Which edition of D&D had the best cover art?
Cover art thread.
>This is why parents thought D&D was Satanic
AT LEAST post the full high rez!
This style always bugged me. It's more in how horribly uncomfortable the armor looks than it is the skimpiness, like it wasn't even designed to resemble armor. Not to mention the extra fiddly spikes and shit on everything and how intensely Aryan everyone looks, even when they clearly aren't supposed to be.
Also the monster designs feel like someone took a shit on a chinese knock-off toy, which I think is how we got some D&D monsters in the first place.
Make me, fat boy.
I think he means that they have a bleached hair, heavy makeup Hollywood actor look, not rough or dirty or integrated into their environment in a way that seems to resonate with idea of dungeon crawling.
And maybe you need to reexamine the fact that your political stance is infantile and derived from your bitterness about your crush rejecting you. Grow a pair.
It's not the skin. It's how pretty much everyone has the same face (the earlier pic related), and if they're white women the only real difference is whether or not they have gaunt cheeks, the go-to for turning Mannish Aryan Sameface evil.
It just seems overdone and like they just picked one ethnic group to overuse into the ground until everyone drew the same person and made it distasteful via oversaturation, like what tumblr does with "vague brown person with a mix of European and Indian features".
PS: I bet you masturbate to my lingerie-armor white mage
>doesn't like an illustrators style because it looks like their characters are pulled from idealistic nazi propaganda posters where everyone is clean and beautiful and angelic
How is this >>44710684
the same "Aryan" (I don't think you know the meaning of that word) look as pic related?
It's glam rock. I guess you've never looked at the covers of any scifi/fantasy novels, RPGs, rock albums or ads from the 1980s. *Everything* had that style in those days, even people on the street.
Go to sleep, it's your nap time, millennial crack babies.
this is good art for people who are not indoctrinated
just some good art for the non-indoctrinated freethinkers out there
>*Everything* had that style in those days, even people on the street.
I remember hating it then, too.
Don't pretend someone's young just because your outdated fashion is recognized for being as ugly as it was when it came around.
Hey guys! Look, it's a Nazi Aryan poster!
Everything that has white people in it is Nazi Aryans!
More lovely Clyde Caldwell art incoming.
>is that a fucking armored rhino-horse?
>is that a house kicking the shit out of a fighter?
Was this ever a cover? If so, it's glorious...ly bad.
Well it's kind of funny how she's staring off into the distance with a blank look, like she's thinking "Should I go with the lavender wall color or the eggshell white for the second bathroom?"
You want to see bad? Below the bekt move here, but it is what it is.
planescape 2nd AD&D had some great covers.
