Ancient Jedi armor and blades from the Force Wars, lovingly preserved in stasis fields
Staggeringly accurate translations of various pieces of epic poetry taken from across the galaxy, worth a fortune to any museum and archive
Star maps, some of which reveal long-lost hyperspace routes (also worth a fortune)
The original manuscripts for various historically/culturally significant philosophical texts
A first-edition paper copy of the earliest novel in recorded galactic history
Blueprints and other technical references for the first generation of lightsabers
Pre-Republic stone tablets covered in hieroglyphics and ciphers
The notebooks and sketches of an ancient inventor
A manuscript that appears to be written either in an extremely complicated cipher or complete nonsense, filled with illustrations and anatomical sketches of flora and fauna never before seen in the galaxy

If Rebels or other miscreants tried taking hostages, Imperial forces would most likely just shoot through the hostages to bring down their targets.
How would the Empire handle a hostage situation with people they would rather not die. (Ex: Cadre of rich people that are supporting the local Moff)
>>
>>51685806
Counter-hostage.

"Let the Moff go, or we'll destroy the capital city from orbit."
>>
>>51685827
Perfect, thanks.

I expect this exact scenario to happen in my upcoming AoR campaign and want to be prepared for it. I could have some ISB dudes sneaking around since my players have an unfortunate tendency of splitting up.

I had a Numenera game where somebody went off by himself after kicking a resurrected Jack the Ripper in the nuts. It did not end well, unless you're a fan of cataloged organs.
>>
>>51685913
>AoR
Then yeah, counter-hostage.
Against EotE characters it probably might not be so useful, but Rebellion members are gonna want to preserve the civvies as best they can.
Against Jedi you've got a sure shot counterplay.

THat said, if they end up going full Saw Gerrera then they may well decide that it's for the greater good that the moff die.

Probably be worth it to build a dark mirror team of imperial security/intelligence agents who are working against the players, who can try thwart them with the sort of insane shit a PC party might pull off.
Plus then eventually when the players end up in a stand-up fight with their Imperial mirrormode, they'll feel like big damn badasses if they win.

The players are almost completely combat-oriented. I have 3 different Soldiers, 1 Hired Gun Marauder, and a Commander Instructor. My wife is playing the Commander and bought a megaphone specifically for this game, so I'm confident they won't be going Saw.
I have a Spy Infiltrator NPC with cybereyes that have been hacked and a Royal Guard that is specifically working to stop them. I like the idea of giving him a team to mirror the PCs.
>>
>>51686089

The mirror team thing has the advantage of being a bunch of mini villains for the party individually, and then a genuinely big threat as a group.

Then the players can try and hunt down their hunters - perhaps they intercept a communique which says that the elite imperial slicer in their mirror group is gonna be going through an isolated system with little chance of reinforcements.
They can try and assassinate him, or hell, they can try and flip him.

If they get him, the mirror team might not be able to slice systems against the players even half as well, but they might get generally angrier - perhaps their numbers are bolstered, perhaps their escorts get bigger in future. You can make them a truly evolving enemy with multiple 'heads' for the players to struggle against, full blown nemesis squad.

Is trying to attack in a lethal manner on reflex and/or in a complete void of thought (not emotion, thought, ie without making the conscious choice to strike) a darkside/conflict worthy act? My friend is trying to argue that it's not because it's an action without intent, emotion or motive and therefore is antithetical to the dark, but I think that since the Lights nature is to never attack except as a last resort and/or for a righteous purpose, if you commit an act of violence that has no purpose because it didn't have any reason or consciousness behind it must be dark. If you do violence, especially violence which is potentially lethal, in a total vacuum of meaning because you're totally unconscious of it, then you have surrendered control in the hopes of getting a positive outcome with no regard given for potential harm to innocents that could occur because of your act. That screams dark to me. Does my logic track?

What sort of stats should I give an AT-DP walker in EoTE?

In an upcoming session, the party will fall into a trap set by a Hutt (who they effectively stole from in the past, but all forgot about). The Hutt will have sold the party out to the Empire, who will be lying in wait with a substantial number of Stormtroopers, with armoured support.

I looked at the statlines for the AT-PT and -ST, but they are far too heavily armed and armoured for my party to stand a chance.

