Infinity is a 28mm scale futuristic skirmish game by Corvus Belli which started with a bunch of Spaniards playing a sci-fi RPG together yet we're still waiting for the system to be released.

I've got a Tournament this weekend, are these lists at least decent, or am I retarded? Missions are Show of Force, Supremacy, and Transmission Matrix, and I know there will be a Yu Jing player and a Onyx player, potentially Nomads and USAriadna as well.

I'm a little less impressed with the second list. Double Fiday alpha strike sounds hilariously fun, but I'm worried it might be too gimmicky for a tournament setting.

Rule question:

1. For 'Reset', rules say I MAY apply Guts Roll rules after winning a FtF WIP roll. Do I choose if I make a guts roll or not, or do I have to?

2. For 'Dodge' it says that one must lay out the dodge special movement (in ARO) before the roll is made.

I was wondering what situations make this relevant? The couple games I played so far, we usually forgot or ignored this, with seemingly no detrimental effect to the game, announcing the dodge movement's path after the roll.

Asking because I aim for a deeper understanding of the rules.

This should get the ball rolling. If you are willing to proxy loadouts, you can minimize extra purchases. It uses all of the starter box models, though I feel the Moira is a bit extraneous. They really are best served when they get a hold of the big gun, but the existing SWC weapon users are hard to argue with.

Anyway the key is obviously the Riot GRRL core fireteam. 5 man heavy infantry pain trains are extremely compelling and the GRRLS are among the leanest and the meanest. Very good hacker protection with the tinbot with a killer hacker zero ready to punk hacker that tries.
>>
>>51862207

Thanks a bunch for the list anon.

Gonna pick up a couple other faction starters so me and friends can play outside of the local groups loaners.

Any other armies you'd recommend?
>>
>>51859917
1: Guts roll after surviving a hacking attack is mandatory, as it is an attack.

2: CB just likes to have intentions made clear before dice are rolled, it's really of no consequence in that context.
>>
>>51862207
I understand everything but the Moira. There doesn't seem to be any point to her. Lacklustre short range guns on an expensive and slow unit.
>>
>>51862841
Really it depends on playstyle and how much you like the look of models.

If you are looking to get to 300 economically, the 300 point army boxes are tough to beat.

Tohaa is a damn solid box overall, packing a lot of the must haves in one convenient box. Just add a Gao-Rael and Hatail for proxy duty and you've got a lot to work your head around. The Kosuil, upcoming Sukeul, and Rasails are solid additions for variety. My only issue is that some of the included models are a bit difficult to assemble (damn Clipsos).

Onyx is a bit rougher as a starter as it starts with two coreteams, but it is functional. All the models are new and thus fairly easy to assemble. Add a Samaritan, Med Tech Obsidon Medchanoid (aka Doc Worm), and Missile Launcher Noctifier to mix things up. Next stops include the Unidron SWC box, Ikadron, and perhaps the Sphinx.

Imperial Service can create it's own box with the Imperial Service Starter, Wu Ming Assault Corps box, and a Kanren. It, like Onyx, has two core fireteams out of the box, but is still functional. Also all new models. The fifth Wu Ming, a Gui Feng spec ops, and a Ninja can help round out some options. Expansions include the Yaokong or Yaoxie remotes, the infamous Kuang Shi, or the Su Jian depending on your preference. Picking up the NInja and Hsien from Red Veil isn't bad either.

That said, the last two options are for specific sectorials. Sectorials can get a little focused into certain styles of play compared to the Vanilla factions.

If you want something smaller scale, the two starters Icestorm and Red Veil are pretty good. Just keep in mind Red Veil comes in a little heavier points wise than Icestorm.

The idea for the list was to try minimizing extra purchases.

A worthwhile swap would be Avicenna, an extra moderator, and a Morlock for the Moira and Daktari.

As is the Moira isn't a bad shooter. In Suppression, she'll help hold down the shorter lanes that the HMG and ML miss.
>>
>>51863734
In that case then freeing up one point for a multi rifle would be a smart move as it has far superior supp fire.

