Gentilhomme [Fire Emblem Fates]
Now I'm Here + See What A Fool I've Been [Ogre Battle]
Reach My Hands Out [Neo-Heisei Part 1]
Never Gonna Give You Up [Neo-Heisei Part 2]
A Bright Crystal + For Their Smile + Heart Surgeon [Neo-Heisei Part 3]
SAVE The World + ACT + MERCY [Undertale]
Brainwashing (This is a charisma perk, oddly enough) [History's Strongest Disciple]
A Brilliantly Shining Star [Fist of the North Star]

I don't normally stack charisma perks, but I just noticed that I have all of these and I'm a little terrified. Not only is my ability to befriend someone basically 'uncapped', but I have a lot of passive effects I didn't notice until now.

What kind of impact does my Jumper have on people at this point?! ALL I DO IS RUN AROUND AND PLAY VIDEO GAMES WHILE PUNCHING THINGS.

Oh, forgot about the whole "First time as a girl thing".

That particular thing happened in Harry Potter. Where a male metamorphmagus was curious about the other side of the equation (and relieved that he couldn't get pregnant by the whole thing). It was alright. Not spectacular, but alright.
That's what I get for tricking Malfoy into the whole thing and grabbing the blackmail material I needed for him to support Hermione's Candidacy as Minister of Magic.

What are some magic systems in the chain that tend to slip by most peoples' notice but that you think are cool? For me it would be pymary, from Unsounded. It works by temporarily moving around qualities, whether physical or abstract. Like, a blast spell could work by dulling every corner in an area to manifest a brief manifestation of pure Sharpness. Or an illusion could draw on nearby Beauty, and therefore reveal your true appearance when you're somewhere horrific. It's a neat little system, and given how much people love conceptual magic in this community I'd think it would get more use.

Ah I see someone volentiered my Kill Anything Combo so I'll detali it here for you:

Talimancer (Overlord [LN/M/A]) stores spells in physical objects + The Abyss of Magic (Overlord [LN/M/A]) makes any spell able to grow beyond its limits via time & effort + Sting (Worm) bypasses the physical defenses, up to and including dimensional quackery + Balefire (Wheel of Time) to unmake the target's existence + Magic Must Defeat Magic (Jackie Chan) makes it bypass any non-magical powers these things are using + Warring Warlock cancels/erodes their magical defenses + Anathema (SMITE) defnese reduction + Blessing of Stravhs (The Banner Saga).would create an attack that kills perma-dead + Conjoined Conjures (Cardcaptor Sakura) to make the magic play nice + Safety First (Cardcaptor Sakura) so that if it ever was used against me/Reflected/etc it wouldn't work full stop+ Final Casting (Demon King Maoyuu) for the full full weight of my magic behind each spell.

For maximum effect I also use all of the above with:

Chekhov's Gun
---
1. Base weapon Gravity Beam Emitter (Blame!)
2. Enchanted (King Arthur) to 'Absorb other items and gain their properties'
3. Absorbed Tracking Gun (Blame!) from >>48052946
4. Dragon-Forged Weapon (Merlin)
5. Import as Barrel Replica (KNK)
6. Import as Seventh Holy Scripture (KNK)
7. Absorbed my Caster (Outlaw Star)
8. Absorbed the Dark Matter Gun (FFXIV)
9. Import as a Golden Weapon (Magical Girl Noir)
10. Utilized Dreadnought Engineering to upscale it to short rifle status.
11. Sword Plant (King Arthur) short rifle.
12. Using Let's Make It Better (Unholy Heights) to improve the traits.
13. EX Rank Item Construction (Fate/Extra) to make an A+-Rank Noble Phantasm. [Be sure to use Monster Hunter part, Orichalcum, Orihalcon, Obdurium, etc.]
14. Fill 'Blank Legend' with Colorful Backgrounds (Drakengard)
15. Absorb A-Rank Noble Phantasm
16. Absorb Lance of Longinus (NGE)
17. Import as Juju.
18. Import as Dual Weapon.

It is for all those listed except the spiral energy dudes, though. And they can just beat people with giant drills that go beyond possibility and all that. But that's what the rest of them do; the Lord of Nightmares for example accidentally created the reality the main plot takes place in.

Also again-Aionon specifically said it only protects against effects that target your BODY directly, not banishing you from the material realm or braining you with higher dimensional energy or defining your existence as something that is not.

