「The World's Address」

Power: E
Speed: E
Range: A
Durability: A
Precision: E
Learning: B

When the user uses the stand to write a location on an item, and when he clicks the pen, the object is teleported to that location. Multiple teleports can be queued up and executed with rapid clicks.
It works on humans and living creatures as well as inanimate objects, but obviously here the drawback is the user needing time to write.
The more specific the written target, the more likely the teleport will work exactly as intended. Say you wrote "Into John" on a grenade and clicked the pen (as the most obvious combat utility), you can see where it might go wrong. The user must take the time to write "Into Johnny Joestar the champion jockey's stomach" then click the pen to guarantee success.

Representative of the Fool arcana, 「The Stand」 is a lackluster punchghost with three major abilities.
It is capable for pausing time for a near-indefinite amount of time, although its user is not immune to this, and it can only pause for as long as its user can hold their breath.
It has the power to swap the positions and contents of anything the user 「possesses」, even during paused time.
It can also supplement its user's senses with its own, useful because of its stand user Nameless Hobo, who is mute and near-blind.

Appearance: Punchghost that looks like a cross between The World and Harry Enfield.

Abilities: Lodsamoney derives its power from the amount of currency that the user is holding currently, becoming absurdly powerful if the user is carrying a sufficient amount of wealth.
Lodsamoney can also imbue valuable objects (>=$100) with its power to increase its durability and rigidity. Its main use of this power is to whip $100 bills at people rapidly while shouting "Moolah Moolah Moolah!"
If Lodsamoney is running low on dosh, it can place its hands on an object and "liquidate" it, transforming it into an amount of 100$ bills equal to its current market value. (Rounded down)

Honestly, all of the stuff about "power based on amount held" and "increasing durability of valuable objects" isn't very good, thematically or balance wise.
Liquidate could be really interesting, especially if the "$100 bill" condition was removed.

Yellow Submarine has the power to travel into these "edges" Where it may look like it hides behind people and objects, it is in fact hiding in these "edges" and can travel to other edges that are connected. Likewise, the Stand's user can cling into Yellow Submarine and travel into the "edges" as well.

「No One Nose」

Power: C
Speed: B
Range: B
Durability: B
Precision: C
Learning: C

This stand manifests as a tall and lanky humanoid with green skin, a comically large and stubby nose, and nostrils on its fingertips. It wears otherwise mundane clothing: jeans, sneakers, a shirt a few sizes too large, and a knitted cap.

「No One Nose」can manage alright in hand to hand combat, but its true power is its remarkable sense of smell. The nostrils in the stand's fingers have a range of miles in good conditions, and if they catch an object's scent it's child's play for the stand to track it.

The primary nose has an even more bizarre ability. Its sense of smell is displaced a few seconds into the future. By identifying odors such as gun smoke or perspiration it can warn the user of imminent danger, in addition to whatever other uses a precognitive sense of smell can be put to.

「Six Shooter」 is a cowboy with a six-chambered revolver and an incredibly simple power. Although it's not much use in a fistfight, the bullets in its gun deal 'infinite damage'. Anything which could, at least in theory, be destroyed by applying enough mundane force to it will be utterly atomized by a shot from 「Six Shooter」

However, true to its namesake, 「Six Shooter」only has six shots. Even worse, the user's already spent two two figuring out how the power works and wasted another trying to shoot a target that couldn't be defeated by conventional means. Hopefully the last three will be put to better use.

Two new unstatted stands I have planned for a campaign I really need to get around to actually making.

>「Jukebox Hero」

「Jukebox Hero」 is a stand bound to an old antique jukebox. The jukebox colors are faded and is covered in a thin layer of dust. On the side of 「Jukebox Hero」 is a relatively newish looking guitar. The stand isn't as old as it appears however, as the jukebox, the dust, and the guitar are all part of the Stand.

「Jukebox Hero」 itself is the jukebox. It can turn it's needle arm into a mechanical arm that can reach outside of the jukebox, though it's reach is about average human arm length. If it gets a hold of something, it can pull someone inside of it, appearing to crush them, although the victim is simply turned into an old record, which is then stored inside 「Jukebox Hero」. The stand user himself can choose to play someone's record prison, which causes 「Jukebox Hero」 to open up and spit the person out of it, whole and unharmed. Victims have no memory between the time they're pulled into 「Jukebox Hero」 and the time they're ejected, if ever. 「Jukebox Hero」 can move very slowly, but spends most of the time sitting on top of a trap door it's guarding, only moving at it's user's command.

The layer of dust on 「Jukebox Hero」 are actually tiny dust mites. If someone makes contact with the dust, it alerts 「Jukebox Hero」 to their presence. 「Jukebox Hero」 is intelligent enough to tell if someone triggered it by accident or not. If it was an accident or without ill intentions, it stays dormant, calling the dust mites back to it when the person isn't looking. If it was, the dust mites can drag someone around, with more force the more dust mites are on them. Typically, they pull the target into grabbing range of 「Jukebox Hero」's hand.

The guitar is a part of the stand as well, but doesn't have any special abilities of it's own. 「Jukebox Hero」 mostly just uses it as a club as a last resort.

「Metaphorical Music」

Power: E
Speed: D
Range: B
Durability: A
Precision: B
Potential: A

Metaphorical Music manifests itself in the form of music written by the user, and multiple songs can be prepared or activated at once. The song's title describes the effect, with the song itself being written in a fitting style. The potency of the effect can can be changed with the length of the song, an effect that is impossible would require an impossibly long song to achieve while an ordinary occurrence would work with a short jingle. The effect can be offensive with titles like Spontaneous Combustion or Death. They can control a targets actions with titles like Kill (Person's Name) or Pick Nose. I'm not sure how far the possible effects should go, although things like giving people stands is definitely impossible.

A target is chosen upon contact with the song's sheet music, parameters can be set to decrease the risk of unwanted targets being chosen (Targets do not have to be living, however nonliving targets require much longer songs). Once a target is chosen the notes transfer onto the target's body and begin to play until completion. The song can only be heard by the target and increases in volume the closer they are to the user. Upon completion the title's effect occurs.

Targets have three ways of preventing the song from being completed.
1. Increase distance from the user until the song can no longer be heard
2. Touch the user for 4 measures of the song, If the user is being touched while the song ends the effect will not occur.
3. Have the user lose consciousness or die

Once the effect activates it has three ways of ending
1. Reaching its natural conclusion
2. Target or user dies
3. User cancels the effect, which can be done remotely

>「Terror Time」

「Terror Time」 takes on the appearance of a small humanoid fungus, about 3 feet high. It has a cruel attitude and is intelligent enough to act separately from it's user, and even argue with him.

