Yeah. I saw some of Duke's spagetthi code.
Guess they'll be busy for a while.
Not that I'm knocking his work on the game, just saying...

Yeah... I'm not convinced they're actually doing anything other than hyping up for a patreon. But then I'm cynical.

It sure as hell doesn't take this long to "clean" the code up if it's done at the rate they say they're doing it.

Eh. Cleaning code usually means you end up rewriting most of it for the sake or architecture and versatility unless you are on a deadline and have to make do with a hack.
Thing is, from what I've seen Duke didn't even know how to use arrays and did endless if conditions instead for all the tables in the game. Cleaning that up alone would take weeks, even if you are familiar with the code...

But I was always a grumpy coderand not a good one either...

Yeah, I get that, and the codebase is bad, for sure. I am pretty skeptical on the whole though, given their timeline and drip-fed updates.
