Don't fucking listen to these dipshits.

You play this list with objectives. Doesn't matter how slow you are when your opponent will have to come to you anyway and you're durable as fuck.

Only time slow melee lists suck is when they're fragile to boot.
>>
>>51703137

>>

>>
>>51703392
Are you playing against a brick wall?

Nurgle is not as bad as KBB but it's still bad and easy to counter.
>>
>>51703516
Hmm. I have my stormcast painted as hallowed knights, and I really wanna get nurgle because that's what they're seen fighting all the time.

I was gonna run a campaign for the boys in the office about a "lost legion" where the hallowed knights go deep behind enemy lines, and fight their way to an arcane machine that prevents the souls of fallen stormcast from returning to Sigmar.

Since I'm going to be the idiot paying for everything and painting all that shit, Nurgle seems to look real cool compared to Khorne (I don't really like the gothic theme) and Tzeench (I love them, but won't be able to paint them to look good enough).

Perhaps Skaven? Or recommend me a worthy, fluffy foe for hallowed knights suicide squad?

I have a question about fluff. Where do all the factions live? Are all order factions in Azyr? If I was walking around in Azyr should I picture treedudes chillin with some golden statue with a hammer, drinking tea and being serves by an "Aelf" of questionable origin? If I turn around would I see a fat tattooed orange bearded turd riding a lava shitting lizard down a magical street with crystal cathedrals? Like what realm is everyone in? Can they be found in any realm? Im assuming most free guild soldiers wearing a dirty tunic with holy scrolls redwax stamped to them won't be chilling down the street of some heavenly crystal city, amright?
>>
>>51704141
Assuming they are priced reasonably (~120), there is a lot to like about them. Their pseudo-Outflank means that the opponent will have to dedicate some units to protect his backfield, lest these assholes come in and murder the shit out of some squishy wizards or warmachine crews.
And if they are Battleline, even better.
>>
>>51704408
Basically everywhere.
A significant portion of humans, elves and dwarves retreated to Azyr during the age of chaos, yes. Some of those have set out to re-populate the other realms now that Sigmar's capaign has begun to recapture the realmgates and build huge-ass fortress cities all over the place.
But others remained (and died in droves for it). There's a lot of tension between the two groups; the Azyrites see the Reclaimed (i.e. the natives of the realms) as bullheaded, shifty and prone to corruption while the Reclaimed consider the Azyrites to be pampered, cowardly and stuck-up.

Sylvaneth are native to the realm they are born in (Ghyran for the most part, but they crop up everywhere).
Fyreslayers also remained in the realms during the age of chaos.
Seraphon chill somewhere in Azyr, but where exactly isn't clear.

And, actually, yes, you'd find those freeguild soldiers in Azyrheim. There's a constant muster going on in the eternal city and forces like the Freeguild are itching to kick chaos in the balls after centuries of preparation.

So in last thread a lot of fokes suggested that I should go with skellingtons instead of Tzeentch and Ogres.

Where do I start? Start Collecting Deathrattle and then just fill out with skellies?
I was thnking about something like for 1k points:
1x Arhan
1x Necromancer
30x Skeletons
5x Black Knights
and then either keep points for summoning skellingtons, or field up another 20 of them right away.
Also, does Arkhan break deathrattle allegance and I can't use black knights as battleline?
>>
>>51704141
IF they are battleline they'll be the unit of choice for cavalry-centric lists, otherwise they are a nice way to reliably project threat without using battalions.

If they are BL and have a reasonable cost then Liberators and Judicators won't see play anymore imho.

Each model gets 4 attacks per turn, 6 attacks for the prime if I'm reading this right, and they can deepstrike. With 2 wounds and a 4+ save they're fairly beefy as well.

Yes, you are reading that right, though the shooting attacks only happen on your turn, obviously.
They also can't take grand weapons and are slightly squishier, but really, they have different jobs. Liberators' main job to eat charges, screen more valuable stuff and get buffed by a Lord-Castellant and a Lord-Celestant sitting behind them, Hunters are there to operate independently, harass the enemy and murder warmachine crews and buff heroes.