Maybe they just have to run away to fight another day? Heck, even hard-ass rebels gets the hell out of dodge if armored assets starts appearing on the battlefield and they have no anti-armor ordinance.

Running from a AT-DP could also be set up a cool chase scene. Maybe there's a bunch of scout troopers around for the PCs to steal bikes from? Or if they are in a city, they might cut through alleyways and/or over rooftops while the AT-DP has to stick to roads?

My second greatest passion after SW are dance movies and musicals, so let's try this one for size:

STAR WARS EPISODE IV: DANCE OF THE FATES

The Galactic Senate Dance Battle is the biggest competition around. Previously, the Jedi were the hottest crew in the galaxy, but one of their greatest dancers was seduced to join their opposing crew, the Sith, with money, fame, sweeter light shows and a chance to make it big on the holonet. To make things worse for our poor Jedi, their bomb-ass synchronised pop and lock crew, the Clones, turned out to have been working for the Sith all along, just trying to get the Jedi to the final round of the Galactic Senate dance-off competition so the Sith could waste them in front of the biggest audience possible.

Destroyed, lost and dejected, the Jedi have disappeared. But some young dancers, inspired by their potent acrobatics and no-money-no-shit philosophy have formed a Rebellion against the Sith crew - now known as the Galactic Empire after a series of massive ad deals they pulled with real estate firms.

Rumour has it that one of those firms is trying to redevelop all of the land which houses Rebel crews into luxury condominiums, and is trying to buy out the Galactic Senate dance competition in order to shut it down and finish the Galactic dance-offs, so the Imperials will have won FOREVER!

A new hope exists though - a sweet, but reluctant dancer called Moose Skywalker. A man who just wants to be an electrical engineer, but his dynamic dance moves peg him as the heir to the Jedi. Can the Rebels dance their way to freedom, uncovering the lost moves of the Jedi and restoring peace and balance to the galactic dance scene?
>>
>>51688916
(Cont.)
Some general references/ideas to make this campier and dancier:

Biggs was a scholarship student at the Imperial Institute for the Arts, but he couldn't hack the regimented choreography of the Imperials - it looked great, but it had no soul. He found himself defecting to the Rebels, becoming one of their top frontmen in the dance battles to follow.

Saw Guerrera was a competitor in the last Galactic Senate dance off - when they faced off against the Seperatists, a loose affiliation of rogue crews who were dissatisfied with the rues of the competition - where they felt the judges were overly sympathetic to certain crews over others.
(These feelings particularly increased after the famous dance battle of Naboo, where the Senate ruled that a last minute crew addition of a young ANakin Skywalker to the Naboo side was perfectly legal, but that co-ordinating the most synchronised robot using a central command tower was cheating, and the Trade Federation crew were disqualified)
Saw has grown jaded over the years since the Sith's victory. Once a member of the Rebel Alliance, he now runs his own crew, which aims to change the way people think about the Imperials by direct action. His flash mobs, dance protests and integrated street art installations are the stuff of legends - they move wth impressive displays of dance before fading back into the public, unseen and unnoticed.

Also, a clone trooper (as played by Tia Maipi) from the last Dance off, so I'm not/ just/ dropping Step Up.
The Seperatists totally had a problem with the Jedi crew getting around the 'No central command tower robot choreography' rule by using identical clone warriors trained from birth to co-ordinate their movements. That shit is not fire. The Sith crew, led by Dooku, telling the Seperatists about the clones is what caused the Seperatist crews to enter the last dance off in the first place.

I think the logic is one of intent...
Inducing something like a sniper's void I'd argue would be actually pretty dark side, action-wise, because you go into the scenario going "Well, I'm gonna kill a dude, so I guess I'd better try to just turn off all my emotional receptors to it." There is a conscious action to unfeel which distinguishes it from the light side action of accepting that you are doing an awful thing by destroying another life - even if that life is evil - and processing it.

