My skype is oreal[dot]platine, pls respond
How do you handle crafting in your groups, /tg/? Is it just for fixing and or upgrading bought items or can it be used to make items from scrap too?
For example, the dev mentioned on the German forums that scrappers can make ammo for their weapons, but it's nowhere in the rules.
What do you think is the signal that chernobog is aiming for?
Doesn't work for my schedule, but I sent a friend of mine your way.
Why are Spitalians best?
Thank you anon. And to answer your question, it's because they're the more likely to survive in the long run.
Pretty much, yeah.
Spitalians > Chroniclers/Hellvetics/Anabaptists > Judges/Scrappers > Jehammedans/Apocalyptics > Palers >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Afrikults > Clanners
Judges are the meme lawful retard faction, switch them around with Palers and you got it right.
Palers are fugly and nobody will ever play them but they
protect the Sleepers which are the only hope of rebuilding humanity
But as a GM having a Judge player leaves sooo many open opportunities. If they are playing the Lawful lawful guy you can through typical stuff, but i have a player who is playing Lawful fuck you. I can say its gold character interaction.
Sleepers would make a pretty good faction.
I kind of messed up the hairless part.
I requested this before I knew that ALL Spitalians shave their heads.
If I can find a drawthread which isn't already at 300+ requests I'll request an Anabaptist version of Saber.
>The most civilized European region happens to be historically Germanic
>Three of the best cults also happen to base themselves in that area
>Poland is a wasteland of snow and shit
Nah, bro. They German as fuck.
Honestly, it's better this way.
The clear answer is interesting for a few seconds after it's revealed. A mystery is interesting all the way through.
Plots like "Getrell is on his orbital facility in cryostasis, waiting for 10th cascade to happen to conquer Earth" or "Getrell died right after the Eschaton and his plan is proceeding without him and without purpose" will get old right after being revealed. I think players and characters should never know those things for sure.
I appologize in advance for my ignorance, my copy is still in the mail, but couldn't you slightly modify the Helvetic background to make PC sleepers?
Or is there more to it?
I ask because PC sleepers seem like the most logical way to introduce this game and setting to a new group. The game world is just as new to their characters as it is to the player.
In my opinion it's really not the same thing.
Hellvetics' creed is learned, they are taught the value of duty by their peers, their obsession over doctrine is entirely self-aware.
Sleepers are literally programmed to set up a new world order, if you were to respect the fluff it wouldn't leave the players much agency.
yeah I suppose it's doable, just be aware that sleepers could have access to some very advanced tech (which of course could have broken down). There's also the issue of sleepers basically being indoctrinated to do certain tasks for some secret plan of the RG group, but this too could have been broken down, since in the fluff there's mentions of renegade sleepers.
Sleepers are goddamn killing machines. That would break the game.
Fluff-wise, there are sleepers who break out from their meme conditioning, but come on, introducing a character with 10 dice in everything to the group of regular characters would be disastrous. Maybe as a plot device for a late-game party or something.
Why would the character be a sleeper then? That's their whole gist, being nanite-powered supersoldiers from the old world with an agenda.
You could probably try to make a sleeper from malfunctioning cryopod. Just add regeneration potential instead of ususal stuff, and make a story about character slowly regaining his power and memory.
M8, just look at their goddamn stats. 10 dice. 10. dice.
Not all sleepers are the same, you got the frozen killing machines, yes, but sleepers have subtypes. The stats listed are for sleepers as enemies, not PCs.
And if you read the fluff then you'd know that the cryo pods housed regular, normal people before RG decided to go ahead with their world domination plan. A very popular theory is that some of the marauders were originally those people thrown out by RG.
I suppose you could introduce "civilian" cryopods.
People who were supposed to inhabit this new world order after the Sleepers subjugated everything.
They could be just normal, not the same nanotech killing machines as actual Sleepers.
Well, most of the named marauders are former RG members or other talented pre-war scientists.
But yeah, frozen civilians are a possibility. Good luck meeting good honest people who could explain everything that happened though. It's not Fallout 4.
Is it just me, or does the Degenesis logo look suspiciously like a swastika.
We were over this before. Look up the archives, there's an explanation what different factions' logos mean.
And yeah, this is a solar symbol, and swastika is a solar symbol too, so naturally they look almost the same.
Not him, but that book was super railroaded at times. I mean, if you take all those descriptions as examples of actions (like dodge, hide, sneak attack etc.) it's a pretty good guide for the GM. But if you follow the book literally, it reads like a CYOA with very few actual choices. Especially the last confrontation that is essentially "roll several tough rolls or die".
The rules are easy as fuck and character creation shouldn't take you more than 10 minutes.
The setting has extremely heavy and interesting lore, but every single region of the world (there are 7) has its own culture/enemies/threats, so depending on the campaign you do there's not much you need to know.
You will have to read about 100 pages of setting lore. Half of those is wonderful art and the rest is well written. But the world is complex - for the GM. For the players it can be as simple or complex as desired. They could be bums who know nothing, finding out is always part of this game.