A thing I noticed about Aquila Guard is that he has a Shock CCW listed, but none sculpted. Old HMG Aquila had a sword.
However he also conveniently has his arm out hand clenched, so he could be holding something.
And I have a lot of 40k bits lying around...
So:
Chainsword, Power Sword or Thunder Hammer? I'm leaning towards chainsword myself.

Chainswords aren't new, mang. I haven't played 40k in years and I've still got some lying around.

>Granted, the "HI in coat" thing is retarded.
Not really. The Aquila's coat isn't all that good for anything other than looking like a pimp and maybe pockets, but the concept is sound. Coats can protect your servos from mud or sand, and they also help keep the heat in when you're in cold environments.

Alright, thanks so far. I'm not entirely content with

>1: Guts roll after surviving a hacking attack is mandatory, as it is an attack.

Surviving a hacking attack and making a Guts Roll to me means succeeding a BTS roll (or failing it, and simply surviving the consequences the attack; having your comms equipment damaged f.e.). So in these cases the Guts Roll is clear.

But making a Guts Roll after winning a FtF seems odd, as f.e. you don't make a Guts Roll after winning a BS attack FtF.

So I see it as kind of in a special place. And it being in a special place, I still wonder if "may" in this context means "making a Guts Roll is up to you".

(Which effectively means you would have a choice between outcomes: decide against the roll means not having to suffer a failing roll, deciding for having to make the roll means getting the option to automatically fail it.)

I'm new, and seeing how bloated this assumption seems after having it written out, I start to feel that it's simply mandatory. Still would like to hear if there are other opinions.

If you win the F2F roll with Reset you may choose to apply guts. Meaning you can try and move out of range of the comms attack, following the guts rules. Doing this is optional.

If you fail the F2F roll you'll have to take a BTS save. If you survive you will be forced to make a guts check.

It's basically allowing you to move similar to successful dodge, but in a less straight forward manner.

Bandit would be the perfect protagonist for an Infinity single player video game.

>cool and evergreen mask + hood design
>belongs to the edgy but not edgelord underdog faction
>has invisibility powers and great CC skills, translating to interesting gameplay mechanics
>nice gear to choose for each mission: Combi, Mines, Shotgun, ADHL, Hacking Devices, allowing many different playstyles
>can always steal a gun from a fallen foe, carrying one at a time, without TT fanbase sperging about it
>is usually black and can be female for free publicity from SJW gaming media, despite being in a non-SJW world
>can meet Daktari

I agree with you in the point about the Bandit design is perfect for defining the Nomads.

If CB ever makes a Dungeon Crawler game, and they have to choose a unit for every faction, I would choose:

- Knight for PanO.
- Ninja for Yu Jing.
- Tankhunter for Ariadna.
- Hassassin Lasiq for Haqqislam.
- Bandit Hacker for Nomads
- Deva for ALEPH

And all of them fighting against evil Unidrones.
>>
>>51873254

Lol at Nomads being best faction.
Try again.
>>
>>51873286
A Deva? Why not a Naga or even a Myrm?
>>
>>51873286
As much as I love the Hassassin Lasiq, I wouldn't say it's particularly good at defining the faction. For one thing, the Lasiq is Medium Infantry in a faction defined by Light Infantry. Also, it's an extremely straightforward unit with no tricks in one of the trickiest factions in the game.
>>
>>51873286
With that kind of composition I'd exchange Bandit for a Zero or a Custodier personally. Ninja already covers the sneaky Camo CC guy.

Bandit is perfect for a solo game because he's a Swiss army knife. But in a party you need specialists.

Also with WIP12 Bandit is a shoddy hacker, not just by Nomad standards.

What does Ariadna do better than Haqq?
They were sold to me as the LI, camo-intensive underdog, but it seems Haqq has all of that plus a lot of variety.
>>
>>51873757
In game terms, Ariadna was never the underdog. What they do better than Haqq is spam infiltrators as Haqq's are pricier. They also have high access to AP, obviously, and have very different stat lines with Ariadna's being fite focused while Haqq is objective focused.

