Saber CYOA anon here. I wanted to ask something since I'm adding the finishing touches.

I added an alignment chart bit using the standard lawful-chaotic and good-evil bits, but then I also added a personality trait part. Would you consider this to be redundant? Obviously personality traits are more specific, but at the same time I feel that it overlaps quite a bit. I'm adding the finishing touches and it'l probably be out next thread so I wanted to ask if I should just scrap the personality traits section and leave alignment as the sole deciding factor for personality.

Obviously, this only applies if you choose to make a saber rather than become one.

Custom enchanted and bred seeds that will grow in fabulous Trees. Trees that tap aquifers and give fresh filtered water, whose branches hang heavy with the fruit of youth, and which sprout nymph and druid teachers and guardians from their roots.
As they grow they will connect across the land, forming easy roads with friendly guides and canal ways for trade and travel. In time other wizards may add to the seeds, and specialized trees be built, but for the beginning, the goal is a world of plenty.
Plenty of Food, Shelter, and Friendly Fey.

Also as a note to any slayers or destructive wizards, life/immortality does not require the death of others, wizard or not. Any life wizard with enchanting can grant youth and additional lifespan, and my plan in particular will leave trees that grow a literal fruit of life and youth for anyone to eat.

At base, with just my efforts and talents, my Trees will still be incredible things. Sources of fresh water and varied nutrition to keep at least two people alive per tree, if not entire families healthy and hale. They will also prove to be ready sources of many plant based resources, textiles, medicines, and the like. Every tree will birth a Dryad to both tend it, and be a sort of intermediary between the humans living in/around the tree and the Tree itself. With a little coaxing the Tree will easily birth Nymphs/Satyrs for companionship and service/domestic labor, or Minotaurs and Sprites for defense. Lastly, every Tree shall of course spawn the fruit of life whenever it saves up a year of youth, granting it to whomever eats it.
The Fae will be loyal to the Humans that live around/within it to their Tree, to the Tree itself, and to Humanity in general, in that order.

Besides the simple and needed addition of making the Trees themselves fire resistant/immune, a good Fire Wizard can add much of value. Twigs that work as matches, combustible pinecones, Sap hardened into focusing crystals for lasers and flashlights with the natural bioluminescence. A hearth in every tree that easily burns hot enough to boil water or work metals, allowing industry an easy start.

Sources of cold are just as useful as sources of heat, and water magic would help be sure that the fresh water is truly purified. Blood might be able to help guide the healing fruit, but the main resource here is fruits that grant temporary water breathing, and the possibility of aquatic Trees in general, with Friendly Naiad tenders and mermaid guardians.

Life Wizard with Healing, Plant, and Enchanting specialties. I'll find a place where there are bound to be lots of ghosts, like a battlefield or an old hospital, and offer ghosts I meet the chance to have a body again if they will serve me, though I will prioritize those with blacksmithing skils. I'll supplement my growing force of body-possessing ghosts with animated bodies from graveyards and bodyless ghosts who I can use for scouting. My forces will establish a fortified base in an isolated region, and I will drill them in combat with shield, spear and bow while mounted and on foot. Once I have a sizable force, I will begin attacking small wizardless settlements, softening them up with a major plague and then attacking them in force. I would then bring back those who would serve me as ghosts, and simply reanimate the bodies of the rest, leaving only beautiful women alive to serve me as consorts. When my ghost scouts encounter a wizard, I will attempt to kill them through disease, so that they are dead or seriously weakened before I send in my forces. My goal is to create a small independant state, where myself and the many children I have can rule over a legion of undead.

My main problems will be other death mages and life mages. A single life mage in a group of wizards will ruin my plan for disease attack, so I will attempt to deal with overwhelming force. I'll have to avoid them for quite a while, but I shouldn't have too much trouble with them after a few decades of army building. He mellowed once Enkidu died in the original legend, which is hinted to have already happened to FSN Gilgamesh. His bond with Enkidu is why he refuses Alexander's suggestion to conquer the world together.

It's most likely a combination of different times have different values, and Gilgamesh just having no one he respects nearby. He's perfectly civilized near Alexander, the only person he remotely acknowledges. Or maybe Angry Manjew's goo made him worse between Zero and FSN

My plan would be to use the satellite as my base, the shelter tunnels as my safe travel method. The girl helps me with early PVE and the witch doctor heals me and gives me a purpose to hunt.

I kill seagulls whenever possible to befriend the small rats that will hopefully let me befriend the larger ones too.

Finally I use my equipment of fortify my satellite station while I raise a dragon, hunt for nazi loot, find a fountain of youth and reunite the human tribes under my command.

Eventually i find the fountain of youth and rule over the human population with my wyvern as a benevolent overlord until the island is conquered and contact with the rest of the world(humanity) is made.

Noble Phantasms are just special weapons/abilities that correspond to the most famous part of a servant's legends. King Arthur/Saber has Excalibur, for example. The first section only dictates the amount of points you spend on the section.

The ranks you pick in the second dictate the actual power. For examples of strength, a B-rank NP in canon had one Servant actually being 40 different Servants that were manifestations of his different skills. An EX-rank NP example includes the retroactive addition of all weapons made by humans into a treasury, including other NPs. Modifiers are just temporary boosts in strength when you need them. Forms are how the NPs take shape: Excalibur is a weapon, the 40-Servants thing would be an ability. Classifications are what the NPs were intended for (but not limitations as to what they can actually target). Single enemies, groups, armies, etc.

In conclusion, my feedback.

Fun CYOA, would love to see it with pictures.
There's room for adjustments though.

As evidenced in my builds, I hardly ever found any options awarding Pedigree to be compelling in and of themselves (beyond the fact that they award pedigree points, I mean). Some in fact were the opposite (say, dressing in primitive rags, which I'm not even sure how it results in better offspring).

Other than that, my only criticism would be that most companions (bonds) are, to me, very unappealing.
Aside from bodyguards, fertility shamans, and a retinue (which are good but impersonal), what we have to choose from is basically: a big rapey spider, a yandere magical girl, a mad plastic surgeon wizard, an abusing kidnapper, some dude with a remarkable genetic make up, an eldricht tentacle monster, Navi and Tatl, a non-specific mean to improve pedigree (which may not even be a person) and, thankfully a second bride.

There's a distinct lack of good female canfifates for procreation (ones that don't have drawbacks like being possessive and with the skills to achieve their goal).
The sprites are nice and cheap, but the second bride was to me the one saving grace to this section which greatly elevated the level of the CYOA as a whole, having turned it from being just a "remake and customize yourself as a demi-god" to "also your waifu!"
This was made even better by the various breeding options, specifically Subversion, since I can retain the CYOA's emphasis on being fruitful for the waifu too without having her sexing half the galaxy.

So yeah, to me these two things (Bonded Bride and Subversion) are what ultimately made this really work. Very ingenious, kudos on those.

The actual rank of your Noble Phantasm(s) is selected in this section. Notice above the modifiers it has costs for the ranks. You could have a an A+++ Anti-Unit Technique (10 for the A-Rank and 15 for the +3 modifier). Or as some servants have multiple phantasm split them up. Like 2 A-Ranks, 2 D-Ranks, and an E-Rank.