On the other hand, to try and argue that an animal catching and eating its prey is a dark side act would be recognised as a bit silly by everyone here, I'd think. So the kind of scenario where a reflexive action occurs and deals undue harm to an unintended victim (to take a silly example... say Wham reflexively attacking whoever is in his shadow in JoJo's) probably wouldn't be dark side in itself, though you'd have to consider the motives behind an individual learning such a technique in the first place (Sounds like one that would reasonably be motivated by fear or anger)

Are you talking about the comic series?
>>
>>51683617
Hey /SWG/ I have a new plan for a RPG
> Four players
> Set 19 BBY
> AOR / EOTE / F&D mix
> Everybody starts off as Imperial stormtroopers
>No names, just generic stats of a storm trooper ( From the book) and a designation
> If their character dies they just pick a new designation and keep playing with the same trooper states
> Wear down their unit over the course of the first game
> Survivors and officers thrown into conflict after conflict
> Finally the last few survivors are pulled off the line
> Sent for R&R
> GM (Me) rolls a few dice from each players sheet. Those survivors are chosen for "extensive combat training"
> Send Party to Carida
> Next couple of sessions turns into SEAL training hell (Work outs, push ups, night training and fighting)
> Finally they graduate and become STORM COMMANDOS

> Real fun begins
> Get assigned dangerous missions throughout the galaxy
> CUE REPUBLIC COMMANDO type missions

> Any time a commando dies they could pull from the list of survivors they have "gone through training with" and pull them in as new PCs

Could this be fun?
>>
>>51687870
>>51688772

I have to admit, Storm Commandos (or if you want, Katarn-equipped Imperial Commandos) are best suited to the role.
Death Troopers serve more of a bodyguard role for high-level targets.
Though I guess now that I say that, they should be the first responders depending on the target.
>>
>>51691255
Could be, eventually, if the intro doesn't kill it before it even begins. Playing a generic stormie without the least shred of individualization would kill my interest after a few sessions, if not amazingly done.
>>
>>51690148
The comic series? Probably the Fel Empire and Space Stannis as the head of it. An empire about actual order and security rather than being puppets of some high Sith/Dark Side person is the perfect government for the Star Wars Universe.
>>
>>51691327
thinking only 1 session of that anon. After that session they would pick a designation of their choice from the list of survivors and fill out their own stats

you should probably add some human elements to the characters make them relate able and some camaraderie for everything to make it mean something when they die and make them maybe get attachment to a character so they don't just go "well fuck it i got 500 more troopers lets just human wave this guy", it should also feel really good getting to commando status on a character you've pulled through hell and back surviving shit expendable troop status.
Just like when you lose your buddy in Republic Commando you got to know your team you actually got to care and learn each ones personality.
You could even go to the point of giving them team work checks and if some one died and pulled the new guy he would get a penalty because they resent him even if its on a subconscious level because hes trying to replace their lost battle buddy and are a constant reminder they could die too.
>>
>>51690148

If you're talking about the comic series, I love the main arcs like the first one and Claws of the Dragon. Basically anything written by Ostrander and Duursema. I didn't like the side-stories too much, except maybe "Noob".
Overall I do like the concept and personally think it was one of the better overall entries into the Star Wars canon, simply for being unique yet a lot of arcs still having that classic "Star Wars" feel. I kinda want to see some stuff from it again in the NuCanon (pic related is Darth Talon concept art from TFA)

Of course they are, they are shock troops. They storm ships and beaches alike, and drag out rebel assholes into the street and spray their corpse with e-11 fire so that you and all your other rebel asshole friends get the idea to STOP KIDNAPPING people the empire cares about.

What the hell else is a hostage situation if not a public statement, and what else is the point if not to make a counter statement. Send in the SWAT and let em look badass doing it. With storm commandos, you cant let them be filmed/seen because it ruins their opsec and mystical image. I've seen similar games run with the 40k systems. The issue is that the "whittling" and "training" sections feel like filler content. They cruft you have to deal with before you get to the real plot.

FFG's system is not well suited to this type of game, as far as I can tell. Fate definitely isn't. Maybe look at the old WEG d6 system, but trim off unused rules and build some houserules?

Have you played KotOR? If not, now is the time. It's available on smartphones now, which runs a lot better than trying to get it to work on a modern computer.

If you've played the game, have you read the Knights of the Old Republic comics that lead up to that game? They're referential but not directly necessary for understanding anything during the time period. Nonetheless, they're very good and guaranteed to give you a character idea.

Check them out here:
http://www.readcomics.tv/star-wars-knights-of-the-old-republic-2006/chapter-1/1

Some general bits of lore from that era:

Jedi are prevalent, but the Order itself is recovering from a schism that led to half the Jedi falling to the Dark Side. The ones that are left are either entrenched in power within the Jedi hierarchy already, pacifistic, paladin-level righteous good, or not particularly powerful... 'cause everyone else left to fight in the unsanctioned Mandalorian Wars.