Spam.
Also they have a lot more AP and T2 rounds and Dog-Faces as a thing unique to them.
>>
>>51874407
It's a blast template
>>
>>51873757
Haqq really isn't Camo-intensive. They've got 1 unit that can take limited camo as an upgrade, 3 regular camo skirmishers, and 1 TO camo skirmisher in the entire army. Haqq's tricks focus on mindgames, misdirection, and impersonation with stuff like Holoprojectors and Impersonation. Ariadna is still the Camo king in the Human Sphere.

Rule_Bending.jpg

Three rule questions:

1. Can I dodge enemy escape attempts, having a chance making the enemy fail through a PH FtF?

2. As a camo marker, can I ARO dodge if a mine is deployed via intuitive attack in my ZoC? Is it a normal roll that gives me a chance to try to move 2" out of the mine's trigger area?

3. When a model leans out over an edge with a partial cover-granting parapet, do I assume that the model is standing at a higher level, hovering over the gap, but touching the parapet partly with the underside of its base, or do I just hover it on the far side of the parapet, touching the outside wall at the same level of height it was before?
>>
>>51874836
1. *engage, not escape
>>
>>51874836
1) No, Engage isn't an Attack.
2) You can dodge, but the mine doesn't go off immediately even if deployed through Intuitive Attack. It is a normal roll.
3) You place the model in B2B contact with the outside of the building so the silhouette is hovering in the air at the same level the model was at before peeking. Doing so with a parapet grants Partial Cover.

>best faction
I don't think that means what you think it means.

In all seriousness though, the nomads are a fringe faction in the greater Infinity universe. All they have in their favor is that they're a data haven. They're similar to 4chan: everyone's heard of them, occasionally they're useful, but they're largely irrelevant to the setting.

A game based in PanO or Yu would have a better draw. Of course, if they want to showcase all the factions, an ALEPH storyline would be the most effective way to do that.
>>
>>51873378
Devas are generalists and diplomats, by fluff they're the most numerous ALEPH sentient unit by a long shot. They get assigned everywhere.
>>
>>51878766
That's making the assumption it would center on Nomad culture. It's largely because they are fringe that Nomads would make a decent POV compared to the big factions. They have means and excuse to pop in a variety areas, especially the seedy sections. Haq, especially Hassassin as well.
>>
>>51878766
If we were going to argue relevance to the setting we could probably limit it to PanO, Yu-Jing (maybe), Aleph, and CA.
>>
>>51879943
>forgetting the spice
>>
>>51879966
Honestly, this would be good too. I'd like to play a game with Haqq.

>>51879798
But I just don't see a Nomad being able to be at the center of the action in a way that would display the setting well, not in a game introducing the setting. If anything I could see them as an expansion campaign or a follow up game.
>>
>>51878766
>occasionally they're useful, but they're largely irrelevant to the setting
>Nomad commercial missions everywhere
>Corregidor cheap labor basically built the Human Sphere and continues to do so
>made nations of Dawn independent
>first to be blamed for any terrorist attack
>mercenary troops can be found alongside any other human faction
>the only human faction completely off ALEPH grid beside Ariadna and the only one to expose its manipulations
>"irrelevant"
>>
>>51880026
A Nomad would be slightly to the side of the action, shanking people and stealing everything that isn't nailed down. Which imo sounds perfect for a vidya. The center of the action is a very dangerous place in Infinity, a single dude isn't capable of that much. Even something like an Aquila can't expect to take on a platoon like your average shooter protag can.

I think a game from multiple perspectives would be best and it would give an excuse for varying up the gameplay (heavy combat as a Jotum, stealth missions as a Bandit, highly lethal door to door fighting as a Pheasant, etc.) but that might be a bit expensive and hard to pull off right.

Nomads are good in that they are outsiders, just like the person first being introduced to the setting. Also they are in Operation: Icestorm, so it's easy to jump into the game with them. Not to mention they are the single most popular faction among the playerbase.

However the way you're talking it seems like you have something like an RTS in mind. Then I agree, Nomads would be a mercenary force unlockable for any big faction or an expansion, with the main storyline focusing on PanO and YJ (and CA if it was Paradiso Offensive).