「Terror Time」's power is the ability to release spores from it's mushroom head. Spores that make contact with a human or Stand infect it, causing a small mushroom to grow on the point of contact. The mushroom itself is a stand, so non-stand users typically aren't even aware they're infected, aside from an itching sensation in the spot the mushroom is growing on their body. The mushroom feeds off of the host, appearing to an outside observer as an incurable deadly virus.

「Terror Time」 is capable of automating corpses of people who died while infected, within a range of about 3-4 miles. The zombies themselves aren't especially durable, but 「Terror Time」 can make plenty in a short amount of time, and can simply overwhelm most opponents with sheer numbers.

「Terror Time」 is also capable of functioning without it's user even being alive which he takes advantage of to kill his user for not using his powers to their full potential. He then hides inside his user's corpse like a meat armor of some sort.

Killing or disabling 「Terror Time」 also "shuts off" any zombies he has active, although if he's simply disabled, he can simply just start controlling them again once he's back up.

I'm debating whether or not I should play the stand like that, or have a reveal that it's another "attacks you in your dream" stand, and it just particularly enjoys tormenting it's targets with fungus zombies.

I'm impressed the user managed to figure out exactly what their stand did in 2 shots. It also seems a little rough that they only have 3 remaining. Maybe if the user could restock a bullet at the cost of undoing the damage, effectively bringing the object that was hit back into reality. It could work like a bounty hunter capturing someone and bringing them in, or causing someone to end up in a very lethal situation upon reappearing. The stand is your idea though so I understand if you want to keep it as is.

>>51351631
Simple and strong, I like it.

>>51352314
Pretty funny but it doesn't seem to have much of an effect other than distracting a target, I may just not be creative enough. It would be entertaining to have someone try attacking you while you tell them there are 12 bricks over and over and over again.

Depending on how many spores are produced and how quickly the mushroom grows and effects its target that could be an insanely dangerous stand.

「View To A Kill」
Power: E
Speed: E
Range: A
Durability: A
Precision: A
Potential: C
View To A Kill is manifested as a pair of binoculars. The stand's user can look through them as they would a mundane pair, however if they can imagine a plausible situation in which a living thing being viewed through them should die, it will happen. For instance, the user is watching someone cross the road through 「View To A Kill」, and imagines that they're fatally hit by a car. This is a plausible death for the situation, and it happens. What would not constitute plausible is say, someone being viewed in the highest floor of the empire state building being hit by a train. If someone were to have certain health conditions that the user was aware of that could result in sudden death (such as frequent strokes), that could be used as well.

Mariner's Revenge is the Stand of an angry, scarred, giant whale which distrusts ships due to gathered wounds from whalers in its territory. It can not manifest outside of its host's body, but actively senses nearby sailors and sea vessels to lead its host towards.

When its host approaches a target, Mariner's Revenge causes the weather to rapidly change to a storm in order to make escape difficult, if not impossible.

Anyone who survives the wreck and is unfortunate enough to end up inside of the whale can see the Stand, which takes on the form of the person most likely to seek revenge against that person, recounting the various wrongdoings in that person's life before attempting to murder them.

Whenever it stores an affliction parasite infested sores grow on on knuckles. And when it punches another person the parasites from the sores worm their way into the second target and from within cause the very same affliction to them. It even works through stands though to a less effective ends

This is the stand my character had in a short-lived Part 5 inspired campaign.
>「SMASH MOUTH」
Smash Mouth is a defensive melee stand which appears as a colorful, 2 meters tall carnivorous plant with an enormous, durable jaw.

>Fighting style
When an opponent touches Smash Mouth in any way, Smash Mouth can use its lightning fast reflexes to make a sudden and precise bite attack. Otherwise, it is reduced to swinging itself wildly and ineffectively, a tactic made worse by the noticeable delay between this stand's bite attacks.

This means the user cannot directly aim an attack at an opponent unless he can make physical contact. As a result, Smash Mouth is excellent at counterattacks, but cannot deal damage without having taken some. Sneak attacks are a viable option.

>Special abilities
Smash Mouth has three abilities. First, it can spit or drool an acid which is harmless against living matter but incredibly corrosive on nearly anything else.
Second, the inside of its mouth functions as an extradimensional space about as large as a closet. This space cannot hold an unwilling living being and (curiously) does not corrode what it stores. The user can choose what item to spit out.
Finally, Smash Mouth can create and spread disposable, harmless roots about 6 meters long. This takes around two minutes. The roots alert Smash Mouth to the enemy's position when touched, setting them up for a precise bite attack.

>Stats
POWER C / SPEED A / RANGE E / PRECISION [A OR F] / DURABILITY B / POTENTIAL C

I think it'd work pretty well as an enemy stand (especially with the root power), with the protagonists having to figure out its fighting style.
Also, the acid and storage abilities should be perfect setups for the "clever bullshit I did while you weren't looking" type twists we all love.

Yo, the guy who runs the JoJo quest on /qst/ over here. Been trying to find a good Awakening ability for this Stand.
Rainbow in the Dark
Humanoid Stand
Absorbs light (or "Eats" it), creating darkness- And then stores that light, later manipulating it into lasers that rebound on any surface as if it was reflective.
The focus of the Stand is in its ability, so no punchghosting, but i feel the ability is not wide enough to warrant that as is, either.
Any ideas?

Stand:「Ballroom Blitz」

「Ballroom Blitz」 has no physical form. The user creates an area in front of him. If a stand user enters that area, a tangible illusion appears in front of them, like Surface. This illusion looks like the person who entered the area and has an copy of their stand with all its abilities. The illusion is autonomous from the user of 「Ballroom Blitz」, so he cant control the actions of the illusions. The illusion will try to confuse those who help the original person by pretending to be the original copy.

The illusion has a single directive; kill the original person it's based off of. It wont target others unless acted upon, in which its directive will be to kill the original person AND the person(s) who interfered. Once the illusion is killed, another cant be created of that person. If the illusion kills the original person, the illusion will die. The user is invulnerable while 「Ballroom Blitz」is active.

I think it's named after the Tilly and the Wall song, but the first place my head goes is still Pink Floyd.