Smugglers and scoundrels fit into every era. As do soldiers - but you're not a stormtrooper in this era, just a trooper. And if you're in the Republic military, you'll be wearing funny looking helmets. Pic related.

>>
>>51693564
According to new canon sources, the first Death Star cost more than 1 trillion credits to build, while legends sources put the cost of Executor around 1.1 billion credits. So you could conservatively expect to build 10 Executor-class Star Dreadnaughts for the cost of the Death Star.

Alternatively, you could build around 7,000 Imperial II-class Star Destroyers.

Personally, I'd take the ISDs every day, provided I had enough people to crew them all. That is one advantage of the Death Star, relative to its size and cost, it was surprisingly crew efficient at about 1.2 million crew members, which would crew only about 33 ISDs.

Just watch the cinematic cut-scenes for The Old Republic. Pretty much the only parts of that game that were done right. Should at least give you a visual feeling for everything, even though the game takes place a hundred or so years after KotOR.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NuNvCOUy1Ts

I think there is another video that they made, although it was after Disney cut the canon and the devs decided to go completely crazy with everything since the game was non canon now and they could pretty much do whatever they wanted.

Because it ain't fair, kiddo. Yoda's species is long-lived, too.

Gen'dai can live thousands of years and regenerate their bodies. Anzati in Legends could live hundreds of years as well (by sucking the Force out of people. It's a long, no-longer-canon story).

There's plenty of other species with these traits, too. Roleplaying as one of these species isn't easy, since your character has had so much backstory and would tend not to be reactionary.

If you want a bit more info on the time period, a second tl;dr:

You're going to hear about Darth Revan and Darth Malak. They were Jedi (Revan and Alek, at the time) who convinced thousands of their fellow Jedi to disobey the Jedi Council and go to war with the Mandalorians (a clan-based nomadic warrior culture that was invading) to defend the Republic.

Now, the Mandalorians (the whole culture is based off of Boba Fett, even though he's... apparently not one in canon any longer.) are doing some pretty awful stuff. Genocides, attacking civilians and combatants alike, et cetera. So Revan is kinda a savior. Or he would be, if he hadn't came across something in unknown space that turned him to the Dark Side. And with Revan, fell his army.

They beat the Mandalorians, but came back to the Republic as conquerors. They formed a Sith Empire and encroached upon the Mid Rim - until Revan was defeated above Taris and Malak took over. If you don't want to read KotOR spoilers, don't read these Revan had his memory wiped by the Jedi Bastila Shan, who taught him to be a Jedi all over again. The Jedi used his latent knowledge as he slowly regained his memories to track down the source of the Sith Emperor's Dark Side power base, an ancient foundry space station called the Star Forge, and Revan went on to defeat his former apprentice and win the day for the Republic.
>>
>>51694884

Given the sheer amount of Star Wars lines FFG has in flight (X Wing, Armada, Imperial Assault, LCG, Rebellion board game, Destiny, as well as the RPGs) I am quite sure they are not facing the license being pulled/not renewed any time soon.
>>
Quick question.

Is it intentional that most Specializations have a lot of overlap for additional Career skills with their base career? (I assume so, considering you get free points to assign to that) but it seems to quite significantly limit some Specs (an Ace/Driver effectively only has 9 career skills, for instance)

To be fair, the Cicaidamen of Zargul Four die after two years, so it's not so bad.
>>
>>51695173
Revan then left the Republic to confront the "True Sith" that he hazily remembered were somewhere out there in the Unknown Regions.

KotOR II: The Sith Lords spoilers:

In Revan's absence, the Jedi were systematically wiped out, all except for a small handful, by three powerful home-grown Dark Jedi who took up the Sith mantle: the Sith Triumvirate. They were eventually defeated by Meetra Surik, one of the Jedi who had taken up Revan's call to fight the Mandalorians - but the only one to return to the Jedi Council for punishment when it was all over. Surik had been one of Revan's top generals until she was cut off from the Force as an instinctual response to activating a dreadful superweapon that destroyed the Mandalorian fleet once and for all.
>>
>>51695258

I believe the overlap is somewhat intentional. It allows some specs at character creation to get certain skills up to 2 without any XP cost, allowing for a more proficient character from the start.