I only found out about pymary myself recently! Reminds me of what little we've seen of Gunnerkrigg Court's magic. I actually don't know how it works beyond the basics. Something about the afterlife and pymary being the gods' language?

Anyway, let's see-DC Occult's magic is quite neat because it's based on real world mysticism traditions to a large extent. Which means it's extremely versatile since 90% of the rituals boil down to symbolic associations and belief, and you can go about cause and effect in the daftest ways e.g. bind a soul to the mortal plane by cursing a man with a pickled cat. Or lure a demon's consciousness into heaven by getting him to chase your own soul through the internet.

Then there's Discworld magic, which is effectively D&D magic merged with quantum mechanics. So blasting people with coloured fire or turning them into frogs is still on the table, but now so is things like abusing equivalent exchange to telefrag an arrow into someone you scry's brain. Or on the witches' side, drawing on the idea of "horse" for mystic strength to trap a normally unkillable being of pure memory so it can die peacefully. When you get right down to it wizard and witch magic does appear to be the same art; the big difference is the approach of the former's easier for blowing things up but takes longer to set up because of its' inherently analytical approach (even without the unnecessary kibble used to deliberately obfuscate it) while the latter is more intuitive and easier for subtle but on-the-fly stuff.

Also, I've heard surprisingly little mentions of Wheel of Time's Weaves outside Balefire and Cuendillar. Chomp portals, dream stuff that can affect the real world, ridiculously buff magic artifacts-and so on. There's also LOTR's magic and Exalted's sorcery/oneiromancies, but to be fair those are pretty situational.

I'd also say Fae-Blooded from Gargoyles and Buffy's magic, but I could've sworn they were more popular back in the day.
>>
>>51901193
I was going to, but then I realized that I didn't really have any specific magic systems that I thought were cool. They're usually all pretty generic, desu. Though I like Awakening's magic even with the paradox, and Inheritance magic as well.

Okay, a lot.

My Otoyomegatari Jump had me coming into the Steppe Region as an American Traveller who got on a ship in Boston one day, then next thing he knew, he was bumbling his way across the Middle East, India, China, Japan, China (again), and finally into the Steppes. Accidentally collecting wives (my companions) along the way because of his friendly nature and cluelessness (that's the reasoning behind the Marriage Proposals Drawback, it's up to my Companions to steer me away from having more wives).

So now, here's the problem. 19th Century. Is my clueless American Traveller idea even viable?

If you mean like, a were-eater or something I dunno. Probably not with just the in-jump perks since I don't remember any EATER hybrids. >>51901439
Not him but-off the top of my head, you could harness Psychonautics, the dimensional wavelength broadcast technology from Ar Nosurge and Rick and Morty's own interdimensional capable together. Then use the HYDRA Blueprints from MCU and Dimensional Device from Undertale to build it all into a compact helmet that uses your brainwaves as multiversal search criteria during your sleep. Maybe also throw in the Second Magic so it can scan magical universes as well as deterministic ones, and the hologram technology from HALO if you don't want to bother inventing a superscience cable/wifi uplink to hook the helmet up to a TV.

A bunch of people all at once tried to get around the fact that Dragonball was an end jump by making jumps of Dragonball fanfiction. It got bad enough that Quicksilver gave up on the idea of Dragonball being an end jump, and gave permission for Heavens to make jumps of canon. So now we're stuck with four Dragonball jumps, and people are calling for even more to be made because they want more power...er, I mean, "really like GT and want a jump of that". Liars. No one liked GT.
>>

>>
>>51901509
Okay, so Val released a Dragon Ball Multiverse Jump, which is based on a pretty well made fan manga with its own site. Then Tamerai(I think?) released a Jump based on a similar concept which I haven't actually checked out. Then Heavens went to Quicksilver and asked for permission to make non-endjump Dragon Ball and Dragona Ball Z Jumps and released those. Considering this all happened within a week, I'm halfway tempted to think Tam and Heavens had them as private Jumps or were waiting for the excuse to post them and saw Multiverse dropping as a good time, mostly because it's hard to imagine an entire Jump getting done in less than a week (or in Heaven's case, two).

Nothing against anybody, I like the Jumps, but if that actually happened it'd be absurd.

>I honestly wished Delsin had been a proper conduit like Cole so he could have the same mastery of smoke eventually, and he'd get a big transfer machine like last game to justify the new powers or something. Smoke seemed really cool.