If it actually splits light into a rainbow, like a prism, maybe it can start doing that to other objects too? Anything it eats can be separated into more basic components, so it could eat food and produce the ingredients in the recipe or eat a manufactured object and spit out the individual components. If it eats something simple enough, all that comes back out are appropriate masses of its constituent elements.

Stand: 「Orion」
Power: Destiny Weaving

User is able to perceive and control destiny allowing them to affect reality in several ways both overt and hidden by using weaving and other related activities/tools as conduits.

Simply put, Orion can make things be, or not be, depending. Best described, Orion can make the probable improbable and vice versa. Not able to summon things out of mid-air, instead the stand alters the outcome of potential actions. If a gun could jam if it's fired at Orion's stand owner, it will. If the person could trip when fighting Orion, they will.

While a potent ability, it isn't 100% precise. That is to say, it cannot decide what exactly will fail and what will succeed, just that the action will or won't.

Ex. A gun is fired at Orion's stand owner. By the powers of Orion, the gun will miss. It does, but it still hits a person near the stand user. It's not precise enough to state "The gun will miss entirely," but it can state "The gun will miss ME."

For what it's worth, here's my thoughts on how to make a JoJo TTRPG. I think the two most important elements of a JoJo game are (a) bullshit stand powers and (b) bullshit plans and ruses.

To that end, I'd consider something like the interaction between refresh and stunts in FATE. Characters have points they can use to declare plans in game, but you can reduce your total points to buy bonuses and abilities for your stand.

When you use your points, though, unlike a hero point or a fate point, you need to tell us what kind of cunning ruse you've set up to improve your chances. Kind of like how you need to narrate stunts in Exalted. So if you edit the scene it's not just, "fortunately there's a bale of hay to break my fall", you've got to explain how you set up a distraction that would delay the hay delivery to a nearby farm at exactly the right time because you obviously knew when and where you'd be falling from a building. And if you want a +2 or a reroll or whatever, you've got to explain what kind of devious trap your opponent's stumbled into to justify the bonus.

I'd also go with a very limited set of actions, like Apocalypse World or FATE again where there are only a few basic moves or core actions. This means you can get really freeform in how you define your stand's ability, but there are only a few stats and actions that determine how effective it actually is. Powers that you buy with your points, obviously, get to break some of these rules in similar ways as character moves in AW or stunts in FATE.

And since bullshit plans and bullshit powers draw on the same pool of points, a player who wants lots of points is going to take a low-power stand with a kooky ability that has a lot of narrative potential. A player that wants a beefy punchghost with A's and B's everywhere and a deadly ability, on the other hand, is going to be a lot more straightforward in their fights since they won't have as many points.

Can a stand "die"?
Right like I've thought about some guy getting his hands on a rusted up Anubis. Anubis the personality is gone or barely there, but the power remains.

The guy who finds the sword uses it's powers with his own stand, inserting chunks of rusted metal into people making them sick. Then he turns that sickness into a physical being.

>>51356546
>mfw the system my friends and I are working on follows a similar philosophy to this

First thing, we handled abilities slightly different than canon. At character creation, when you buy abilities, you give a vague description of what it does. The level of shenanigans you're allowed to pull with the ability is determined by your Learning/Development stat.

Example Ability: "I can turn the building I am currently in into a maze"
E - the walls of the building shift into a maze-like arrangement.
C - Walls are created, destroyed, and rearranged to suit the user's intended design. Odd geometries are possible here.
A - Who said that a maze had to follow Euclidian Geometry? It might have inconsistent gravity, sections that wrap in on itself, or hallways that warp through time.

Second, we implemented a "gotcha!" bonus, giving advantages when players outplay eachother strategically with whatever bullshit means they have on hand.
>>
>>51356923
I think they can. There's at least two cases of stands dying that I can remember up to part 6.
Then there's Notorious B.I.G., which just won't die no matter what.

I currently run 2 seperate Jojo campaigns based on the D10 system and it's going wonderfully! The parties currently go against stands based on traditional Zodiac signs, all in pairs. Their next encounter should be Leo and Taurus.

Leo is [King of Kings], which is a crowned Lion sitting on a gold throne. He can "buy" fealty by promising what his targets currently desire. If bought, the target will serve [King of Kings] for one hour, after which their desire is granted. [King of Kings] can also be empowered by letting eat cash, gaining a significant boost in strength for every 100000$. It helps that the user is the king of Monaco.

Red Letter Days
Exists as a punch-ghost made out of some sort of red ink and is capable of being either a liquid or a solid at any given time. Red Letter Days special power is that it can "infect" whatever writing utensil the user has into writing with red ink. Messages scrawled in this ink can be seen by anyone, in fact you are almost compelled to notice them.

People who read whatever was written are likely to do whatever task that was written. Like the user writes down "jump in place", everyone would start jumping. What's sort of insidious is that no one realizes that they are under Red Letter Day's power, it just seems like a natural thing to do.

Red Letter Days' messages only last for a couple minutes before fading away, along with whatever command was given. Red Letter Days and the user are immune to literary attacks.

《Crescendolls》
Power: D
Speed: A
Range: B (3000 meters)
Durability: C
Precision: A

Appearance: pic related. Stands about 150cm tall.

Ability: Crescendolls has the ability to detach its limbs and "fuse" them with living beings, and hereby taking control of them until Crescendolls retrieves the limbs. Crescendolls can control up to six living beings at a time.
If Crescendolls takes control of another standuser it cannot control that users stand. The user's stand simply becomes idle/disappears.
Crescendolls cannot control its limbs while they are detached. However, neither Crescendolls or its user takes damage from attacks to its limbs. The limbs can however be destroyed, but they refresh if the user rests long enough.
While limbless Crescendolls simply floats around, although it does maintain its speed.
If a controlled individual is more than 3000 meters away from Crescendolls' user they are freed and no longer under Crescendolls' control. The limb which was used to take control, appears back on Crescendolls after 1-3 minutes.

The Stand appears to be a fancy-looking ballpoint pen. The button on the end has a sort of dial, with markings denoting different amounts of time, with the largest being one month (you can adjust this as needed).

By tapping an object, setting the dial, and clicking the pen, the Stand automatically writes out what the object has "experienced," starting from whatever time it set to. It prefers to write on paper if it has any available, but can write on almost any flat surface.

Obviously, it can only write about one object at a time, though the user can click the pen again to stop its writing.

>switching meat armor hosts
Could be a good idea. 「Terror Time」 sticks with it's initial host because it assumes it's 3-4 mile range is based on his user's location(or his user's body's location), but then discovers it's actually based on his own.