>>51880181
>I think a game from multiple perspectives would be best and it would give an excuse for varying up the gameplay (heavy combat as a Jotum, stealth missions as a Bandit, highly lethal door to door fighting as a Pheasant, etc.) but that might be a bit expensive and hard to pull off right.

What kind of genre do you have in mind? For Bandit I thought explicitly a sci-fi stealth game in vein of Thief series or Styx. You could probably replace the Bandit with almost every other infiltrator type unit (Hexa, Oniwaban, Fiday), but has the advantage of being explicitly a deniable OP and having that coolness factor of an underdog in a hoodie whom even it's home faction may consider an enemy (I doubt Algauciles are fond of his thievery; also faction bias). And official fluff goes out of its way to present Bandits as some kind of vigilante superheroes.

Multiple perspectives would work for a Battlefield like shooter, but I'm not sure how well would stealth work in something like that.
>>
>>51874836
>>51875134
Sure you can dodge against an engage
>>
>>51880237
I was thinking of a multifaceted shooter for the perspective shift thing. For a more focused (and cheap) game you could go the Bandit Gear Solid route though, Bandits have a lot of individual freedom even when they're on a mission and they seem to enjoy looting.

>having that coolness factor of an underdog in a hoodie
The hood+mask thing does seem popular for vidya protagonists nowadays.

Should I just get red veil / icestorm?
>>
>>51882954
Either is good if you have someone to split it with. Especially Red Veil as the units are more varied and tacbow Ninja is more of a must-have than Father-Knight.
>>
>>51882911
If you plan to but and assemble models at the very least you'll need an x-acto knife or similar, clippers, and superglue (liquid is what I prefer) to cut off bits, remove mold lines, and glue the models together.

the two player starters comes with dice ad some terrain, and a booklet to help you learn the rules with a friend.

I'd go for Red Veil if you've got a buddy to split it with. Hsien HMG, Tiger Soldier, and the exclusive ninja are much more tempting profiles to field than the nisse sniper, Sikh Kommando, and father knight. You'll usually always want MSV2 over MSV1, a midfield assassin/specialist, and Tiger Soldiers are just straight up better Airborne Deployment Troops with Mimetism and a flamethrower.
>>
>>51883300
>Nisse
>not msv 2
>not goat
>>
>>51880484
Dodging does nothing against an Engage because of the timing. While you can declare Dodge as it's a short skill, it will not disengage you nor be f2f with the Engage roll due to timing issues. Just shoot/CC attack.
>>
>>51881008
nah
>>
>>51884148
Oh yeah, I think I was conflating it with the Bagh Mari profile. Similar in many ways like ignoring terrain rules and being Medium Infantry with mimetism

Nisses aren't the greatest MSV2 of all time though, not unless Intruders and Rui Shi get removed from the game
>>
>>51884897
>Nisses aren't the greatest MSV2 of all time
You what? Nisse is second only to Intruder and that's because he has access to smoke and Surprise Shot (but pays premium for this). There's a reason every other MSV sniper is called "Nisse equivalent".
>>
>>51884897
Not greatest, but the Nisse is definitely better the vast majority of non character MSV2 troops who usually get only BS12 with no defensive mods.

>>51883300
The father knight is definitely a tier below the Hsien, but it is a very compelling troop for the raw stats and options. The Akali is just cheap with BS13 on a drop troop. The Tiger is better, but pays for it.

I personally prefer Yu Jing as a whole, but the Pan O side of Icestorm isn't bad.
>>
>>51885507
>There's a reason every other MSV sniper is called "Nisse equivalent".
No they aren't.

>Nisse is second only to Intruder

therefore not the Greatest
>>
>>51885532
No, but it's top tier. Even with all the other MSV troops PanO has Nisse is pretty much auto include in vanilla.
>>

It will include Tarik Mansuri, Saladin, Khawarijs (super jumping high physique bio-immunity guys), the Maghariba Guard TAG, Zhayedans (Vets with marksmanship and breaker rifles), Al Fasid, Naffatun (like Ghulams but with flamethrowers and grenades), Ghulams, and presumably remotes.

