General disussion about rules, plot and ideas
I would let any character turn to cannibalism in a pinch.
I would not allow a concept built on such an obvious fetish. If the player designs a clan that incorporates cannibalism into a non fetishy culture, that's fine.
Because the question has a flawed premise.
Degenesis is a setting. Like any setting you can play published adventures, or make your own. With the game just out, there are few available. There is The Tumbler tutorial and a book is being made. Also this isn't Hasbro where you are made to buy splat after splat just so you can play more than a hand full of builds.
The whole game is linked. Take the time and look at it.
But you using words like cyoa instead of just saying setting implies that you are the cancer and should lurk moar.
Nah, cell service is still live. Clover's a good app.
So, how big is Chernobog supposed to be? The description of the other Marauder made them sound human-sized, but Chernobog's never really pinned down besides being bigger than the average human. Just trying to get mental pictures here, I've just gotten to the section on Balkhan.
Yeah all the rules questions have been answered.
And yet for some reason I'm still not sure if the passive defenses in the back of the book include that +1 you seem to get by not being in a coma, or not.
>But you using words like cyoa instead of just saying setting implies that you are the cancer and should lurk moar.
Nah, you being a reactionary twat means you're the cancer, dude's fucking asking a question about an rpg plenty of people have never heard of, this isn't exactly D&D
I don't know if this is for The Killing Game or a new spitalian cultbook, but dayum it looks awesome
Don't know if this is a pic of THE Spital or one of their outposts, but either way, it's magnificent
well I don't know if you've been to your weekly dick checkup, Herr Klein Pimmel
It should be Spital. With that perspective it usually is.
>peasant parents working in the field, and letting their kid slack off doodling in the dirt with a stick
>not making him help them
>only tilling a tiny patch of dirt that would barely be enough to make a vegetable garden, let alone a proper farm
>no farm animals in sight
Epic failures as peasants, would not survive the winter.
I'm working on a scrapper town on the Franka coast. A dirty little hamlet covered in oil, rusted metal, and a few hovels. One of the scrappers is trying to fidangle a minisub so he can go off into the coast to recover debries from the ocean floor. Maybe have a chronicler there studying the strange markings on the ships off the coast. But that's all I got so far.
Gamefinder thread has been taken over by a bunch of raging manchildren so i hope you all won't mind if i post this here. If anyone is available Tuesday nights around 7pm EST I'm looking for players!
anon form last thread that wanted a backstabby party...looks like I got my wish. My party as of now consists of the following:
A borcan machinist.
A borcan Vulture(this parts important)
And a...African Hondo...
>Taken over by raging manchildren
Yeah no kidding, more so than usual.
>lel lel lel degenesis you mean that game where niggers are master race and whtie man slaves?!? lol subhuman slav germans
It could be interesting development to have him find out scourgers are just people. Or the scourger could be crazy and eat some babies. Fear is the best at keeping people in line after all.
Because you won't live long enough to do so
Eh we'll see though the way I'm introducing him into all this is that he's looking for some slaves that managed to get out of Africa and had fled to Praha. The Vulture is his local connection and the Scrapper is hired on as a 'guide'. Thy'll be working for a Neolybian or maybe a high ranking apocalyptic who's motives aren't entirely on the level.
well then how about those op as fuck african shits
why do they have the manufacturing that they have?
Really why does anyone has as little as they have in comparison? ot
s been 500 uears shince the apoc. we shouldn't still be p[easant farming.
I see it as partially the africans fault combined with the primer itself. The africans united and raided a broken europe for whatever they could take, leaving africa with a pretty strong base compared to a now broken europe. Its a bit ironic
The aids epidemic explained why so many africans moved north trying to get better access to a vaccine and why the faction exists largely as a unified front despite the differences we know exist culturally. They didn't start invading europe until after the spaniards invaded north africa , but nice nitpicking faggot
The virus spread. Whole villages fled from the disease,
floating down the Niger on rafts or braving the Sahara.
Anything to get away from the Hive!
They did not forget who had caused all this. The first
wave of infections had started in a port where white men’s
ships were anchored, and supposedly there was already a
cure against Hive in Europe. It all fit so well.
Chaos and anarchy soared. 50% of the population
suddenly seemed to carry a Kalashnikov. When a rumor
spread that hundreds of thousands of shots with the cure
had been dispensed to the military from ships on the
Mediterranean coast, the people could not be held back.
Morocco, Algeria, Libya, and Egypt’s defenses could not
cope with the rush and dodged the army of dispossessed
jeeps, rusty transporters, and Russian machine guns.
Countries were smashed. There was war in the streets. But
there was no serum. Misinformation. Mass hysteria. Hope
blew away, only to finally focus on Europe as through a
A grotesque fleet of floating coffins, rafts, torn free
bateau bridges, and overloaded cutters risked crossing the
Mediterranean to demand a cure from Europe.