File: The Bard.jpg (52KB, 600x1111px) Image search: [Google]
The Bard.jpg
52KB, 600x1111px
The creator of lord Cetrix and Knight-Alexia is Introducing... The Bard
Born a poorer boy in a small township, the bard grw up scrouging for scraps of the noble family who owned the farms and village that sprawled out around them. Most of his station knew too well the limitations that their poorer breeding had set upon their dreams, but the young bard was a dreamer, enamoured with the daughter of the nobles he would spend his nights singing in the gardens beneath her balcony, just to see her smile. Night after night he sang to her, whislt she leant so elegantly against the balcony rail and smiled down to him, and with each night his confidence grew until he called up to her, begging for her hand in marriage.
The young girl ofcourse had no intent on marrying him, and yet she was curious how far her admirer would go to win her hand, telling him that if she was to be his wife he must procure a ring worthy of her hand. Now the young boy toiled in the farms by day, the living he made barely enough to cover the scraps of food that sustained him, but he knew if he could save that money... just for a while he could get a ring and win his lady love. He began to cut back on food, day by day buying a little less, his already gaunt form becoming withdrawn and skeletal and yet... when on the brink of starvation he finally bought the ring he needed to win his lady loves hand.
That night he returned to her balcony, starved and shrunken but raising the ring aloft to her triumphantly, the moonlight glinting off of its golden form. Rather than the acceptance of his gesture the boy was greeted by the riotous laughter of the young noble woman and her servants, their scorn and ridicule echoing in his ears as he staggered, starved and half dead out into the wilderness.
>>
>>51706328

Too long he had gone without food, he barely made it to the treeline before his frail form and broken heart simply gave way, perishing there... alone.
Many years on, rumours and whispers across the realm speak of a voice only the nobles can hear, of a bard of sweetest tone singing sweet songs in the gardens of their fine mansions. Of young ladies slipping from their chambers in the night to find their gentleman caller. They follow a voice entranced, sweet and soft beckoning them onwards, the gentle chiming of bells ringing out in the darkness.
They see a figure clad in finery, a brazier illuminating his form in the darkness, it is only in their final moments, when retreat has lojng fled as a viable option that his sneering broken skull leans into the light. The Bard has claimed many a victim, their broken skulls adorning the chest of fine gifts for his "Courting" of the nobles, in death far more than he could ever have dreamed in life.

Quick critique, you might want to pay a little more attention to your sentence structures. Keep them short and terse will improve the flow of your sentences.

Example:

"Rather than the acceptance of his gesture, the boy was greeted by the riotous laughter of the young noble woman and her servants. Their scorn and ridicule echoed in his ears, and he staggered into the wilderness, starving and half-dead."

I think this would read better.

I don't really have a problem with well done monopose, as a matter of fact the models that all the grognards are nostalgic about are monopose as well.

Most of the multipart plastic kits just offer a lot of useless costumisation, with only 4 poses looking natural. Biggest problem with the Stormfiends is that it was supposed to be a one of a kind unit in your army and now they are pushing it is as a weird core unit which just doesn't look that good due to the lack of head options and other stuff.

The new Dark Elf spearmen are monopose and those look great in my opinion.
>>
>>51705557
stormfiends are a WHFB release, not an AoS release
>>
>>51706563
Not the Anon who you replied to, but when it comes to posing, one of the best models that I at least thought had/has a great variety in posing is the beastmen Gors. Weapons could be placed in almost any attacking pose you wanted, heads could be turned various way, shields could be close to the body or away from the body, etc.

The Bone Zone is when you use large units of Skeleton Spearmen, buffed by various heroes to have absurd stats. Deathrattle units are actually very dangerous in large numbers if they have a Deathrattle hero nearby, but you can give them more buffs with other characters as well.

Considering most scenarios have objectives placed in different locations on the board, it really shouldn't end like that, no.

Only mono-objective scenarios should be even close to resembling a mosh pit, but even then that will only happen if the defender keeps all his units in one place instead of trying to split up the attacker, and there aren't that many scenarios like this either.
>>
>>51706733
Yes, especially since they all carry throwing axes and can thus shoot into a melee they themselves are engaged in (which is bullshit). Their high cost kept them balanced, but a 20% cut across the board might be too much and will make them OP.

If you don't play objectives - every game.

If you do play objectives - I have seen it end that way like, 10% of the time maybe?

The matched play objectives tend to require you to move units around to defend and contest a lot, which is why slow melee armies are a laughing stock, and things like the Sylvaneth (which can teleport from tree to tree) are doing so well, despite being mostly Melee themselves.