「Terror Time」 probably automatically ejects spores...once every 12-24 hours I guess. I don't much much about fungus. The spores would probably gently float downwards, spreading based on wind currents. I'd probably have any fungus growing on his zombies also release spores, causing the spread to become exponential over time.

I'd probably have him pretend his range is shorter than it really is(maybe 1-1.5 miles) while having his zombies set up giant fans on top of nearby tall buildings(and maybe a few "sleeper zombies" start setting up on the outer ring of his range to catch people running away). Then when the time is right, have his zombies gather on top of the buildings and turn the fans on while the spores are released, spreading the infection over as big an area as possible.

「YMCA」can also split the user, other objects, and people. However, the split bodies are not all equal in strength, unlike「YMCA」itself. These split bodies cannot recombine willingly while still in the stand's range. The strength of each piece is determined by the percentage of color the target has. Alright, /sss/, I have an idea for a stand that is basically a deal with the devil. Basically, it manifests as a black hand, and in exchange for a price chosen by the user (the user doesn't have to include the price, but cannot directly lie about it, they can only lie by omission. this price can be something as broad as "the dealmaker's life" "dealmaker", so basically, anything the user can think of referring to the user's partner in the deal. A price must always be attached, and it must have some value, however small.) the stand will snap its fingers, the price will be extracted, and whatever the dealmaker wanted will be given. (This can be just as broad as the price.) The problem, I can't think of a good name that isn't incredibly obvious that it's basically a deal with the devil. (except the devil is a stand)

> Enemy Stand:「Can't Touch This」, a drill-faced mole man that tunnels between any two touching surfaces

Fast Forward...
> Springsteen captured Bowie and made his way to the L-train
> Jackson is on the tracks following Bowie's pupper barks
> L-train arrives
> Jackson makes his way to the top and searches the first two cars
> Springsteen appears from the back of the first, unlatching the second and all subsequent cars to make his getaway

A way to look at it:

Destructive Power:
> E is an invalid, a piece of paper, cotton candy, cardboard, a squirtgun - completely incapable of hurting even a normal person like you or me.

> D is like a kid, a small animal, a weakling, even an airsoft pellet shot - something that is noticeable but still not really up to snuff.

> C is like you, me, even most really strong or hard hitting people

> B is like a punch from Captain America, a gun, a flamethrower - no normal person could do this stuff

> A is like a punch from the Hulk, a tank shell, napalm, there really is no technical upper limit from this point

Think of stuff like that for each parameter. Only exception is Range which is objective and laid out in the wiki entry.

[Iron Maiden] looks like the torture device of the same name, with a bloody lower half and a second smiling face on it's back.
A Matter of Life and Death: [Iron Maiden] can encase the user and one more person inside it. People inside it are completely invurnerable to outside effects if the stand itself holds up.
Powerslave: [Iron Maiden] can switch the consciousness between the two encased individuals for a few minutes. It can also do it several times in succession, making a mess.

[Iron Maiden] is actually the first stand that killed a player (other 3 deaths were either thanks to their own stupidity or PvP) and it did it so by switching minds and eating a point blank Overposed shot to the head from Saggitarius's stand user.

What kind of stands would you guys do for a Cancer and Scorpio pair?
>>
>>51359623
Think of them first as Araki's way of making superpowered psychic battles more visually interesting. Second, think of them as a spiritual manifestation of a character's personality, desires, passions, etc symbolized through a unique power set. Finally, Stands are basically a way for Araki to tell any story he wants.
>>
>>51363922
This is true. 「Star Platinum」and「The World」are the best examples of this.
>>
>>51363922
The way I see it, most of the time Range indicated the range of the Stand ability's "Cause", while the "Effect" of the stand ability has already happened, and generally isn't effected by the range of the "Cause"
>>
>>51364099
「KISS」has A range because of their ability, but is obviously a punch ghost. But then against Part 6 has even weirder stats than 3.
>>
>>51364145
You say that, but plenty of Stands have high range that are moving away from their user like 「Highway Star」while not having any long range abilities themselves.

If you run/would run a JoJo based campaign, is your BBEG's stand related to time?
>>
>>51364180
That's because for most "Punching Ghosts" The manifestation and attacking of the Stand is the Stand's "Cause"
Plus remember Highway Star also had the Trap Room Generation ability, which definitely was being used as a Long Range "Cause"

Nope!
>>
>>51364266
Then how do you explain >>51364099
>>
>>51364260
Yes
>>
>>51364327
Easily.
The stand itself has a short range, and can "Cause" its ability while withing a short range.

However, the Effect of the Stand's "Cause", in this case the "Stopped Time" is an "Effect" triggered's by the Stand's "Cause", and as such is not limited to the range limitation on the Stand's Range and "Cause"
>>
>>51364421
Then why a C?
>>
>>51364429
Because that's the distance of the "Cause" of the stand moving, manafesting, and punching, and the "Effect" would be "hitting and throwing shit" which is not limited by their Range
>>
>>51364260
I don't even know about my current Part's BBEG yet. I'm flying by the seat of my pants.

When I do figure it out though I will definitely try to give them one.

Its too late to push both the Zodiac and the Sins theme, if I had this idea earlier, I might have tried it. Right now the organization that the Zodiacs work is basically the inquisition so they themselves mimicking sins wouldn't really work.

I admit I have never even heard of Ophiuchus. The plan was to make Gemini, the BBEG of the current story, a partner to itself (as Libra was supposed to partner with a PC at the very start, so there had to be an odd one out) but with Ophiuchus, this can be a nice little twist! Thanks again!

C - That of a Human (Baseline)
B - Demihuman (Hercules, Maui, Krillin)
A - God (Infinite Spiral Power)

D is slightly less than Human, and E would be essentially 0 / None / Negligible.
>>
>>51365209
if you do go for ophicus, I have an idea for what the stand might be
[How Great Is Our God]
A snake with a head on either end, one being male and the other female, and any item or person that is swallowed by one end can be expelled out the other with velocities varying depending on the objects mass. It's power is [Forbidden Fruit], which allows the stand's user to create an illusion of a person's greatest sin and force them to relive it in a loop.

I've actually never watched/read up on any JoJo, so sorry if this doesn't work for whatever reason!
>>
>>51365360
That's an awesome stand dude, it should work great. I'll actually use it as the real BBEG's stand of that campaign!
>>
>>51365409
for your Scorpio stand, how about
[I've Got Your Number]
A stationary and roughly arachnoid shaped array of cables and metal with a "stinger" ended with an oversized security camera. it's ability [Peeping Tom] allows for its user to examine any person who's full name they know within 200 miles, with sound only being available within 100.
>>
>>51364260
Potentially one of he happens on his Requiem stand, Fly Like An Eagle.