What I would have liked was if they hadn't gone with the elemental powers route for Conduits. It's not the case in the prior games. You had three elemental Conduits in the entire series, four if you count Kessler and Cole as separate entities. Everyone else has much more varied powers. But nope, now all Conduits absorb some substance and manipulate it, that's all they do.

You need someone interested in writing up a jump for it, and you need the writer to be good enough at writing jumps to past community muster. More obscure settings have issues attracting writers, but even fairly popular settings may not be popular among jump makers.

If you're interested in those settings, you can always give writing them up a shot.

Hmm, I was worried about that. How about as a labourer? First on the ship as a new hand, then finding himself a merchant caravan, getting separated and lost in China, but joining an expedition to Japan. Returning with a waifu, before striking it out on his own and stumbling (almost literally) into a Chinese Apothecary waifu. Following her route into the Steppes where they meet and travel with some Nomads, we separate a little while later with another member to the little family and rest in a small village before moving on and picking up our final member.

And he finally has a family again, a rather strange one, but hey, he grew to enjoy his travels, certainly he can grow to love these young woman as well.

You get something that lets you record your dreams, then throw the desired recording in the Adaptanator from Princess Bride. Set it to videogame. Done.

Only dream-recorder I can think of right now are Exalted's Dreamstones, but I'm pretty sure there's more things elsewhere.

I just assumed it had something to do with elemental conduits being better able to metabolize the radiation from the end of two or something. I mean, it makes sense that the ones based around absorbing and projecting stuff would be better able to deal with it.

Would Shaper's Authority from EVO work well in conjunction with Disgaea's Item World? I don't know if it'd count, because while you're 100% responsible for their creation, you only create the inhabitants indirectly.

>Shaper's Authority (400cp, Discount Bolbox): Your ability to retain control and influence over beings that you have created or shaped is greatly enhanced. The magnitude of this effect is dependent on the level of your influence. On an individual who you've modified and altered some they'll be more receptive to your influence, and loyalty will be easier to gain. If you're the creator of something, it would be trivial to retain it's almost unquestioned loyalty. To a certain extent this extends to organizations and societies as well, making it easier for you to obtain and keep positions of power, influence, and authority in those you’ve shaped. This is on top of any other predispositions such beings would have due to your actions and relation.

Ah-that one was way more powered by belief/intent than symbolic associations; it's not like, say, Fairy Tail where spells=spells and have predictable effects, John wasn't even very experienced at that point. He just fucked up by casting a death curse much worse than what he actually intended in a fit of literal teenage angst.

But basically, magic is a big, confusing swirl of hokey and taboo and temptation that means many things to many people and no one person-not even the greatest magicians of the age-have the full picture of what it actually is.

Which makes it /awesome/. Because it doesn't give two shits about what rank your attack is. You're plugging forks made of your own desperation into the universe's sockets, and hoping you won't get burned. And if you do it right, someone else WILL.

>>51901554
Eh, part of the reason Delsin rubbed me the wrong way at first was because the whole grafitti artist rebel thing reminded me of an out of touch exec going HOW DO YOU DO, FELLOW KIDS?

And to be fair, Cole ran into another personal tragedy every minute in the first game. Delsin had it rough, but that man powered through ridiculous amounts of pressure.

>>51901585
I assumed part of it was limits on the game's engine. Someone figured it'd be easier to animate bossfights if only one of them could turn into a big rock monster.

But yeah, that sucked too.

In-game, I figured the DUP going around capturing conduits meant the more obvious ones i.e. the ones who aren't just humans that project energy somewhere else would've been the first to be captured.

>>51901598
Most of my DB lore comes from TFS and the two most recent movies. What's so bad about GT anyway?
>>
>>51901659
It might be that the other kinds of super powered people are still around too. Conduits were just the focus of Second Sons because Conduit rights were the big focus of the game. Saving the city or your tribe from an overarching threat was more of a secondary theme compared to the focus on exploring conduits and how the world treats them as of now.