Also, that overlap serves a second function, as it allows a player from outside of that career to pick up the career skills necessary to do the job. An example would be a Soldier picking up the Ace specialisation, and thus being able to get those skills for cheaper.
>>
>>51695173
>>51695306
So, all that said, some characters that would be interesting to play:

Some sort of not-super-powerful Jedi who would never had been accepted for training, had half the Jedi not run off to fight a war.

A Mandalorian who survived the Mandalorian Wars, and now sells his services as a mercenary, bounty hunter, gladiator, or other sort of violent thug.

A veteran pilot of the Mandalorian Wars who has now turned to smuggling and wants to stay away from anywhere that there's active combat.

A merchant, trader, or even... musician? from Taris - by the way, the Sith under Malak razed the surface of Taris, destroying what was once an ecumenopolis - who lost everything (his home, his family, his business, his wealth) when the Sith destroyed it. Now he has turned to crime to make ends meet.

Alright /swg/, want to pick some brains a little here.

As kind of a thought experiment because people always complain about 100/6 for X-Wing, I'm trying to brainstorm a sort of competitive campaign for X-Wing similar to my understanding of Armada's campaign box.

I already have plenty of ideas for objective/mission cards in the vein of X-Wings missions already (but a little less focused on the specific ship packaging) and some general ideas for squad building rules (I/E if you lose a unique pilot or upgrade it's gone forever, multiple players on a "team" can't use the same unique, ideally you build your list before knowing what the mission is, and if you're crazy hardcore you need to keep the same list through the entire campaign unless you lose a ship during play, then you can replace it).

Mostly in this thought experiment phase, I'm unsure of the actual "campaign" element of the mechanics. As a fan of classic Battlefront's Galactic Conquest, I was thinking a galaxy map (for laziness sake, pulling planets from the art assets FFG has recycled for X-Wing boxes) where each team or player (including possibly Scum for 2v2/3v3, maybe Xizor gets his coup after all) picks from a certain number of "base" planets, and the game ends when you take out all other players bases, and each "turn" you move a little token - if a planet is uncontrolled you control it - if it is controlled you play a mission on it, and if the other guy's token is there maybe to play a special mission or some other rule comes in. And maybe an optional rule where each planet has a single use per campaign bonus you could spend to give some planets tactical value over others. Something which theoretically a couple of friends could bang out in an afternoon, or over the course of a couple days if they want.

How does this high-level sound?

It was a proposed design by Kenner post-RotJ for a continuation of the Star Wars story in action figure form. The Annihilator would have been the flagship of the Big Bad: Atha Prime.

To save costs, they designed it using the molds they already had for their Star Destroyer toy. So it's just two of 'em stuck together.

All that said, I want to use it now, if only to see how my PCs react.

Personal canon?

It's ludicrously dangerous. It's the kind of thing that some madman builds in his garage and it works about twice before exploding. The batteries alone make it dangerous, but combining the lasers and keeping them on target is difficult. If the emitters are damaged your ship will tear itself apart or slice through your enemies. And it's used on continuous fire mode! Even the Death Star just fired for a half second or so.
>>
>>51698980
The explanation for why that weapon did make it to the production model is that firing it fries the hyperdrive or some shit. Presumably because of the power draw.

But you could, you know, design a better system. Or put it on a bigger ship. And then you have a decalaser or picosuperlaser or whatever. Gradeventilaser.

>put it on a bigger ship
The Empire did it twice, in 1977 and 1983, long before Rebels. Then it happened again in one version of Star Tours. Legends did it a bunch, too, as we saw with the Eclipse, the one-off Conqueror, the Eclipse II, and one of the Worldcraft ships.

In nucanon, it's probably because the toy designers haven't come up with something suitably cool-looking and marketable yet.
>>
>>51699021
The phrase "single reactor ignition" from Rogue One is very evocative. It implies that there's some sort of process that goes: fuel reactor -> ignite reactor -> collect energy -> fuck that's a lot of energy -> immediately use it to power the weapon before the entire station explodes -> fire weapon.

You don't want to keep that kind of energy around. You can't just store it in a battery, because the battery becomes a very dangerous bomb. Remember those exploding phone batteries? Doesn't really happen with 9-volts, because the energy contained in a phone battery is orders of magnitude higher.