Even without a link team it's still pretty solid as its own pseudo sectorial.
>>
>>51885975

>>
I want to love you, Infinity. I tried a few demo games, and got absolutely destroyed. The ruleset just feels so dense, like there's 20 things going on at once. Plus it just feels like as soon as anyone moves out of cover, loldead.
>>
>>51885975
Zhayedan link is going to be so weird. All these specialist and heavy weapon options for a troop that basically only exists for the breaker+shock rule chemistry, a rule that any sensible designer would never have considered.
>>
>>51886150
How demo were the demos? The old school advice has been games with maybe 4 troops and no camo, AD or advanced rules. Just get used to the ARO options and the common gun ranges. And, silly as it gets, play with "intent" calls for movement. e.g. "I move round the corner just so far as to be able to see that guy". That way, fewer AROs and the active turn player retains advantage.
>>
>>51886150
I had similar experience. Did ice storm demo and got Rambo'd by Akali. Played 150 PT and was destroyed by super jump missile launcher on fusilier that was in cover but facing away to watch my back, straight to LoL.

I would be going back for more tonight but weather is shitty, buying me some time to figure out how to get to second turn (or even finish the first without lol or retreat)
>>
>>51886226

That was basically what we done. I don't know the name of any of the units we used, but it was apparently the most basic dudes. The ARO was what fucked me up, it just seemed like he had at least 2 dudes covering any movement I could make no matter what.
>>
>>51886285
You gotta slice the pie anon. Unless they are literally on top of each other you should be able to angle so just one is in line of fire. Line of fire is open information so you can say if I move here, or put a silhouette there, can this guy see me but not this guy?
>>
>>51886285
Positioning is the first skill you have to learn to play Infinity.
>>
>>51886190
I just hope they get mixed into some kind of new but cheaper unit, or maybe just the already existing Naffatuns.

Linking them fully would indeed be weird. An outright monster in the active turn with BS 15 Breaker+shock ignores cover rifles, but like armor 2 in the reactive turn.

The one we had so far is a very fun-oriented guy (despite playing spammy lists) and he was more interested in 20x20 than ITS. Last ITS he did was a narrative TAGline one. He's very good at making sure every contestant leaves with a prize.

Now we have a second Warcor and this guy has been involved in making a local league.

Aside from that we have a lot of competitively minded guys who have been organizing ITS events with the first Warcor overlooking them.

It's pretty good here.

second highlight was painted with light flesh

apply some glazes with medium fleshtone and earth flat

I probably should have changed the handle for a one with a bird head on it, but I didn't feel like cutting up too many bits at once.

Now I'm also realizing I probably should have painted the chainsword orange, as I have a winter theme for my PanO. But I already made it white.

>- What is the most popular game played at your local meta these days?
Xwing, or maybe Infinity. Warhammer all kinda collapsed around here.

>- When is your next Infinity Tournament?
Had one last weekend. Have a weekly League currently going on. Next month most of the state is going to Rumble.

>- Do you have Infinity Tournaments on your Local Area?
They seem to rotate around 3 different shops.

>- Do you have a supportive Warcor around you or do you have an entitled asshole claiming to be Infinity on your LGS?
Our warcors are awesome. We have a great competitive meta, usually focusing on ITS. I'm lucky to get to play with some of the highest ranked players.

>What is the most popular game played at your local meta these days?
I play at a club and a lgs.
Infinity is the most popular at the club (no surprises there, one of the most well known warcors in the UK plays there).
The lgs is a lot more of a mish-mash, and one of the groups there plays in a really strange communal way which I'm still getting used to. On balance though I'd probably say Bolt Action is just about the most played game- and there's no Infinity there 'cause the lgs don't sell it.

>When is your next Infinity Tournament?
I guess it's happening right now? We're playing TAGline on a long term basis, we started early November time and we've just gotten to round 5.

>Do you have Infinity Tournaments on your Local Area?
Yes, see above. There's quite a few in reasonably close distance cities. I think the last big one the club went to was last December.

>Do you have a supportive Warcor around you or do you have an entitled asshole claiming to be Infinity on your LGS?
Supportive Warcor. There's lots of good advice from most of the Infinity players, but the trouble with that is that there can be a lot of back-seat gaming going on when I want to play the game and win or lose on my own merits. But aside from that it's a good bunch.