It's a mess of good, bad and decent ideas, but it was mostly the really poor execution that leaves a bad taste in everyone's mouth. Pan was kind of a useless character(not really strong or useful or important or likeable), Trunks is smart and competent but kinda boring and awkward, Goku getting turned into a kid for really no reason was a weird decision that felt pointless. Lots of different little things.
>>
>>51901613
Eugene lucked out by getting an abstract concept ("virtual reality") for his element. But he's the exception, not the rule. The DUP are all elemental manipulators, Fetch is a weird elemental manipulator but not really weirder than some of the stuff Cole could do, Hank's an elemental manipulator, and all the other Conduits we hear about in the text logs were elemental manipulators. But the Conduits from the other games only fit into the theme of elemental manipulation if you really stretch things. I guess that Sasha could have had "drug elemental" powers, but the Reaper Conduits had teleportation and energy blasts, not really an elemental thing. The Dustmen were just telekinetic and could manipulate any non-living object. The First Sons Conduit types could turn invisible and summon giant energy armors. And in inFamous 2, there were Nix and Quo having napalm (not fire, if you look Nix is actually summoning incendiaries and igniting them) and ice as elemental powers, but John's just Doctor Manhatten and Bertrand's powers only fit into an elemental format if you consider "mutation" to be an element. There's also some stuff in the audio logs about test subjects gaining flight or super strength or stuff like that.

>>51901659
Maybe. Though it would be better at holding onto radiation, not metabolizing it. The end of inFamous 2 had the Ray Sphere radiation being sucked out of people, not them being blasted with it. That still would be something where absorption powers would be useful for, though.
>>
>>51901685

I don't mean in the game as much as the world at large. It's definitely possible considering the guy from the first game was psychic even before the sphere went boom and powered him up. Full disclosure, I actually made the jumps months ago for my personal use and had no plans to actually release it on /jc/. Or anywhere, for that matter. The influx of DB fanfic jumps kinda indicated that this was getting a little out of hand and a bit redundant, especially since power creep had gone into full swing a long time before I ever set food in here. So I consulted QS and he looked over the jumps with me, then I released both.

At the time, it was honestly just a labor of love for me, and I did my best with Z to give it flavor. Hence why the power is just an innate 'start gitting gud, fucko', aside from capstones, anyhow. I feel like I could have done more with the original Dragon Ball, personally.

I'm still not sure what, if anything, I'm doing about other Dragon Ball jumps. Super I'm not even going near until it's done, and even then, it looks like it'll get way out of hand, way too quickly.

I just really liked the stupid shonen back in the 90s when I was growing up. DB and DBZ are silly and really dumb when you get down to it, and it doesn't even take itself seriously most of the time.

Anyways, let me complete the saga of karate bugmen and consider non-absurd canons before I ever go back into that arena. I won't rest until all of Heisei Phase One is on that drive, dammit.

From what I understand, the idea is that the Ray Sphere doesn't actually create Conduits, it just activates latent superpowers and augments them. So Alden counts as a Conduit, just one of the rare ones whose powers developed naturally instead of via a Ray Field infusion. I don't know, isn't it just hard light constructs packaged as video? What makes it a good choice?
>>
>>51901788
There's no evidence of that. I suppose it would make for a neat parallel given that he was Kuo's partner, him being fire and her ice. But he didn't demonstrate any powers until after becoming a living Ray Sphere, so which are natural and which are from it are unclear. In the evil ending where he transfers his powers to Cole, the only effect Cole gets is that he becomes a living Ray Sphere in addition to an all-around power boost, so it's possible that all the things John could do aside from the Ray Field manipulation were all inherent to him. So he'd always be a giant gravity-warping lava-monster, just a much smaller and weaker one without that boost.

Just a question, some settings have amazing artifacts and cool powers you can get by doing something or studying. The issue is that sometimes they're not offered in the jump, so theres no saying they'd work in other settings because their not backed by fiat or otherwise come from a source that isn't apparent in other settings. Are their any perks that, through hard work or through conversion of it into different principles, that would allow you to use these items/abilities in other settings by either allowing you to enforce their source onto settings or by just allowing them to work? Is it frowned upon to assume that they "just work"?

I don't mean some godly cheapskate powers by the way, Im talking about things like the Fog Of Avernus or Arcane Crystals/Outworld Crystals from Dota 2, they seem pretty cool.

Anything that really solely on something internal to the user should just work. When you need to carry around entire scaffolds, locations, and planes is when it starts getting sketchy. In my personal opinion, if you have a perk which allows you to access such things for its use, then it'll work for other abilities which draw on it and are not explicitly covered by the perk. If you were a mage from Dragon Age for example, I'd say it's not unreasonable for you to use the Fade for other things which rely on it.

The Force, as far as Jumpchain is concerned, is the Force. You can do anything with it that's been shown or mentioned in both new and old canon.

>is there any benefit to purchasing Force sensitive multiple times if you don't plan on taking any additional Force Powers?
Does no one read the supplement?