WARHAMMER QUEST: SHADOWS OVER HAMMERHALL

Warhammer Quest: Shadows over Hammerhall is a stand-alone boxed game for 2-5 players set in the splendid city of Order – Hammerhall. Up to 4 players can quest in the catacombs and dungeons below the city, while another acts as game master, setting fiendish obstacles, controlling the antagonists (monsters) and setting the story – it’s up to this player to take charge of revealing the secrets each dungeon has to offer.

The game is fully compatible with the Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower game and the Hero Cards. Any miniatures or rules the customer already owns for that game can also be used in this game. In addition, the game has a lot of replay-ability, as character level up and increase their skills as you play. The box contains 32 miniatures, including:

5 Putrid Blightkings
10 Kairic Acolytes
10 Bloodreavers

Just finished the Gates of Azyr Audiobook.

I didn't expect the very first book of Age of Sigmar to include both the struggles of regular humans and a humanising look into Stormcast's doubts and fears, considering those are people's two biggest complaints about the setting.

Also I got legitimately pumped when the Stormcast warrior discovered the surviving humans in the devastation of the Realm of Fire.

The book actually has characters with some depth to them with goals and objectives outside of dying for Sigmar.

Its also nice to see how the other minor factions of Order interact with one another.

We /ratmen/ now

Skavenfags unite

we must discuss the GHB2 and possible threats to the children of the horned rat.

Firstly, i think it's time we admit our Stormfiends are going to get smacked with the nerf bat. I'd say expect no less than a 340 pts increase.

Other thoughts?

Let's see, Tzeentch seems to make use of shooting and magic from what i have seen of the new desciples force. Now thanks to power-creep shit will always be an uphill battle as they just came out.

I want to suggest a Verminlord Deceiver as all the missile fire will be hitting him on 5's and 6's but i am aware of the potential for mortal wounds coming his way. That said, scoring an early charge and stabbing the Lord of change to death with his -3 rend would be fun.

Tzaangor, horrors and cultists seem to group up nicely. Plagueclaws and wind-mortars shall tear them apart, that i know for certain.

I'm new to AOS so I had a question for my Death allegiance.

Does that ability to ignore a wound or mortal wound on a 6 apply after or instead of a normal save?

I'm a 40k convert so my idiot brain needs to know if I treat it like an invuln or feel no pain.

I watched a batrep but the guy only ever remembered it when his save was cancelled out by high rend attacks.
>>

ty, i have one more question, ratling gun or nah?
>>
>>51709397
>Does that ability to ignore a wound or mortal wound on a 6 apply after or instead of a normal save?

After. You roll PER wound on this one. A save is to roll PER wounding hit, where on each wounding hit you might be dealt x amount of damage. With your ability, you can make a 2nd roll PER wound dealt to see if you can mitigate those.
>>
>>51709397

For example:

Somebody attacks you with 3 attacks. 2 of which hits (success on to hit roll), and 1 of which wounds (success on to wound roll).

Now, you make your save, rolling only 1 die for that to wound roll. You fail! Damn!

Your foe checks the damage dealt, oh shit, it does 3 wounds.

No fear! You take 3 dice and roll them, getting 2 6s. Ah ha! You only take 1 wound then.
>>
>>51709397
let's say guy with 5 attacks and damage 2 and no rend attack your dudes
5 attacks, he gets 4 hits, gets 3 wounds. you then roll 3 save rolls, pass 1 fail 2, damage becomes 4 (2 wounds at 2 damage), you would then roll 4 dice trying to get 6+s

I'd always give the crown to the Furnace so it can still place the fearless onto something even when the Verminlord gets taken down.

Looks good, i always rate the Pesti-clawpack. But personally i would disband the 4th Monk unit add 10 to each existing unit, or consider saving a min 10 man unit for objective holding, i like to run 30-monk units when i can.

Befoul a terrain piece in the center of the board and march one unit into it, mark the other two units surrounding it with Inspiring and you will maintain your leadership.

Make sure Skrolk is the priest leading the clawpack. If he ever rolls a 6 to wound the Staff will deal a mighty 6 wounds in damage. I once killed a Magma dragon with him alone after casting Wither and charging in.
>>
>>51709150
Storm fiends will definitely eat a price increase unfortunately.

I hope vermin drop a bit in price, just 20 points or so, theyre a great unit but so incredibly squishy.

Skavenslaves should be cheaper, currently there is no point in taking them.

Clanrats are fine

Verminlords could use a small price drop, they really aren't that impressive for what they do (corrupted is fine)

>>

>Verminlords could use a small price drop, they really aren't that impressive for what they do (corrupted is fine)

The corruptor is the worst, and granted the cheapest but he cannot fight his way out of any combat that involves a 4+ save or more. This isn't the same for the others

If Pestilens gain relic items that grant rend, even on 6's this would change, but currently i think all Verminlords should drop by 30 or 40 points.