Really nigger? that seems a hell of a lot like a blame whitey invasion to me.
preview pic of the pimer's doing in the Atlantic. Though I don't know if this is a psychonaut or the maritime equivalent of a leperos. Though Marko said that the atlantic primer operates in a parasitic way, so it's probably the latter. Makes you wonder how the Psychonauts will look like, especially since they are tied to the sacral chacra. Maybe something like abysmal mermaids who look like a biologists' nightmare.
So anyone made anything interesting with the system itself? I'm currently working on a homebrew for the setting that's focused more on the survival aspect of things and is replacing things like spore infestation for hunger/thirst.
Wait. what? You want to play the same setting, but without spore infestation? I have nothing against a hunger/thirst system if you want to play it like that, but sepsis is a rather essential part of the setting, especially because it helps in survival situations and opens the gate for decisions like "don't die of cold or hunger but spread the sepsis".
If you don't want to deal with spores, consider setting it in Africa, maybe? Perhaps something like a 19th-century style jungle exploration to the edge of the psychovores, where the challenge is not so much finding food and drink, but rather finding any that's not poisonous or claimed by dangerous flora and fauna.
Given the chakra's affinity to reproduction and creativity, I could see the whole thing as a rather rapidly mutating deal, not entirely unlike the biokinetics. Jump on a host, mutate the shit out of it, then fly apart into several new parasites to seek out new hosts.
Though the combination of tentacles and the sex-chakra could also go way into magical realm really quickly.
Would be interesting to know what their equivalent of burn is. Corals? Algae?
Also, considering that burners feel "heat" and "boundless energy" from the chakra points of the corresponding kind, does that mean that you'll get off like never before? Or fly into a breeding rage?
Underwater fungi do exist, so it might just be the regular cusps except you have to dry them first. Though yeah, scraping of some coral and snorting that might work as well, though corals don't seem to be particularly common in that corner of the world.
The corresponding emotion of the chakra is joy, so I'd expect the effect to be some combination of ecstasy and viagra. You bet the Apocalyptics will be all over that shit.
Don't forget the things that wash up on the coast of Aquitaine. Maybe the psychonauts are glibbery, human-sized foetuses who command microorganisms like plancton so they that they form the tentacles.
I think you misunderstood me, I'm not using the same setting just the mechanics and the culture/concept/cult system for character generation though with all three modded to fit what I intend for the world. It will not be post-eschaton earth. Hell it won't even be on Earth.
This is a sketch of what a fatum can look like. Reminds me of the Capra Demon...
hmm... an Arianoi with two gendos? gotta work out a character concept
The answer is, as helpfully as ever, that no one knows precisely. What we do know:
-"Anubianism" is a kind of of innate biological attribute that can be tested for
-It doesn't appear to be strictly (or even at all) hereditary, but still clusters around Cairo
-It somehow modifies their physiology in a way that gives them unique abilities like metabolising poisonous fruit into a healing agent.
-Their physiological differences and abilities become more pronounced over time
-They have some kind of innate connection to the Psychovores
-They also seem to have a certain connection to the Sepsis
One of the more common theories is that Psychovores are the end result of the Primer interacting with a certain brand of nanomachines that were developed in Cairo. If you go by that theory, it is quite possibly that the Anubians are people that are somehow receptive to those nanomachines, and are slowly being modified to interface with the Psychovores.
>-Their physiological differences and abilities become more pronounced over time
Become more pronounced with each nanite-canopy they eat
They are nano-infused, it's what let's them do things with the psychovores
Hey now, for all we now the white stuff they ingest might just be an exclusively Primer-made product of the Psychovore strain, without any nanomachines.
It's probably nanomachines
(you knew this would come, didn't you?)
Not just any katunuh, a katana made from nanomachines. I was also surprised at first but then I reread the description of the horn and it's understandable.
There is a controversy among scientists. But not using it is only 99.8% safe. They're all terrorists anyway. We have to build a wall! Only 3% fat. Buy now and no payments until Christmas.
I really hope its not though I imagine you're right. It seems so lazy. Also, the Pyschovore didn't erupt from Cairo it started from some ancient impact site near the congo or something. Its just really strong, in Cairo and there.
I think I read somewhere that RG might have some labs south of Cairo. So i Could see the Physcvore combining with any agents in those labs. As for the 8, are they the same 8 talked about by the Scourgers ?
The Anubis Syndicate was a thing since the ancient pharaos. If I'm not mistaken their goal is to achieve immortality, and it's speculated that they already had contact with the primer thousands of years ago, hence the sicle swords and their effectiveness against the primerborn. Could explain how the syndicate was able to manipulate the psychovores: because they were already studying the primer for countless generations.