Anyway, for your little B-wing, you can't pack a main reactor. You have to bring batteries (bombs), and you'll need a lot of them. Once you start discharging, you'll introduce parallel currents in any adjacent conductors. Your entire ship is pretty much one parallel conductor.

You could mount one on a Star Destroyer though...
>>
>>51699087
>>51698980

Also since like 2001-2, whichever year AotC came out, there's been a smaller version mounted on an airspeeder.

Cool, then the issue is more or less sorted.

You can't build production models because you need batteries, and batteries are bombs if they contain enough energy. You can't store them in a carrier, you need to repair them after every fight because parallel currents fuck up everything, and they can't dogfight or duel without exploding.

So, the game distinguishes between Attachments and Modifications.

Attachments are the only things that cost hard points, and can be installed without a roll. Modifications are further additions to Attachments, providing additional benefits, but each new Modification requires an ever-increasing-in-difficulty roll. However, Modifications do not take up any extra hard points.

The submods cost no hardpoints, just credits and an increasing mechanics check. The mod costs the listed amount of hard points.

I mean, I've had no problem beating it when I've faced it so far.
All you'd really need is four TIE Advanced with X1 upgrade and Accuracy corrector

It'll look like this:
Turn 1 (or whenever you get in range): attack VCX from the side. One TIE lobs an ion pulse missile at it. Accuracy Correct that for a hit. Then the other TIEs attack. They accuracy correct their shots for hits.
Defend as necessary.
Damage this round: 7
Turn 2: VCX is drifting. Follow it (being sure to stay out of primary and auxiliary firing arcs) and all TIEs Accuracy Correct
Damage this round: 8

Fire again next turn with a TIE for kill

Sup /swg/, I have a question.

I really like the elite paint schemes that some squads have in X-wing. I mean Gamma Squadron veterans, Royal Guards, Glaive Squadrons, etc.

I've started giving similar paint schemes to all of my ships, and I had a question.

Were there any famous squadrons of TIE Advanced or TIE Advanced Prototypes? I'd do a Royal Guard scheme, but I just did a pair of Royal Guard Strikers, so i'd prefer to avoid the red. Also, painting First Order white is a massive pain in the ass, so I'd like to not do a black/white scheme.

TLDR- are there any 'elite squadrons' with distinct paint schemes that flew TIE Advanced or TIE Advanced Prototypes?

>TIE Advanced Prototypes
Prototype pilots aren't generally supposed to be anywhere near the front line, especially in a military as big and well-stocked as the Empire. Proven, disposable, mass-produced TIE/LNs are meant for the front lines, not the highly expensive, highly limited testbeds which still likely have plenty of kinks to work out before being declared field-worthy.

>TIE Advanced
Too rare. In Legends, Vader's Advanced was considered a prototype and never made it into military-scale mass production. Its design was instead used as the basis for Interceptors, Bombers, Avengers, and Defenders. The Wook's canon page also still lists the classic Advanced as a prototype.
>>
>>51701106
so there are no cool alternative paint schemes that would be in-universe? (on the other hand, I made Saber Squadron Punishers and Royal Guard Strikers, so not like I'm super accurate)

In that case, what do you think of black plating with red solar panels (Probably green lasers too)
>>
>>51700987

Nah, the original Advanced is a testbed, very few would have been made.

The TAP is an actual prototype - it looks like Seinar did at least one production run out of Lothal, but all of those were used as display pieces or distributed to Inquisitors it looks like. I don't think they were ever deployed in squadron force.
>>
>>51700987
Unfortunately like >>51701106 said, the ship wasn't in common use.
That being said, the canon is in fact inconsistent about how often it was used. Despite a lot of sources treating Vader's as an experimental prototype (possibly the only one of its kind), X-Wing minis has established Tempest Squadron and Black Eight Squadron, and then there's Storm Squadron from Bestine city on Tatooine (equivalent of the middle of nowhere) being equipped with them (p.s. did Galaxies ever say that Storm Squadron had TIE Advanced's?). Other sources have also shown x1's being used sparingly, so perhaps there were other prototypes around
Unfortunately for you, none of them have different paint schemes. I guess a safe alternative would be 181st stripes (it wouldn't be entirely impossible that the 181st could get their hands on some prototypes).