The other two are basically a Stand power thief and a secret government group, so time doesn't factor much into those.

Hopes Were High induces a large, controlled beam of microwave energy from it's hands. The concentrated power quickly melts anything unlucky enough to come into contact with it. Can also transmit information to Microwave dishes.

The stand may also attempt to charge it's immediate surroundings with the deadly microwave energy. It also gives you cancer if you stand by it for long enough I guess, what am I, a doctor?

give it a built in weakness of its beam only working on small enough objects, otherwise only the outer edges get overdone and the inside stays ice cold

I run a campaign in which one player happens to have a Stand named「Godsmack」.

It absorbs heat from its surroundings creating various cold effects depending on severity. The absorbed heat gives「Godsmack」itself a tremendously raised surface and body temperature allowing it to do a variety of things involving high temperatures.

「2095」
>Inspiration: "Your Truly, 2095" by ELO

Power: E
Speed: E
Range: C
Durability: A
Precision: E
Learning: D

「2095」 is an automatic stand that grants the user the ability to detect the "surface" or "basic" desires of people in range. When an individual states or expresses desire in something within range, the user can ask the person "Is that what you want?". Doing so triggers the Stand's second ability.

When asked the question, the target must answer truthfully what it is they truly wish and desire deep down at that exact moment. If they are untruthful or refrain from answering, then the stand will manifest, resembling a female mannequin made of ice, to start to wrap around the target and lower their temperature until they freeze. When they finally freeze, the stand will for some reason kiss the person that has frozen.

Attempting to answer with more untruthful answers will speed the freezing process up, though once the target answer completely truthfully they are immediately freed from the stand's power.

It should be noted that the user cannot stop the freezing effect herself, and if someone else asks them "Is that what you want" in response to an appropriate expression, they too will be attacked by their own stand if they answer untruthfully.

Your thoughts?

「Fly Like an Eagle」 is something I plan on being one of those "railroaded to get you introduced to the setting" fights early in the campaign.

「Fly Like an Eagle」 is a pair of wings that manifests on the back it's user. By itself is fairly weak and uninteresting: It gives it's user the power of flight. This lets them attack from strange angles normally difficult for others and the wings are strong enough to hurt someone, but still pretty small fry compared to other planned BBEGs; that can steal other Stand's powers, a group planning on turning the Statue of Liberty into a stand, and the above 「Terror Time」 zombie fungus.

「Fly Like an Eagle Requiem」 is something that can turn up later. I read Requiem stands are formed based on what the user wants at the time the stand is struck by the arrow(or meteor fragment in my game's case), so I plan on having him get it when he wants to "Get out of here" (ie, jail). This grants 「Fly Like an Eagle Requiem」 the ability to fly to anywhere and anywhen it wants to.

This is all just possibilities of course. If my party decides to simply just kill 「Fly Like an Eagle」, this is obviously impossible.

I currently have 4 BBEGs in my two campaigns: each with one BBEG only for their arc (like how Akira Otoishi was in part 4) and the other for the entire campaign. Let's start with the more minor ones:

[Fly Me to the Moon] is a gray mechanical humanoid stand with bright blue eyes. Almost the entire right of its body is uncovered, revealing gears constantly in motion. Whenever it attacks or uses an ability, some hot steam is propelled from its body.

[Come Fly With Me]:「Fly Me to the Moon」launches the projection of whatever the user is currently holding towards the direction of the moon. The projection is launched with a speed above the sound barrier. If the moon is not visible, it has no effect.

[After You've Gone]: If the stand is nearby whenever someone dies, the corpse bends to form a circular shape, rises up to 8 feet high and starts shining and spinning. This corpse now acts as a moon for [Fly Me to the Moon] abilities.

The Best is Yet to Come
[Fly Me to the Moon」 speeds towards the moon and begins to "overheat", boiling anyone alive that is closer than 30 feet.

I've had an idea for an yet-unnamed villain Stand recently. The Stand's looks might vary based on the name I end up giving it, but one necessary feature are multiple spikes covering its body. When a person is pierced by one of these spikes, they're inflicted with the "Earthquake Disease".

The disease has three stages. The first stage is assymptomatic – you're only a carrier. The second stage is the weak stage: vibrations come out of your body into everything you touch. It becomes troublesome to hold things, stand still, and even walk, as everything you touch shake beyond your control. In the final stage the vibrations are strong enough to bring down buildings and split the earth.

I'm thinking there should be some sort of trigger that takes someone from one stage to the next, but I haven't decided what yet. Any suggestion?
>>
>>51374981
Maybe make it health related?
Like you need X amount of some mineral to stay in just stage one; the less you have the worse it gets?

The spike is a plant, and it grows into anything.

with stands with multiple Acts, like Echoes, is the user able to switch between Acts to access previous abilities? Koichi never did in the manga/anime IIRC, but he can switch in Eyes of Heaven. I know there isn't much precedent, simply because there have only been 2 stands that progress like that (beyond just gaining new abilities like Star Platinum: The World and Killer Queen's Bites the Dust)
>>
Why are stands named after songs and why are half of them electroswing?

I was referring more to the ones in this thread, personally I couldn't get through the first episode of JoJo.

There's a pretty good amount of Caravan Palace songs in this thread, as well as a couple Parov Stelar and a few miscellaneous groups and artists that are all electroswing. Struck me as weird because I'm not used to people knowing what it even is outside of a few isolated internet communities.

Nigger, the stand can pause for an indefinite time but the user can't handle it, so they will pass the fuck out and the stand disappears, thus resuming time.

Good to see folks who can't read are removing themselves now though
>>
>>51375250
At first I didn't like this idea, but the more I thought about it the more it made sense to me. You're likely going indoors to prevent the disease from advancing, but if it has already grown strong enough, the building will simply crash down on you. The spikes in the Stand could be thorns, and the plant-theme is close to the earth-theme, right? I could even mix it up with >>51375154 and make the power related to the amount of Vitamin D in your bloodstream.

>>51375525
Another interesting trigger. Would make sense with the vibrations coming out of the subject and becoming earthquakes. The name could work well despite referring to hurricanes.

I think >>51375250 was suggesting a trigger for the advanced stages of the disease.