I forget slaves exist, but they should really toss them into Verminus or Possibly Moulder? either way, they could afford to drop

I don't mind the corruptors price because of how well he works in a pestilence list. He is a decent wizard with a great command ability, though I agree his melee could use a buff.

I think the biggest skaven buff that needs to come is a way to incorporate various clans without breaking allegiance.

I should be able to take clanrats while keeping storm fiends as battle line type deal, however I would say that units taken as auxiliaries (such as the afore mentioned clanrats) incur a points tax. So it would be 80 pts for clanrat instead of 60

- There are no reincarnations. The dead remain dead; most of them are even beyond Nagash's grasp.
- They contain people of all types. Moustaches are popular, though.
- Some gods or powerful spirits probably remember the Empire, I guess. Sigmar most likely does. A few scholars might have heard or read of it.
- Karz Franz is turbo-dead. Can't be much deader than him.
- The people that fled to Azyr before the gates closed were from all over the realms, but even at that time the End Times had happened aeons ago. If anybody does, it's probably coincidence.

So apparently the guy from table top solutions says his resins are better than GW's plastics. Guy makes "tomb kings" and wondered whether or not someone had tried them. Price seems high but if it's "that" good I may be tempted to buy it.

Drop the censers. See >>51707372
>>
>>51710987
Censers really suck. you might as well drop one unit, and take the plaguesmog formation if you insist on fielding them to get more use, and more importantly strengthen the furnace
>>
>>51705514
>Boltstorm pistol

they arent even fucking trying anymore
>>
>>51710987
Censer bearers do suck unfortunately. I'd run the monks with dual swords because the RE roll is amazing, thought you might have to drop each unit to 20 if you mind having some models not in range. Though I agree here
>>51711136
Since the options are limited (more monks is always viable) I'd run the plaguesmog as well, you get more out of it than another unit of censers
>>
>>51711286
>>51711136
>>51711121

thanks for the help famalams.

personally i think its better to have bigger units (and thus starves) since u barely want more than 1 plague monk unit in combat at once since ure gonna want them to attack first right?

i feel like if u have two units then 1 if them will get crushed before you can attack with them.
>>
>>51711335
>i feel like if u have two units then 1 if them will get crushed before you can attack with them.

In these scenarios you want to rely on Rabid Frenzy to save you

Charge with multiple units, activate the one that doesn't have frenzy, attack. then the unit with it is slaughtered, then roll each monk's deathblow on a 6, then roll each dead monk's free pile in + attack to regain your foothold

And i can't stress enough how useful 30-man Monk units with foetid blades are. some monks will always die on the march forward, but with 30 you keep the 20+ bravery bonus longer and then 1+ for being near a furnace, Bravery 8 is nice to have.

Foetid blades are the way to go, that reroll cannot be denied it's too amazing. combine it with bless with filth when you feel safe to go all out and also Wither + Priests one use book for dealing heavy damage. Staves just don't make up for this despite their range advantage
>>
>>51711335
Monks arent about surviving. They are about deleting one thing on the board that they charge. 20 monks with swords that charged with corrupted buff (I'm going to exclude any banners) will make 80 attacks at 4/4 rerolling failed hits .

Averages between 14-16 wounds against a 4 save

30 monks with staves ( same buffs ) average

Average between 9-10 wounds against a 4+.
>>
>>51711418

thanks mate this helped alot, somehow i overlooked rabid frenzy

I'm thinking about adding Beastmen to my Khorne Bloodbound army. I know they don't have keyword synergy with it besides Chaos, but I like the idea of having wild beast-freaks join my units.

Can anyone tell me how the following units are? Cygor, Razorgors, Bestigors, Beastlord, Khazrak. Those are the five aesthetically and rulewise who I think would be fun to add.
>>
>>51711585

there is a keyword khorne beastman formation but it has no points
>>
>>51711614
Yeah it's a big one with 3 units of minotaurs and 3 ghorgons, if I remember correctly.
>>

>>
So blade monks in 30s or 20s?
>>
>>51712098
1" range so I'd say 20s. With 30 more than most of them won't be able to attack with 1" weapon range.

Ironjaws and Orruks are simple yet open a wide range of possibilities conversion wise.

