Let's have Derek pop smoke to cover everyone as we move into the building in the upper right. Carefully sneak into position to have Oleg get a visual inside the distortion field using his anti-distortion field goggles.
Use smoke as needed from LOKI-1 and Derek to cover our approach. Try not to overdo it, the smoke might alert the defenders.

This shows the flaw in your system. A single failure means multiple failures because you have a single roll count for a group of 10, not just 1 soldier.

A roll per soldier to see if they hit, and the same for aliens. Also take into account bonuses and penalties.
Though if the RNG is bad, the results will cluster.
Also no crits unless a target is flanked or the attacker is stealthed.

The loadout for the mission to assassinate Graham had 5MIL allocated to inject all soldiers with it, and the loadout was:

Stun Weapons, most likely from Advent Stun Captain II, requires Project MELD.
Project MELD requires 1000 MELD, 100 Scientists, and 100 Engineers.

Currently we have 104 Scientists and 65 Engineers.

So at minimum, we need 20 more MELD and 35 Engineers before we can do the pre-requisite for stunners.

And that's if we don't also need to research Stun Captain Armor.

I say we should give baris the tes rifle alongside a standard sidearm.

Its just one gun on the team and we might be able to capture a full turret.

Baris is Infantry, while Yousef is a Scout.

Scouts have high movement and are stealthy.
Cavalry can sneak into position and while GOLIATH-2 and one of the assaults has the attention of the enemy, he can stun any Mechs and Turrets there are.