New guy wanting to start Haqq.
I absolutely love the aestethic of their tag and heavy infantry but reading about them it seems that they excel at using light infantry. Is it possible to make a competent list using the Maghariba with an Al Fasid or even two and how would one go about doing that?
>>
>>51901324
Running both a Maggie and Fasid can be pretty points intensive, especially if you're wanting to be aggressive with both.

But I'd say you could do a list with a 78 point Maggie and the HRL Fasid. Fill for specialists and LI for orders. Go attack on your active turn with the TAG, then duck her into cover and let the Fasid cover in ARO and back up on active turns if Maggie gets hit with glue or something.

Good luck.

You will want an engineer with those two heavies, and probably at least two Naffatun as cheap bodies/area denial. Djanbazans go in every list. Then it's just a question of affordable specialists - any camo guy, Barids, Rafiq bot are all good.

No idea, Yu-Gi-Oh and X-Wing are what I see the most of.

- When is your next Infinity Tournament?

Maybe March some time, hasn't been fully decided yet.

- Do you have Infinity Tournaments on your Local Area?

We've only had like 2, so not really. We only really have like 6 active players and that's a recent high from 4.

- Do you have a supportive Warcor around you or do you have an entitled asshole claiming to be Infinity on your LGS?

He's nice and supportive i'd say. He's shit at the rules though, he barely knows them.

Buddy is starting new in the game. I play Yu Jing and have only been playing a month so can't give advice--and it's tough to get the noise of the signal online. Last time I posted on here asking the starting units for Yu Jing, got great advice and have been happy as hell with the units.

So Panoceania. What are staple units for the Panoceania group to start, before he starts branching out? He's split the Icestorm box so that's what he has so far.

Fusilers look pretty solid in his learning game today--what else?

Oh hey, something I can talk about!

PanO is hi-tech and direct and likes long to mid range, while hating getting in close and personal (even the knights). Icestorm gives him a lot of good units and an ORC. The reason I single out the ORC is because he's the most boring PanO HI (but not the most useless, that title goes to the Teuton). That said it is still an inexpensive BS14 HI and he's great with an HMG. Akali is also nothing to write home about, but he's decent.

PanO has good LI, okay MI (outside sectorials, where their role changes), a bunch of good if a little dull HI and a wide selection of TAGs. PanO notably has no warbands at all (warbands being cheap suicide stuff often equipped with smoke that you want to trade with a lot more expensive unit; see: Shaolin Monks, Kum Bikers, Uberfallkommando). PanOceania also has no access to smoke outside a roll on Booty chart for Bounty Hunter. Which is a balancing act because PanO has a ton of MSV2 units.

Fusiliers are extremely solid. As a PanO player I like my cheerleaders to do more than cheerlead and Fusiliers provide a decent corner guard with their high BS. They are low on WIP though, making them shitty specialists.

What your friend would probably want, if he wants to stay vanilla, is: Croc Man, Fusilier Box, Auxila or Dronbot Remotes (or both), Support Pack. ORC and FK are decent door kicker pieces, but he can also look at stuff like the Swiss Guard (easily proxied with ORC) or a TAG. Any TAG will do, but the Cutter is probably the strongest one in the game and Jotum is hard as fuck. Personally I'm a fan of Tikbalang.

The Nisse is an essential PanO unit and getting another one (with HMG) or his big bro the Aquila Guard is also not a bad idea.

Konstantinos is a great asset, Bipandra less so, but your friend will probably still want the Train Rescue box just to have Angus. You gotta have Angus.

Also check the tactica: https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Infinity/N3_Tactics/PanOceania

Fusiliers are solid. The Nisse sniper and/or HMG is also fantastic. Akalis are unremarkable for their class but cheap as hell, and Orcs are meh in vanilla but can be proxied as better troops like Swiss Guard. The FK is super tough and a kickass specialist, spitfire or missile launcher.

Support pack has some old models but the profiles they represent are useful.

Robots as always. Remotes of all kinds are wonderful.

