Lizardmen creation thread!
Roll a 1d100 to find out where we were spawned!
>An active Temple City- We arose from the spawning pool to find a city thriving with purpose, it's streets filled with Kroxigar and Skink workers while Saurus report to Slann Mage Priests.
So we're off to a good start for Lizardmen. Roll 1d40 for what kind of leader was spawned for this brood
>Saurus-A warrior of peerless ability from birth the Saurus were created by the Old Ones to be the backbone of the Lizardmen armies. Your leader grows stronger with each year and is technically immortal, the protective scales hardening more than stone or steel over time. Typically favor offensive action, our leader is a true expert in butchering the foes of the Lizardmen.
Roll 1d10 for what kind of lizardmen forms the majority of our army!
The 2 and the 3 both result in Kroxigar!
>Kroxigor-Massive above all other lizardmen races the Kroxigar are the builders, the laborers of Lizardmen society. While they may be dull witted and unused to fighting their natural physical abilities more than make up for this. The enemy will be crushed beneath their feet.
For the heck of it we'll say the second largest group of lizardmen in the army are Saurus for the 5 that was rolled.
>Saurus-Perfected killing machines and designed by the Old Ones as the Lizardmen's soldiers the Saurus are both physically powerful and mentally agile. While they care little for building or art they are wholly focused on preserving the beauty of the Old Ones works. No enemy can stand against the might of the Saurus warriors!
Now the thing is that when we spawned our Brood might have come with specialized lizardmen..........what are they? Roll 1d20!
Nice! For a 20 we get to come up with our own special snowflake lizardmen. Normal options are skink chameleons, skirmishers, and temple guards.
You guys can decide on a lizardmen of a known type that has a unique ability or you can make an entirely new and never before seen kind of lizardmen. What do you want to do?
Alright! Large Sized Deathclaw Chamelions were spawned with your Brood! Basically think Kroxigars who can into stealth, can effectively camouflage and have enormous claws.
And on that note roll 1d40 to determine the nature of any kind of hero who may travel with is
Alright we got a Skink Priest!
So to summarize so far.
We were spawned in a thriving and bustling Temple City. Our leader is a Saurus Warrior of great ability and a Skink Priest has decided to tag along with us. Most of are Kroxigars, with a minority of Saurus and an elite unit of Kroxigar sized Chameleon Deathclaws.
Almost forgot, what did the Skink Priest do that made it so heroic and famous?
Roll a d65
>A great weapon forged from a special material like volcanic glass or the bone of a great carnosaur.
So the Skink Priest has a special weapon it brought with it. Now does it use this weapon itself? Or does it go to our Saurus leader? What kind of weapon is it and what is it made out of?
I'll go with the obsidian greatsword then.
Now then! The part anyone ever really plays Lizardmen.
What kind of DINOSAURS do we use?
Roll a d36
No, unless someone else wants to make one
>Maintain the Prophecy- We do not know the consequence of our actions on the Great Plan. We must maintain our defenses until we do.
So our Temple City or just our army is unsure about the future and is more concerned about maintaining defenses and the status quo until things get figured out. Makes sense for an army of a lot of Kroxigar.
Now every brood was spawned to combat a specific threat in mind.
Roll a d8 to see what race we were planned to face. These are units we get a special bonus to fighting against.
When we spawned all the members of our brood had a comprehensive understanding of Chaos and how best to detect it, fight it, and root it out. It was prophesied that we would win a great victory against Chaos.
But.....has the Prophecy gone astray?
Roll a d99
Rolled 54 (1d100)
Lizardfolk or kobold?
spoiler: I prefer the first one
>An active Temple City We arose from the spawning pool to find a city thriving with purpose, it's streets filled with Kroxigar and Skink workers while Saurus report to Slann Mage Priests.
So off to another good start.
Roll a d40 to decide what kind of leader was spawned for us
>SlannFirstborn children of the Old Ones and heirs to their legacy. The Slanns are wise and powerful beyond imagining and constantly communicate between themselves as they watch the world turn. With a Slann as our leader our victory is assured for only they know the Plan of the Old Ones, that marvelous blueprint for all life into eternity. Will we prove worthy of the task the Slann lay upon us?
Someone come up with a name for the Slann.
Next is to find out who makes the majority of our troops. Roll d10, I'll take the first and second roll into account.
Alright it looks like a reversal of the other group.
Most of the units in this army are Saurus, backed by Kroxigar.
Roll a 1d20 to see if we have any special lizardmen.
Unfortunately it looks like we have no specialist lizardmen.
HOWEVER this means at the end we can reroll any one category we have previously rolled for.
That said do we have a hero?
Roll a d40