I like that their apparent comic relief and seemingly superficial side doesn't hamper them that much. The tidbits about Gorkamorka and Sigmar make them look like bros and consequently, the Orks are always eager to fight Stormcasts, not because they want to destroy them, but because they know it's a good fight!

Them giving no fuck about whoever they fight, and having fun defacing Archaon's statue THREE TIMES is the icing on the cake.

I'm making mine as the Iron Horde from WoD, with at least one unit representing each Clan.

The AoS28 rules are basically the same as the Hinterlands rules but looser and they let you take behemoths. It's a 1 page addition to the main Hinterlands ruleset, just search 'tga hinterlands aos28' on google and you'll find it.
>>
>>51713604
I was always interested in Orks... My friend is doing Iornjawz already and I don't wanna copy him. Is Greenskinz/Bonesplitterz a good combo?
>>
>>51713659
Sorta. Bonesplittaz really like their allegiance bonuses, but they lack some things Greenskinz can provide, so you'll have to estimate if it's worth giving up relics and such for warmachines and behemoths.
>>
>>51713659
Greenskinz have shit infantry (Orruks), while Savage Orruks are decent battleline troops in mixed Destruction and Savage Arrowboyz in Kunnin Ruks are very cute. Greenskin Boarboyz are good, and their heroes' buffs also affect Bonsplitter units (but not vice versa). Oh, and Warlords on Wyverns look good for 240 points, especiallly if you give them Battlebrews.
>>
>>51713752
>>51713792
I thought Orruks were good since they have Choppaz. I was thinking of buying the Greenskinz starter box. Is that no longer a good investment?
>>
>>51713812
They are the worst battleline unit available for Destruction. Savage Orruks are tougher for the same price (20 wounds vs 10, though Orruks get a rerollable 5+ if they have shields compared to the 6+ of the Savages).
>>
>>51713878
And their reroll on saves are only in melee .
>>
>>51713878
>>51713902
Should I hold off on the Greenskinz box then? I should have around £50 at the end of this month. Maybe I should get savage orruk boy boys and a big boss?
>>
>>51705121
Runefang a shit. Get stormhost silver
>>
Would I be better off running warhawks in a unit of 3 or as solos?
>>
>>51713659
>Is Greenskinz/Bonesplitterz a good combo?
Not really. Better off going one way or the other. Bonesplitterz are pretty great. Their archers are one of the best ranged units in the game right now.
>>
>>51714007
Other than running a Kunnin Rukk, what should I get? Normal Savage Orruks as wound blocks for my arrow boyz?
>>
>Skaven are now five fucking factions
Why? Why did they destroy the setting to unify all the factions, only to release a billion goddamn books? This shit is difficult. $$$, I know.
>>
>>51713951
Fuck off shill, Runefang for life baby

Bet you think Retributor gold is better than Balthazar too fucking mug
>>
>>51714067
Well the current trend seems to be that they're merging some factions back together for a book. Keeping the factions as separate entities but releasing them in one single book. Disciples of Tzeentch has the Tzeentch Arcanites, Daemons, and a bit of Slaves to Darkness in it. The new Stormcast book also added the Extremis Chamber, and the Vanguard Chamber isn't going separate.

Can only speculate, but I'd say some armies are getting multi-faction book releases. Khorne Daemons and Mortals, same for Nurgle and Slaanesh. I can see them adding Pestilens to the Nurgle one instead of say Pestigors. I can see them merge some Death together as well, and some elven factions.
>>
>>51714054
If you go Bonesplittaz allegiance, Big Stabbas for damage, Boarboyz for speed. And some wizards to use all those nice allegiance spells.
>>
>>51714083
Not him but I would argue that where Runefang and Stormhost are basically the same color, with Stormhost being just easier to work with and a wee bit shinier, the new Gold is actual gold, shiny, not the dirty gold/bronze look you get with Balthasar Gold, even more so with a wash of Agrax.

For examples, I'd use the new gold for Custodes, but not Balthasar, whereas I wouldn't do the bronze trims of my IW with the new gold.
>>
>>51713943
Greenskinz get a pretty bad rap on account of being vanilla, but I'd love to see more people playing them.

While Ironjawz and Bonesplitters have plenty going for them, Greenskinz do get chariots and different options to tailor your leadership (warbosses with Waaagh! banners, the wyvern mount etc). Also Forgeworld has a couple of sexy Orruk models.
>>
>>51714327
I really wanted to get them but I was told they are the worst battleline troop for destruction. I ain't sure what to do.