Creating a Green Baby like monster is one of the stages of the plant growth, and the most dangerous. It gives the plant infecting them a means to get what it want; punching holes in buildings, opening windows and stuff like that to get to the sun.

I quite liked a suggestion I got from someone else, 「Queens of the Stone Age」 , and I might go with that. But, currently, I'm listening to songs suggested here or otherwise to decide.

>>51379573
Well, it depends on what's your problem. What are you trying to find? A Stand that fits the NPC? A Stand that'll pose a challenge for your players? Something else? A combination of these?
>>
>>51379677
>Well, it depends on what's your problem. What are you trying to find? A Stand that fits the NPC?
Yeah, it's a fairly major villain whose character traits I've already determined. however, I just cannot for the life of me think of a good Stand for him. The character is basically a hardass, corrupt Sheriff who's hunting down the PCs.
>>
>>51379722
It let's him see where anyone is so long as he's seen them before and he's got an anti-material rifle.
>>
>>51379573
Two ideas:

1: Think about your characters needs, desires, or traumatic experiences. Think about what could help the character deal with this, then base the stand around that.
2: Look through threads like these, or other websites until you find a stand that fits.

>Example from my campaign:
character has a dying little sister that he cares for deeply. His stand animates plush toys and gives them basic abilities based on what the toy is. If his little sister's teddy bear is animated, it heals those it hugs.

Scooby's stand was Dust in the Wind and was tied to his sense of smell, enhancing it to insane levels.
Velma was beginning to suspect his Stand was far stronger than he realized, as his stand didn't just point out clues. But it could MAKE them; pulling them out of time/memory. In example it could recreate burned documents that would incriminate someone, create a scrap of a villain's disguise. Or say... Fill up a kitchen with a smorgasbord of food for him and Shaggy.

Shaggy's stand was more of an infection; a tiny little thing that he could control and duplicate to pass along to others. Under the effects of his stand him and Scoob could ignore their bodies limits and run faster/farther, hit harder, and so on than they should.
But it's not a good thing and requires a lot food/ is slowly killing them. Eventually they'll need the stand to just stay alive.

Fred's messed with time, allowing him to do two things at once.
>>
>>51380168
Fred's stand made copies of itself in time, allowing it to do multiple actions at once.

His was the least developed (Velma and Daphne' stands are terrible and I won't be posting them) but I really want to work on his and make it more... viable and generic cause I really like the idea behind it.

「FLETCHER'S LAMENT」

Power: C
Speed: B
Range: A
Durability: A
Precision: E
Learning: D

「FLETCHER'S LAMENT」 is the Stand of 「QUEEN ANNE THE FIRST OF GREAT BRITAIN」, following her successful revival. It's appearance resembles that of a marble statue of a Renaissance noblewoman, with a long flowing 'dress' of concrete, and a hollow torso containing what appears to be the belfry of a bell-tower.

「FLETCHER'S LAMENT」's first power is its ability to set 「Alarms」; at any point while she is alive, Queen Anne may designate a particular target (in the case of this story, the nation of Great Britain). Then, should her Stand accept the target, it will begin counting down the 「Alarm」. Within the bounds of the story, 「FLETCHER'S LAMENT」 activated when the nation of Great Britain appeared likely to separate into its constituent parts, imbuing twenty individuals with Stands and challenging them on pain of death to compete for political influence. When only five competitors remain, Anne herself will revive to eliminate them and finalise her resurrection.

「FLETCHER'S LAMENT」's second, true power is 「WHY AM I SO SAD ON THIS MY WEDDING DAY」, the ability to 「stop time」. The philosopher Zeno proposed a paradox where nothing can truly 「move」 and so all things are 「motionless」, ringing 「FLETCHER'S LAMENT」's bell creates an area where motion is impossible for any bar Anne herself. In short, it creates a small 「black hole」 half a mile wide where atoms, light, and even destiny are permanently frozen for as long as the user remains alive. Anne may create as many of these areas as she wishes.

「Keep On Rocking」

The Stand vaguely looks like a raver, furry leg socks, fishnet cloak, and glow sticks growing from its body. Seems to jitter even if it is staying in place and just can't seem to or want to stay still.

「Keep On Rocking」is capable of increasing the momentum/pace of a given thing in it's range. The thing can either be physical (a rock sliding down a hill, someone's marching pace) or non tangible (the quickness of a mob to turn violent or an old lady to feel pity). It can only do this to one thing at a time, and cannot escalate things with the ability farther than it would possibly go.

For example, a tense insult laden stand-off between two enemies has a good chance of getting crazy even without the Stand interfering. The Stand's ability would simply have the eventual beatdown come way faster. It is also possible for it to increase the speed of someone's common sense kicking in (the more eloquent one realizes they don't need to fight, /possibly/ acts on it and talks the other down). In the latter case, it would act slower (and potentially come too late) as quickening the stuff that comes more naturally is easier. If used on a sentient being (for example, the eloquent guy in the previous example), they feel a certain sense of speed and may recognize that the Stand is trying to mess with them. The ability loses its hold on someone if they specifically recognize the Stand or the User being responsible.

Can be a punchghost if needed and probably belongs to a shaky milquetoast type frightened of the world.

「Every Breath You Take」is a long range invisibility based stand. Unless the stand or user is severely injured or exhausted, the stand itself can be seen even by other stand users, though it does have a true form, that of a flabby skinless figure. Additionally, anybody or thing 「Every Breath You Take」 touches can also be made invisible. However, the effect disappears when contact is broken.

Shaggy Rogers

[Run To The Hills]

Power: C
Speed: A
Range: D
Durability: B
Precision: D
Learning: B

[Run To The Hills] resembles a hippie version of the tobacco store indian, complete with a feather headdress, various beatnik symbols and junk jewelry, and a wooden texture to it's 'skin'. It's power, [Run For Your Lives], allows Shaggy to continuously escape from any danger or threat he is currently aware of, warping space in order to allow him to continue running. This means that every scene with hallways longer than they should be, looping scenery, or doors that lead to other doors even though they logically shouldn't is the work of Shaggy's stand letting him continuously run until he can get away.. It also has the ability to open or unlock any conventionally barricaded or sealed exit, and whatever he can't unlock he just batters down.

As it develops, [Run To The Hills] will eventually gain the ability [Swooce], which allows Shaggy to run from and escape more abstract concepts such as gravity, friction, and even death itself.