Do you have a Charyeok or national treasure you like the most?
>>
>>51903285
Hey Val, can we eat enemies with Greed in the Special Human drawback or is that just not possible due to R eating them first or whatever?
>>
>>51903285
Can a Greed user choose to /not/ acquire certain powers from a foe?

Also, can the effects of an SDS Commandment be resisted by the user if they have the relevant resistances, or are they guaranteed to affect you?

Yes. It's a good deal less strong then the others.

>>51903331
If they have Commandments, yes. If they don't, no.

>>51903339
Charyeok? Bruce Lee. Easily. Bruce Lee Not!Stand is the coolest thing.

National Treasure? Blade of Tathagata. I fuckin love the 'legendary and powerful weapon that looks incredibly plain' trope.

>>51903349
No, you can. R will, somehow, find a way to be at least as strong as he eventually got at the end of the series so he'll be pretty beast but if you stop him from eating everyone, he'll be less powerful then if he did.

>>51903368
Not sure. They can choose not to manifest/use every power they've eaten from every foe but I dunno if they can outright choose to not eat parts. If those parts are external, like Charyeok, then yeah they can not target them but if it's all powers within the body I don't think it'd be able to specify in that way.

Yes, if you have the relevant resistances.

The natural state of reality of Exalted is fluid. The Wyld makes up way more of Exalted's reality than Creation.

Creation is where pretty much everything meaningful to players is going on, and it does have a firm reality - because the Primoridals were powerful anti-reality warpers. Reality calcifiers if you will.

When it comes to random inhabitants of Creation, most are not reality warpers. However, any shaping effect (all sorcery/necromancy, Fair Folk abilities, quite a few charms) is reality warping - or reality decalcification.

There's also an entirely separate realm of unreality, the Beyond. And the Labyrinth is pretty unreal, too. Plus whatever's going with the weird void that Autocthon exists in now. Really, the majority of that universe doesn't actually exist, and is just really good at convincing people who do exist that it does.

As female: Jump 2, The Sims, with the combination of max appeal and shape in Body Mod, Seduction Master perk, and hormones of a teenager I didn't make it to graduation as a virgin.

As a male: Jump 5, Harry Potter, damn it hormones! Going through puberty while being able to change my appearance at will, how long do you thing I lasted?

After 257 jumps I can count the number of times I didn't boink someone in the first month there.

I like Sword And Sorcery, Aquaria, Catastrophe, Metroid, Lost Valley of the Dinosaurs, Stalker, Dinotopia and quite a few others already mentioned but >>51901103 is right, all of jumpchain is for exploring.

It also depends what you like, where you prefer your adrenaline meter to hover at and whether you like to do without every comfort.
In some settings you can spend years just exploring different cities, without needing to go more than a few minutes from a flushing toilet, electricity and a hot shower, and there are more than a few jumps like Alice and Psychonauts where you could spend years just exploring worlds inside people's heads.

Kattin steelfrom Dragon Ball is pretty hard, and there's all lot of very strong fictional Materials in Marvel,Capt. America's shield has withstood cosmic beings. On occasion if memory serves,. not sure if megastructure material is a metal so much as a resin, but it is also ludicrously strong. It just doesn't get much chance to show off because of how powerful the weapons in Blame Are.
>>
>>51903660

>What's the hardest metal

Diamond. It's scientifically proven.

More seriously, Cuendillar or True Adamantium are probably close enough. Using Fashion from Highschool of the Dead, "Your clothing and entire body acquire defensive properties equal to the most superior protective items you have currently equipped", so you only need to have them wear a gorget or something.

Alternately, you could create a time-locked outer shell and have the companion project a mobile body around themselves (or use spatial warping to emulate motion).

okay just get fashion from high schoolOf the dead, God killing boots from infernals and the perk from Secret of evermore.that lets you gain the benefits of stuff you could be wearing without wearing it. I think there might be another one in either terraria or Legend of mana?

I don't know about you, but I'm building it into Sajuuk when I finally finish its reconstruction.

I get distracted too easily and it is going to take a LOT of time to rebuild it, because I don't have an entire civilization spending a century on it for me.

Well this was a thing… Ummm I just signed up for a tournament where they were giving away a wish as a prize and things escalated rather quickly.

I competed in the tournament, I didn’t really have a goal and was actually going to grant several competitors wishes myself before shenanigans started. Then people started drawing on the power of the gods to use weird powers. Things were getting crazy. I had to fight my own twisted clone, the poor thing was in constant pain I managed to subdue her, calm her down and fix her body.