Anyone have any good resources for MTG card sized Warscrolls?

Is the setting purposely open/ambiguous as a way to sponsor personal creativity? as in, if I make an army of "duardin" and "aelves" I can work them into some level of the fluff? Or does GW lack creativity/haven't had enough time to destroy your young pet army in fluff-building.
>>
>>51714633
I use Vallejo's Model Air Chainmail Silver for my steel stuff. It's friggin amazing. Just base layer of that, a coat of nuln oil, then drybrush and it looks fantastic.
>>
>>51715102
>I can work them into some level of the fluff?

the fluff for non fire-slayer dwarves is not established yet, neither is any fluff for elves yet established.

You can make your own story, or wait for the background to be established in the next year or two.

I'm starting Free Peoples and I'm looking for advice on using pike and shot tactics in AoS.

The State Troops Detachment seems to be perfect for creating a Pike and Shot unit: Spears with handgunners, supported by shock cavalry.

But where would halbadiers and great swords come into play? Swordsmen? Where are they in the unit? Right now I get the idea the spear are the center and the gunners are on the flanks.

NOT NECESSARILY TOUGH

Ie, it doesn't halve all incoming wounds you twat
>>
>>51716797
In that case, either Slaanesh, Swifthawk Agents, Spiderfang Grots or Brayherds.

Slaanesh and SA are Sonic the Hedgehog-fast, and the SA have good range to boot, though at the expense of combat, which Slaaneshi forces are better at.

Spiderfang kinda centre around their hero units, like most small subfactions, but unlike the other all-cavalry subfactions (Orders Draconis and Serpentis, for example) they have the Destruction battle trait, which can really help boost their speed further. Plus you can't go wrong with giant spiders.

Brayherds aren't that good in comparison to Slaanesh, but if you want a fast all-infantry force, they're who you go to.

I nearly mentioned Beastclaw Raiders, but you said "not necessarily tough". Plus they're total cheese.
>>
>>51716915
Only the Stonehorns :^) And then no 6 mortal wounds on 2+ for you.
>>
>>51716944
Daemons of Slaanesh sound cool. Any idea where to start with £50?
>>
What is better, Crypt Horrors or Flayers?
>>
>>51717000
Daemonettes and Seekers, but you'll need a Keeper of Secrets. There are rumours of a new model for it to replace the absolutely shitty one they have right now (although if true, that's not going to happen anytime soon) so you could go with a Herald of Slaanesh as your army leader for now.
Just keep her with the Daemonettes and she'll help protect them.

Or you could just bite the bullet and get a Keeper of Secrets to start with and leave the Seekers for later.
>>
>>51717123
Horrors.
>>
>>51717155
Any reasons why?
>>
>>51717176
Better damage. Flayers are what you use as either:
a) a bodyguard for an Infernal Courtier that can keep up with him
b) some flying units to block off charge lanes and maintain board control.

They aren't killy enough to charge forward and hope, nor are they good at harassing (their ranged attacks don't have enough range). If you want a fast, flying killmonster, get a Varghulf. It's flat better at it than them.
>>
>>51717000
Your decision pleases the dark prince.

Pick up some 20 daemonettes (which is my recommended unit size)

Then you might want to convert yourself a nice Herold with the leftover pincers youve got

Then you want seekers and maybe an exalted chariot if you face tarpitting armies.

More daemonettes for your demonic harem

Now you should be approaching 1000 Points and are looking at big guys like a KoS or a slaanesh daemonprince

I like the color scheme and most of it is dome pretty well, this is a tabletop standard yes?

The skin needs a wash, it lacks depth and looks like he is made of paper. It's alright on the girls, but his smaller amounts of skin make him seem less "alive".

I like the gold crossbow but it desperately needs highlights and something to break it up. I'd pot for silver on the bolts and ornate bits or maybe some bronze if you really want warm colors.

The base looks like vomit, I'd change the colors on it.

Add a highlight color to the bits on his tables to make them pop, same with the piece on his forehead.

Eyes if you can do them.

So far 6 or 7 out of 10
>>
>>51718322
thanks.

The skin has 2 washes of the stuff in the top right pot in the picture so I'm good with where that's at.

Not trying to win any painting contests, just have a strong theme and a fairly simple painting plan for the remaining 29 of these.

the pic is extreme high resolution so every detail is crisp but from even a foot away a lot of your advice wouldn't even be noticeable.