[Hungry Like The Wolf]

Power: C
Speed: B
Range: D
Durability: A
Learning: C

[Hungry Like The Wolf] takes the form of a, mishappen dog or barghest with a distended belly. It's power, [Jaw Stretcher Special] has two abilities. First, it allows anyone the Stand is touching to elastically stretch and elongate their joints to an unnatural degree - most often used by Shaggy and Scooby to consume piles of food larger than their own head. This elascity is also the source of Shaggy and Scoobys ability to prat fall and absorb shock and otherwise be unharmed by blows and falls that would seriously injure them. Second, anything [Hungry Like the Wolf] swallows is effectively stored in a dimensional pocket, and can be retrieved or regurgitated out for later use. The stand can and will stretch it's own jaws, large enough to swallow even an adult male. The stand tends to afflict those who use it's powers with incessant hunger, hence Shaggy and Scoobys constant insatiable lust for food.

Daphe's stand, [Mystery Machine], is... well, the Mystery Machine. Taking the form of an old 70's VW bus, the Mystery Machine is a durable and reliable vehicle that is larger on the inside than the out, being big enough to comfortably house 4 adults and a large dog for long periods of time. It's special ability, [Danger Prone], extends to Daphne as well as the Mystery Machine itself and is something of a double edged sword.

Essentially, [Danger Prone] means that in any instance where there is danger to be found, probability will shift so that Daphne will encounter it. This is why the Mystery Machine always breaks down or runs out of gas in unusual or haunted places, and why Daphne herself is always falling through trap doors, tripping, or being kidnapped. The positive side of this ability is that Daphne functions as a canary in the mine shaft, a barometer that the gang can use to accurately judge whether or not they're walking into trouble. If there IS a threat, Daphne is sure to find it - usually by tripping over it.

My own take on 「Every Breath You Take」

「EBYT」 takes on the form of a swarm of small thin creatures, each with a single eye. Similar to pic related if they were tall and thin. 「EBYT」's main ability is being able to split up and separate over a large radius of about 10 miles from it's user, with the user being able to see anything 「EBYT」 sees. IE, long-range surveillance.

「EBYT」's user is basically lobotomized and behind a large security force in a cyberpunk-style corporation. He brain is hooked up to a normal surveillance system enhanced by 「EBYT」 that allows Eagle Corp. security to scan the city to unauthorized Stand activity, with 「EBYT」-enhanced cameras allowing even the average joe security guard to see Stands, albeit just on a monitor.

Hit squads called "The Police" are deployed when unauthorized Stands are detected, equipped with special 「EBYT」-enhanced visors that let them see and combat Stands.

[Double Vision]

Power: E
Speed: D
Range: D
Durability: C

[Double Vision] is an intelligence gathering stand similar to Hermit Purple that manifests as a pair of chunky old horn rimmed glasses. The glasses are normal in all respects aside from being surprisingly durable, and having a tendency to find their way back to the owner after a moderate period of searching no matter how they're lost. The stand, in the first instance, greatly enhances the wearers eyesight - giving Velma 20/20 sight even though she would otherwise be legally blind. More importantly, it grants Velma powerful psychometric abilities - a form of extrasensory perception characterized by the ability to make relevant associations from an object of unknown history by making physical contact with that object. Important, well handled, or emotionally affected objects are highlighted to her vision, allowing her to pick 'clues' out of pitch black or find them no matter how well hidden. Furthermore it gives her the unconscious awareness of how these objects relate to one another and the case at hand. This combined with Velma's gift for deductive reasoning and lateral thinking is the reason why she is able to solve every case.

[Double Vision] in action. Think of any videogame where objects are highlighted so you can find them easily, and you can pick them up and spin them around and see tool-tips and popup hints as well.

I've got a game starting this week (hopefully) that takes place in Greece, 2001. A stand user has emerged with the power to destroy the world, and wants someone to defeat him before he goes too far.

I feel like I'm not as good at thinking up stand as I thought. I made a bunch and the only ones I like are a golf flag that controls the entire course's weather and geology, and a stand that makes you fall asleep unless you can keep your body temperature high.

Speed: D

Durability: B
Learning: C

'A chain reaction is a sequence of reactions where a reactive product or by-product causes additional reactions to take place. In a chain reaction, positive feedback leads to a self-amplifying chain of events.'

[Chain Reaction], in essence, allows Freddie to control how kinetic forces affect and transfer from multiple objects he has touched, with perfect conservation of energy from object to object, building on itself. Generally he uses this to set up elaborate Rube Goldburg machines with which to trap his enemies, but it also allows him to perform a variety of tricks like delay the application of kinetic force, or amplify it through layering. Observe pic related for a practical example. As a punch ghost, this has obvious applications.

Keep it simple. Base your Stands off of Greek gods in the same way as the Egypt part of SC did. Find quirky, indirect ways of doing this for more originality.

As for your story, consider constructing a modernized pastiche of Greek myths done JoJo style. Think of classic tales and make Stands that xan make them happen too.
>>
>>51387357
The stands, player and villain, are based on the greek zodiac already. The most literal pastiche I have is Taurus, who is an actual bull named Avici. His stand "levels" allows him to control bones that he touches with his horns. He fights the players on the beach where he can creat crustacean minions out of seashells. He is paired with Leo, a human Sunny John whose stand "bangarang" produces light that gives him control of people's eyeballs.

「Conquest」 has to ability to switch the positions in space of two objects or living creatures within an instant. Directions may also be switched, or stay the same as before. The two targets must be within sight of the stand user. Because of this, it can be tricky for the user to use themselves as a target: they'd have to do things like hold a hand in front of their face, use mirrors, or stick their tongue out so they can see a parts of themselves and thus become a suitable target. Additionally, this means the stand is useless if user can't see.

>>51387605
>>51387256
Idea for your BBEG: he in fact, barely has control of his stand if at all - it reacts to any threat against him regardless of his desires, destroying it utterly. The reason for this is the Stand is self aware, and being Dragon like, considers the BBEG it's 'treasure' - and anything that would take him from it is a threat to be destroyed. Fearing for the world after losing those he loves to the Stands over aggressive protection, he isolates himself, and recruits lieutenants cowed by his almighty power - partially to dissuade others from bothering him, partially to create a gauntlet in order to breed a hero that could kill him - because he's uncertain if his stand will ever let him die, even of old age, or what it would do to the world if he DID die. So his stand must be destroyed.