Eventually we found out that the gods were jackasses and had gimped humanity with some sort of Taboo. I decided to start befriending some gods who would be sympathetic to my Idea of lifting the Taboo. The first one I befriended was Heracles. It took a bit to get him to actually train me instead of just giving me power but he began training me… as in beating me near to death then healing me so we could do it again.

Soon through him I befriended the Celtic and Norse Pantheons who thought the other gods were being pussies about the taboo. They started to help in my training. I fell in to a vicious cycle of drinking the night away and getting my butt kicked by gods during the day.

(t. b. c.)
>>
>>51903949
During this I was getting Stronk. I actually knocked Hercules out with a lucky hit and was starting to give as good as I got. I also started a movement in heaven that the taboo should be removed.

I was brought before the Jade emperor who demanded to know the meaning of this. I merely explained I thought the taboo was unfair that while I had no desire to harm any gods I didn’t want to be limited by them either and that I felt that since they were gods they didn’t need such protections. Things started to turn ugly as my friends were agreeing with me and he was greatly displeased so I put forth the suggestion of a Universal fighting tournament. A tournament for everyone let the winner decide the fate of the taboo. Also the winner would be declared the strongest in the universe. Somehow the title intrigued a lot of gods who couldn’t help imagining being crowned king of bad asses. The Jade Emperor was forced to agree. It was also decreed that the taboo would be lifted for competitors.

So humans, Demons and gods competed in a great tournament. Just about every earthy and non earthly martial art was represented and I was faced with competitors of every type. I managed to survive dirty tricks by the gods, plots by gods, demons and human organizations and the subtle wrath of the Jade Emperor who scheduled me very often to fight my friends. Finally I made it to the finals and was defeating the Jade Emperor. Who of course declared I was an example of why they couldn’t lift the taboo. He reinstated it mid match but that won me the support of everyone there and I had a perk from Kidd Radd that boosted me to near his level. After an epic battle I managed to disarm him and defeat him with his own sword. He was forced to rule that the taboo would be forever lifted.

So what can regular Fate magic do?
>>
>>51904006
Be really shitty compared to everything else. If you're stuck with regular magecraft, your best bet is to focus on reinforcement and start punching people.
>>
>>51904043
Modern Runes are pretty beastly, too, if Bazette is anything to go by.
>>
>>51904056
Fair enough. But even then one of the best things we see runes do is make humans punch like Servants, so yeah.
>>
>>51904006
Basically, "anything HSDW can do but with 20x as much effort".

That includes such things as transmutation, teleportation, minor warping of time and space, house-level destructive blasts, decent magical enhancement, respectable physical buffs, enhanced awareness and senses, and quite a bit more. Bounded Fields are probably the most unique, which are akin to AoE spells that can apply effects you know over alarge radius for an extended period of time.
>>
>>51904006
It has some of the best mental enhancement spells of any magic system I've seen. Stuff like speeding up your perception and partitioning your thought processes to a ludicrous extent.
>>
>>51904006
I'd say ask Val, but she'd probably just say to go look at the wiki. But then she's also said that the wiki is complete shit, so eh, what can you do?
>>
>>51904006
Basically anything you could scientifically explain, as well as some things that would be really awkward to explain.
>>
>>51902488
>Central Asian horse archer nomad traveling to the wild west to find a man.
I could see it.
>>
>>51904006
Fate magic is a wide and diverse group of stuff, because of specialization and magi hoarding their own secrets there is no "regular" Fate magic, besides the basics like Reinforcement and Gradation Air, just varying layers of family magic craft.

If your looking for a regular settings magic system's elemental attack "shoot a fireball" then your out of luck unless you took that as your magi specialization.
>>
>>51904006
Depends on what school your specializing in. Alchemy can do stuff at it's highest levels like let you make Homunculi strong enough to fight servants or if you are mental a mental alchemist you can divide your brain up a bunch of times and be super smart and good at making magic items.
If you are good with runes you can make nasty traps, empower yourself etc.
If you are a gem mage your good at saving up your magic and using it to blow stuff up apparently (though hope you have a huge bank account)
Fate magic can also extend your life though not always the best way to do so and Reinforcement can make you superhuman.
That's what I can think of off hand I am sure I am missing a bunch.
>>
I'm rather partial to the way Fate mages can use their magic to enhance their physical strength for brawling.