Croc Men are mean infiltrators and it's always good to have an infiltrator.

Auxilia are good backline defenders with their personal robots, if you can stomach the models.

There's honestly not as much must-have stuff. Nisses probably count, but one of those is in the starter.

Tell him to get a gundam. PanO isn't PanO without the gundams. The Jotum is better for beginners, it's more forgiving because of that toughness.a

Croc Men Boarding Shotgun
Crock Men Hacker

Fusiler Box
DronBot and Auxila Remote Box
Panoceanian Support Pack

It's not like Infinity is forcing you to do WYSIWYG and Fusilier Hacker is still good enough for basic hacking duties, while ML is not always the best choice on an expensive unit like FK or Swiss.

>>51906066
I cannot overstate how rad Auxilia are. cheap as chips with an sacrificial auxbot that'll happily fuck camo markers, and can turn the heat up on link teams without giving a shit.

the amount of times something I've done with an auxbot has been what swung a game for me, honestly they're great for what they are.

Maximum Overrobots is definitely ISS though, if you're fielding humans at all that is. They've got high availability on remotes like the TR, as well as the Su Jian, Garuda, Dakini, and good ones like the Rui Shi

Otherwise, you can go Onyx for the bio robots.

I've thought about becoming a Warcor myself after seeing their advert thing on the website. My FLGS used to sell Infinity stuff, but nobody ever actually came around to play. I thought maybe I could work with them to help drum up some interest in it again.

My problem is that I lack efficient and reliable transportation at the moment, so I'm not sure how well I could keep up my duties as a Warcor.

Let the slave robots carry the big guns in the unidron link and brave fire rather than your LT. Instead have the umbra hack them to crazy ability. Alsio having a 5 man Unidron link with no PSR or ML is such a waste of their unprecedented destructive potential.
>>
>>51909626
Some thoughts
>Don't give that Umbra a spitfire, the best profile is hacker. Your Unidrons should have bigger guns, they're brutal when buffed and have great weapon options
>if your LT is obvious either make it really tough or sit it at the back guarded. Current guy is neither, I recommend hacker Nexus for supportware and cheapness
>I've found T-Drone+M-Drone+E-Drone to be a great combo for robot-heavy lists, the E-Drone allows the M-Drone to use sat lock with no penalty and reliably target dudes through walls so you can launch missiles at them. Right now you only have Unidrons to target, that isn't enough
>Just look up the E-Drone in general, you can buff half your army at once, break enemy fireteams and get a bunch of nice bonuses.

It's not too bad a list though.
>>
>>51910147
I disagree re the legate. Mimetism and +1BS makes the Umbra a good gunner out of the gate and would let you use supportware to buff AROs, or else the mighty Q drone. Not that you have supportware! But, that said, if Umbra is leading the line, you probably want that Nexus Lt who can hide in the link. And, like anon says, with only the link FOing, the T-drone won't punch it's weight - it's kind of an all-in gimmick list unit.

E-Drone is definitely rock and roll (and combos with Fractra) but you'd probably want to readjust your combat groups for it.

o-12 means 12 planets or 12 systems?

>>
I'm starting to invest into some ABHs for my ISS. But now I realize that this means influx of irregular orders into my army lists. I guess I can counteract it with KuangShi orderfeed, but how do you handle irregular order count ratio in your lists?

Should irregular models always make sure that they'll get their points back in a game? Since you can't let them cheerlead.

12 planets (or whatever Human Edge is). Shentang and Yutang are a binary planet system, so there are only 11 systems.

>>
>>51911874
Depends. If I only have a single command group, no more than two irregular.

Once there are multiple command groups I'll vary it up. If the model can do significant damage and/or be extremely useful such as a dog soldier, antipode, Kum, Hunzakut, bandit, Uberfall, irmadinhos, Sforza, Yojimbo, etc, then I want to be able to feed them at least 5-6 orders.

If they are more of just a picket line to gum up opponents that I don't give a fuck about such as most warbands, inferior infiltrating Daylami, warcor, etc, I am fine with sticking them in groups with few to no regular orders.

An ABH can swing either way, depending on the plan.