The actual BBEG is the stand itself, fawning and obsessed with the Stand User, Yandere and pyschopathic
>>
>>51387701
sounds neat, the line of sight limitation keeps it from being OP but still potentially tremendously useful
>>
>>51387710
To expand on this, the 'BBEG' adopts an imperious and godlike demeanor, both to fool it's followers and it's Stand, who does not know he's plotting against it. Styling himself as the new king of Gods, he plants himself ontop of Mount Olympus, the mythical seat of the gods and more importantly a rather large and remote mountain.
>>
>>51387710
>>51387745

That's pretty much what I have already. DragonForce is independent and its user, Herman Z, fears what it may do, because every time it uses its power it affects a larger radius. He's hiding out in Mount Olympus and wants someone to kill him before he DragonForce's the world. The other issue is that he's a vampire left over from the Pillar Men's minions. He's mellowed out a bit, but it means that he can't be killed except with Hamon (going out into the sunlight causes DragonForce to blot out the sun). He flesh-budded a handful of people and wiped their memories except for the order "Kill the Joestars. I am in Mount Olympus", in the hopes that the Joestar will win with Hamon and a Stand and come to him.

There's an independent villain group that wants to cause the end of the world for their own reasons but I don't have them entirely figured out yet.

I'm actually in a Jojo game right now. My character is a teenager named Joey Malone, and his Stand is named 「Rebel Yell」- pic related, its a shitty representation of what it usually looks like.

「Rebel Yell」is a pretty strong Stand, physically. Definitely the most Power among the players. It's pretty zippy, too. You'd think it'd be sluggish, but it's faster than most humans. Low range, though, and its precision is pretty shit.

The real fun is its ability - it can turn things into still images on any surface, by squashing them against said surface. It can swat a person into a chalk outline on the floor, or it can swat things into murals on the wall.

While inked up, these objects are essentially stored in a pocket dimension - similar to The Hand and Cream. 「Rebel Yell」's user can release them at will. The power can stay in effect over a pretty large area - it's only the Stand that's limited in proximity.

When an object is released, it springs out from the surface it was attached to, with a fair amount of momentum. People trapped in walls will stumble forward, a chair stuck on the floor will pop up about a foot.

the user has so far learned to use the ability for mobility by using released objects as catapults, and has revealed that he keeps snacks stashed all around the school where the characters are at.

(The game is set at "Speedwagon Academy" which is kept in a remote jungle, and Stand-using kids are trained and encouraged. Basically it's like Jojo Hogwarts, if Hogwarts let in really smart Squibs)

I can only assume that you are doing a Stone Ocean style game where it's set in a single location and the primary antagonist being revealed multiple sessions in
>>
>>51388312
Yeah, it's actually being run on an ad-hoc basis over discord - no "sessions", just scenarios whenever people feel like playing. DM is having important stuff happen wherever the players tend to be.

It's pretty Stone Oceany, though, for sure. No clear antagonist yet. There has been a Stand-related murder of a senior staff member, though, and that's kind of the kickstarter for the plot.
>>
>>51388287
> X Men
> Harry Potter
> Yu Gi Oh GX

Rip them all off but here's the crucial part to make it truly JoJo: it's not a "Stand User Academy" by design. It's a normal boarding school that is loaded with Stand Users.
>>
>>51388382
Well, that's the thing - nominally, it's an elite boarding school for the rich, famous and powerful. Students are typically from wealthy backgrounds, and from all over the world. joey, my character, probably got in by virtue of being a hoodlum who ran into Foundation members and was offered a scholarship.

>>
>>51389341
Doesn't sound too requiemish, and kind of hard to make mechanically fun. What are you planning to do with it?
>>
>>51389371
New gm as well. Try to think of maybe a specific place you would want it to be set in or you could go for a broader international adventure. I like thinking of the villain and building down (make him the best character you can because he is the final boss for your players). Having some bizarre allies is good. Other than that all I can really think of is make cool stands and think of wacky stuff to do while furthering the plot. Something I wanted to do for a while was an Old West Jojo campaign.
>>
>>51389371
Someone close to the protagonist is plotting to kill their parent with a strange artefact.

Ancient evils from before humanity have awoken to take over.

The players desperately need to get to X distant location in a strict time limit. Bad guys intercept to slow them down.

A lot of people in the same location are developing stands at the same time.

The players use their powers to fight to some position or title of renown.
>>
>>51389389
To be honest I wasn't thinking anything specific when I thought of it. I just wanted to make it time related because that was a sort of common theme for main villains. It also makes him a 1v1 monster but I'm wondering if it's too strong since he can just not have to worry about groups of enemies. He hasn't revealed his powers yet, so it's still an option to change it. I think maybe just brainstorming some weird limitations for his powers might solve it.

Here's the second BBEG, the leader of the zodiac organization. The other two have abilities that are time-based.

Gemini: [Alice in Chains] looks identical to and is always chained by wrist to the user. The stand can switch places with the user without restrictions, immediately and without the possibility for anyone to notice the change.

[Chains and Wrists]: The stand can chain any two people within range by their wrists. These chains are almost impossible to break and can only be taken off by cutting one of the hands off. If one of the targets dies while wearing the chain, the other one dies in about 1 second.

[A Second Farewell]: [Alice in Chains] can reanimate any pair who have died while wearing these chains, as well as their stands. They are slightly less durable, but otherwise remain completely same and absolutely loyal to Gemini. Once the reanimated pair is killed, it cannot be brought back.

This stand surrounds the user with a bright "divine" energy, that can be redirected in any direction to blast an incredibly strong attack.
Seeing this stand might make bystanders be dazzled by the display if they are weak willed. This attack hurts more , the more "wicked" the target is.
Despite this great offensive, it offers little to no defense at all, with the only defense possible being attacking as fast as possible any given target.

I made a couple of changes to it, to better suit the party. I noticed that players prefer shorter, deadlier engagements, so I changed the total HP formula from (5+Bulk*3) to (5+Bulk*2). Also, you cannot substract your stand's durability instead of your bulk.
Finally, to further make battles faster, you no longer roll Aim vs Avoid and deal damage = Total Attack - Total Defense. You just deal the difference between the Aim vs Avoid rolls, followed by a multiplier (x1 for anything that is never lethal, like a punch or a power C- stand, x2 for anything that might kill, like a sword slash or power B stand, x3 for Overpose and attacks that are almost always lethal, like close range shotgun blasts or power A stands).
Basically, 2-4 successful attacks usually end the fight. It makes for much more intense encounters as well as dodges the problem of unkillable stands with Durability and Bulk A.
