Forth for battlesuits. I just wanted to make a list with as many mechs as possible. I know how maligned Riptides are but still. If anyone has suggestions with how to outfit the XV8s or if I should add more and remove warriors, I'm happy to hear it.

There is absolutely nothing exception about the Ork race.

They have no prophecies, they have no long missing super warriors that could return, they have no plan to bring their gods into the world (assuming their gods even exist in the fluff anymore).

They are so unbelievable bland and this is why they fail on the table top.

for me is that they don't feel pain. or rather, they barely feel pain (the lore is conflicting, because somehow they can continue fighting when cleft in twain, but also say "ow" when they punch each other in arguments) yet they're painted as some kind of brave warrior race. fighting recklessly aint really all that impressive when there aren't any real consequences to injury.

Warhost of Ynnead definitely looks like it needs an errata. "You may select one additional unit to make a Soulburst action", as written could mean that anytime ANY unit is destroyed, you get an additional unit to trigger Soulburst, regardless of distance to the unit being destroyed.

So destroying an enemy unit Soulbursts a unit nearby it, as well as another unit regardless of distance. Soulburst shooting can trigger consecutive Soulburst shooting, so 1 Jetbike unit pops a rhino becomes 2 Jetbike units popping Rhinos becomes 4...

The main saving grace I'm seeing is that they don't get Obsec, but still, Phil be based.

Against even AV13, each missileside has a 50% chance to glance versus the 25% chance of glance or pen from a railside (and only 8% chance of explodes!)
If you put them in a Firebase Support Cadre, give them Early Warning Override to complement the Riptide and stick the Velocity Trackers on the Ghostkeels instead.

Not particularly a fan of Tutelaries. It still has the same issue that it emphasizes psyker powers as "a few big powers" rather than "lots of small witchfires."

I'm torn on "may take the Invul alongside the save", just because it can stack with save re-rolls. Stacking it with Favored of Tzeentch especially would be super-annoying. Honestly, I'm ok with 1k Sons being a "glass cannon" that happens to be slightly more resilient to stuff like Grav/etc.

I would recommend giving the Rubric Sorcerer a Bolter, so the unit has 5 instead. Personally, I prefer Warpflame weapons to be +1 Strength instead of -1 AP (AP 4 means very little, while +1 Strength is useful against most things) but YMMV.

War Coven's change is nice and simple.

I feel like making the cores/auxiliaries identical to the other Legion detachments is bland/boring. The Warband might be better as an Auxiliary.

Finally started working on the fluff for my Minotaurs Leviathan Dreadnought

For those who aren't aware, Leviathans are generally quite insane.

His name is Kerberos the three-faced, due to the three personalities he shows.

His first is the calm mentor, often ignored by the Legion due to their nature. Though he will offer advice for those who will listen.

The second is a wild beserker, which if his behaviour was seen by an inquisitor, there would be a chance of being put down in his brutality. This personality is generally the one that comes out in the battlefield, but he is never provided weapons on board the fleet when he is awoken just in case

The third personality is where he claims to be Asterion Moloc himself, providing tactical genius and skill in close combat. This is generally laughed off as insanity, coming out because of how long he has fought underneath Asterion's command.
though darker rumours still follow the story that Asterion Moloc has actually been many Astartes, just being replaced when he dies, and that one of these previous Asterion's were interred in the Dreadnoughts shell.

Mysterious or super gay, advice plz.

If you read about Asterion, apart of his fluff is that he has died multiple times, and other Astartes are chosen to become Asterion in their place, possibility even having Asterion's original personality forced in to them through Hypno therapy etc.

You're totally right about my Blessing of Tzeentch and re-rolls. I'll include a "can't be taken if the save was re-rolled clause." I changed Favored of Tzeentch so that it's no longer re-rolls of any kind, and the point-investment to get to it is still pretty harsh.

Aspiring Sorcerers haven't and still don't have a Bolter, and I prefer to keep things WYSIWYG if possible. I'm not really happy with my version of Warpflamers either, but I wanted to make as few changes as possible. Ultimately, I think the current Warpflamers are workable, just massively overpriced.

Making the MoTz a 5++ with my Blessing of Tzeentch rule would infringe too much on FNP, in my opinion. I toyed with the idea of giving non-psykers the ability to buy ML1, but I discarded it due to being a really far-reaching change that wasn't really in line with my design-goals.

I find it really awkward that every other legion DoF uses the same line-up of formations except for Thousand Sons. Not including them leaves the "not actually Thousand Sons Tzeentch marines" players in an awkward situation of not having a DoF to call their own.
