I can acknowledge that there's a lot of differences in types of beer and wine; like most people, I've had a taste here and there. However, there was always an underlying, bitter-to-sour taste like rotten fruit. I'm going to guess that was the alcohol, given that I've tasted it in every alcoholic beverage I've tried. I mean, I've seen alcohol abuse nearly get someone killed and ruin them financially, so I guess part of it is paranoia about that happening.
