ADmittedly, Nemesor And Vargaurd Obyron would be the only two necron models Id actually buy and deal with in finecast. But for Orikan, you could mix together some parts from a Preatorian and warrior onto a Cryptek body, Warriors open hand arm to grasp the staff and clip the legs to bend, use the spines from the praetorians to make the tail and use a deathmark head and do some carving. Orikans normal model has a lot more stuff on it though so, I just hope he doesnt come with his arms already on his model...

If you want models on the cheap then see if you can find the Death masque sprues on Ebay, or find a friend to split the box with. It's how I kept costs down. You're SOL if you want Shadowseers/Solitaires though.

The optimum way is probably to not take many Harlequins at all. Honestly just play what you like. The Starweaver is a fine transport, though. Stuffing clowns in Raiders isn't worth the time.

Yeah, the game is good, especially if you like Total War. The reason why you see it rated so negatively on Steam though is because most of the races are locked behind fucking paywalls. Mark my words, Dawn of War 3 will end up being pretty good but since there's going to be a barebones army selection at launch it will catch a ton of flak. I like supporting vidya developers that make fun games but you and me are probably better off just pirating digital 40k stuff.

It's worth it for the $12, just be warned that greenskins, vampire counts, dwarves, and empire are the only playable factions with just the core game. There are a few free dlcs that add heros and brettonians come out for free later this month. Also, the bundle seems to imply that the dlc might be given out as well later in the month. As for mods, you MUST get Conquer Anywhere & Diplomatic Options and Defensive Wood Elves to get around some serious flaws.

i was reading the farsight supplement and it explains how farsight using the dawn blade managed to develop his own style of close combat within a battlesuit, (hence his BS of 5) and it got me thinking that it would be awesome if there was a crisis suit option or some other design of suit similar size to crisis suit that could take close combat weapons and forego ranged ability in order to be taus only effective melee unit.

fluff wise it makes sense to say that they learnt from commander farsight the art of battlesuit combat or something, and functionally it makes sense because even melee armies have shooty units so it would make sense for a shooty army to have even a single melee unit. it would also break up some monotony regarding constant shooting rolls and give tau something to do in the assault phase other than using jetpacks.

So I have 1 Kataphron unit from the Eradication Cohort right now.
Should I put them together as Breachers or Destroyers? Obviously expanding to a War Convocation at some point but also planning to use them before that.

12 AP2 S9 T7 Ordnance, twin linked rapier laser batteries. I don't think there's an amount of armor on the board that can survive this at my point level aside from massed flyers which is honestly what I think I'll have the most problems with.

Remove the heavy flamers on the wyverns and set them up as single model units. You have 4/5 (don't remember) elite slots. Use them.

Remove the autocannon team from the RCS, reduce the zombie squads to 15 models, remove the Chaos Space marines, and remove the Quad gun.

Use these points to exchange the Sorcerer for an ML3 Daemon Prince of Nurgle with wings, a squad of 10 cultists to fit the required troop choice, and invest more points into the Heralds of Tzeentch to up their warp charges.

Yes. FoC continued the story from the 13th Black Crusade campaign that was done years ago so Abbaddon unleashed his crusade and managed to win the land war while Cadians were forced to make a last stand in the remaining Hive City, the Imperium won the orbital war and reinforcements arrived to help the Cadians. Belisarus Cawl decided to use the Pylons in a last ditch effort agaisnt Abbaddon and it worked as the Eye shrunk for a while and Abby was forced to teleport his forces away from Cadia but the Pylons exploded due to the strain and the Eye is now expanding, after the pylons blew Abbaddon rammed his Blackstone Fortress, that was already crippled by the Phalanx, into Cadia thus exploding the planet.

So you have cadia engulfed by the eye, but cadian forces themselves still galaxy-wide. Biel-tan fracturing and the ynnead eldar coming into existence, but the regular craftworlders and commorrites digging in their heels because they think they're crazy. I imagine whatever they do with the Fallen will still allow for loyal dark angels in green, and chaosy dark angels in black.

But who knows.

I did it /tg/ I out WAAC'D an eldar player. Last week I posted here asking how I could break the game with celestine. Well I did it, I used her with a knight crusader and trucked dozens of Lance shots in the name of the emperor. He fielded scatter bikes, wraith knight, wraith guard with D spam, all of it crashed on my forces, and with the emperors will my dice rolled true. Today I tasted the sweet salt of eldar tears via text msg and replied with ATSKNF quotation, needless to say my friends sourness knows no bounds. We played 2k for that game, will probably be 2k for the next game. He ended up destroying the crusader on the last turn with a wraith lord in combat. And all day I've been getting texts about deep striking fire dragons etc so he's gonna be gunnng for it if I field it again. Gathering Storm 1.

Combines all Imperial factions.

Compulsory are 2 HQs and 4 Troops, from any Imperial codex, with unlimited troop slots and 6 slots for everything else. HQs are all generic HQs and all non-SM unique HQs except for Black Templars.

Special Rules let you re-roll your trait, gives you Hatred on everything (Zealot if you fill every unit slot) and, most importantly, makes your troop units respawn if you roll a 5+ when they get destroyed.

Note that the Transport respawn independently since they're separate units, meaning your Templars will have to walk once they die but on the other hand your transport won't have to wait for the infantry to bite the dust to come back. It's pretty disgusting with the new Coteaz that gives all infantry ObSec and he's a choice for the detachment.

Also take a look at the Ecchlesiarchy Relics in the book. You can take them in there and they have a few rather nice ones, most notably the power sword and pistol and the buffed Iron Halo if he is going to bring Deep Strike units.

You can't, but you need to take between 2-4 HQs. It's a huge list to choose from so you could field something like Helbrecht + Coteaz + Chaplain and give the Chaplain one of the relics.

Coteaz + respawning Tempestus Scions is hilarious, however, since the unit goes into ongoing reserves and can deep strike again.

I need some pointers on what is meant to supplement what when it comes to some of the Dark angel detachments, such as with attack squadrons or the ravenwing support squadron.

Why not try running a dark artisan and give the haemonculi the armour of misery making all units within 6 have -3 leadership.

Then maybe... phantasm grenades? Tau don't but do eldar have easy access to fearless?

Yea I was kinda choked that I needed other armies to run those formations and that it referenced other books I don't own for rules.