So wave 7-

The Kihraxz- It's an X-wing, but with an elite generic, a 1 point discount, and an Illicit instead of astromech slot. It's got all of the same problems as the X-wing, but it doesn't have pilots like Biggs, Wes or Wedge to prop it up. Sometimes known as the Crack Shot Expansion pack, as it comes with the card.

YV-666, AKA the Party Bus. This thing has 3 crew slots, and a 180 degree firing arc. due to scum crew being combined strangely (4-lom, Zuckuss, and Dengar/K4, as an example, this thing can be outfitted to absolutely eat aces alive. Not super maneuverable, although it is pretty fast.

G-1A- This is a Scum B-wing. It gave us the 4-lom and Zuckuss crew cards, which is what it is mostly remembered for. However, it does have a PS 5 elite generic, so it can be made into a very effective jousting list with Mindlink.

JumpMaster 5000- Fuck this thing. It ruined the meta, twice. First, when it was released, it came with another ordinance fix. People at first thought "oh, ordinance is good again". Then, after a week, we needed to get the Torpedo Genie to go back into the bottle. This fucker single-handedly pushed rebels out of the meta, and many types of empire lists as well. Three of these fuckers, or 2 of them and a 34 point Party Bus were scourge of the meta for months. Then, FFG released 2 separate errattas to nerf them, and they are still a viable/regional-placing list. Then, Dengaroo popped up. This list is a mean boss fight that has been described as "Like you are playing against a blue MTG deck". it's a big bitch to play against, and *the* bully list. It won the last worlds. it also heavily abuses the Zuckuss crew card. Basically, FFG was stupid when they released a cheap large base turret ship with a dial that good (White Sloop, albeit only to one side), and astro, EPT, Crew, Illicit, and 2 torp slots. Lately, Manaroo has found her home, turning even the shittiest lists great with Mindlink. Fuck Jumpmasters.

Wave 9/10 next.

In wave 9, the small ship was the Protectorate. It's sortof like a Scum Interceptor, but with some odd abilities. It's got Not-Carnor-Jax, but it also has Fenn Rau, a PS9 ace with a powerful ability that makes him invincible at range 1. The protectorate can't evade, has almost the exact same dial as the Interceptor (4 straight is white instead of green, instead of 3 and 5k, a 4k and 2 Talon-Roll), has 4 hull, and can target lock. It has a title that when jousting in-arc at range 1, they get an automatic evade. They have an EPT (scum only) that adds a hit when jousting at range 1. It's a really agressive interceptor.

The Lancer Pursuit Craft- A large base ship with a firing arc that can be rotated as an action. This thing is usually flown by Asajj, and is amazing at stress control and damage mitigation. It has 3 hards that are green, and is the fastest ship in the game. it's a very powerful ship, and late game with Asajj, PTL, and Latts crew, is insanely hard to kill.

Wave 10- The Quadjumper. It's a tugboat, the one that gets blown up in TFA when rey and finn think of stealing it. it's only been out for a week, but I've heard it is really strong. it has backwards moves on its dial, it has Action:give a ship at r1 in arc a tractor beam token, and decent upgrade slots.

So wait, does Latts Razzi only apply once per combat?
If not, can't she be used to feed off of Dengaroo stress for guranteed evades?
>>
>>51702055
Basically Royal Guard wings with a black body
But like everyone else said, do your own thing if you want.
You could experiment with symbology if you like miniature decals. Don't know where you'd put em on the mini though
>>
>>51702220
Latts can use her effect every time she rolls defense dice.

So against Dengaroo, Latts+evade token is 2 assured evades.
>>
>>51702296
I've got some old necron transfer sheets, but IDK what I could do with those.
>>
>>51702623
Her card says "when defending"
What I want to know is if Dengaroo w/ Zuckuss gave the ship like six stresses over a game, can Latts use, say, three in a single defense roll to add the relevant evades (making the dice roll irrelevant, and possibly making the Lancer-class immortal in that case)
>>
>>51702678
One per defense roll.

With Asajj giving the stress though and PTL, Focus+Evade+Stress is 2 evades minimum, 4 maximum, and 3.25 average, on a 10 health ship that is fast as fuck.

So the /r/starwarsspeculation subreddit is abuzz right now. Someone got their hands on the last Wendig Aftermath novel almost two weeks ahead of time and are posting some spoilers leading into the Sequel Trilogy.

The SSD Eclipse makes a comeback.

We're teased with Palpatine having an ancient star map from a precursor civilization leading outside the known galaxy.Rakata tech?

This stuff was kept in an "Observatory" on Jakku, and part of Palpatine's final "Contingency." This getting good.

>>
>>51703166
Oh god! I was wrong! It was Earth all along!
You've finally made a monkey out of meeeeeeeee!
>>
>>51703166
It's not gonna lead to Earth. It's going to lead to Snoke and the founding of the First Order from the ashes of the Galactic Empire. Half of the following is speculation, half is from the book:

Jakku and the Observatory are likely a necessary path into the Unknown Regions, where the ancients (Rakata? Ancient Sith? Dunno yet) used to consolidate their power in isolation away from the galaxy.

As part of carrying out Palpatine's Contingency, Gallux Rax collects the remnants of the Empire and leads them to Jakku for a final battle, after which the Empire will be assumed destroyed. But instead, they used the ancient navigational tech in the Observatory to escape to the Unknown Regions.

Everything else happening on Jakku (Tekka's Church of the Force, Rey being there) isn't a coincidence. Those who tried to get through to the Unknown Regions from Jakku without the Observatory were destroyed and never heard from again. Rey was likely left there "temporarily" while her family desperately tried to get through, only to die in the attempt. That's just my assumption.

It would be funny as fuck if KH3's inevitable Star Wars-themed content section turned out to be a playable retelling of Jedi Prince.
>>
So I got a core box and some Imperials and I'm ready to play X-wing.

But my question - I'm not too familiar with the Royal Guard but why do they have their own red painted tie interceptors? The Secret Service doesn't have black F-22s, they leave that to other organizations.

Well I'm gonna be honest with you, Scum has only one actually viable type of list and they all just abuse the jumpmaster.

That ship was so ridiculously broken that I think they intentionally didn't play test it so scum could finally chalk up a W in a major tournament.
They could nerf it a 3rd time and it still wont matter until they can take care of Manaroo.
>>
>>51709568

And they won't take care of manaroo because nobody runs support ships which aren't unlimited range.
>>
>>51709568
>only one actually viable type of list

Original anon was asking about casual play, he wasn't trying to win tournaments.
>>
>>51709593
If they realized this why the fuck did they make Ahsoka's ability range 1 only?

Question: In the FFG Star Wars RPG; Exactly how much Clone Wars era vehicles and equipment or vehicles and equipment that would make sense to have been in the clone wars have been statted in official sources? So fan-made stats don't count, I'm talking stats out of core books, source books, and adventure modules?

>I know the B1 has stats in EotE core,
>the IG-100 MagnaGuard is statted in F&D core,
>the Droid Commandos and Droidikas are statted in Chronicles of the Gatekeeper,
>the tactical Droid is statted in both the Lead by Example source and the adventure module included with the AoR GM Screen,
>The AT-TE and LAAT are both in the Forged in Fire source book,
>The Consular class, and Dreadnought class are in the AoR core.
>The Victory class is in both the AoR and F&D core,
>The Munificent class is in Lead by Example,
>the Y-wing is in ALL the core books,
>The Z-95 is in the EotE core
>the V-Wing is in Stay on Target,
>The Delta-7 is in the F&D core,
... Am I missing any?
>>
>>51709805

I really want to stat up a Recusant becuase I fucking love that thing, but I cant think of a reasonable excuse for my players to encounter one.
>>
>>51709805
The Hutt HH-8 Starhopper and a few things like it are in Lords of Nal Hutta, as is Jabba's Minstrel class star yacht which according to the Plageus Novel predates Naboo.

There's the Starchaser in the ace book too.
>>
>>51709696

Ahsoka's new, I don't know if people are running her.

But technically, she has other methods to work - with VI and the Mod she's very hard to target by a lot of ships which means she can safely run close-quarters support. But Palp, Sabine and Manaroo see so much play because they just work all the time - no additional tricks required.
>>
Does anyone has new species stats from new bounty hunter book.
>>
Can anyone recommend me some Legends eu novels about criminals and smugglers and stuff?
Assuming there are any, at least.

I want to get into the feel for my upcoming game.
