Obscure games thread?
Obscure games thread.
Mr. Mosquito 2 [JP]
I might be wrong. But when i was younger there was a demo for a game which i think is the predecessor to this one.
You play as a mosquito and try to suck the blood from unsuspecting victims and not get caught/squished in the process.
Flying around and landing on people and shit.
take a class.
read start reading VNs after a year or so in the class to better develop your japanese.
maybe watch unsubbed japanese shows like gaki no tsuaki or gamecenter cx so you are better at specific pronounciations.
You guys should check out Magic Pengel and Graffiti Kingdom. You get to draw your own monsters and have them fight other monsters. I made a pig with a tengu mask. Both are for ps2
Not sure if you are being serious or sarcastic?
Another one I just thought of is Robot Alchemic Drive.
Anyways, I looked around and couldn't find a Graffiti Kingdom torrent that works so I could rip my disc and upload it somewhere if anyone is interested?
Magic Pengel is the best! The drawings just come out funnier than Graffiti Kingdom.
The game basically plays like rock paper scissors. But fuck that just get more colors and more parts and draw
heh, i remember the first game for the bathtub level where you fly around the naked daughter.
ps, how play this? i'm guessing a chipped ps2 but if anybody else does it differently let's have it.
where can i buy swapmagic anymore? the company that made them doesnt anymore and i can never find them on ebay. and i want to play the english trans of FFXII zodiac job system AKA no other way of doing it.
game called lsd. Made by a japanese dude who spent a period of his life journaling life under lsd. Ive gotten really into it, and ive only met one person whos heard of it. Not my torrent, and I didnt get my copy from this one, but it has the highest seeds and seems alright.
Wow I'm surprised you have this. I actually do know about this, and I've played it a few times. Used to watch a guy who made these wacky reactions to the game. It wasn't scary, it just made you paranoid about everything.
Yo bros! those looking for the links to torrent the first and second Mr.Mosquito, look no further!

Salvaged from this older /t/ thread: http://boards.4chan.org/t/res/547043
You have our thanks Op!
>Salvaged from this older /t/ thread: →
so your thread did not work out, huh?
This game is fucking brilliant in my opinion. Look it up if you don't know it-
Don't know how well (or even if) it's seeded-
You can download it directly from here (Lots and lots of pure win on this site)-
Don't know how well it plays on a DC emu, only played in on an actual Dreamcast.
I FUCKING LOVE MY DREAMCAST!
you have no idea how long I've been trying to remember this game so I could torrent it; I remember seeing the first one in a gaming mag fucking YEARS ago- I desperately wanted to play the scenes where the girl was changing her clothes and taking a bath. hoo yes. Redemption is due.
>at risk of sounding n00b
>shit was made for '95
>won't run on 7
>tried compatibility mode
>tried mounting disk
>checked read only
If I figure it out I'll let you know. There has to be a way to run this. These are the only two torrents on TPB.
>brb, same problem with another game.
Oregon Trail! 2nd edition! Do you realize that this game isn't even on TPB? This was one of the most influential games of my childhood. This and Nanosaur were the image of computing in elementary school. But alas...
>The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher.
here it is anyway: http://bitsnoop.com/oregon-trail-ii-www-iptorrents-com-q2746487.html
I own a copy of Magic Pengel, but I wouldn't know how to go about ripping the ISO/uploading it.
It's a strange game and it sounds cool on paper. In reality it's a little clunky and plays like tictactoe. If that doesn't stop you, and you want to walk me through setting it up, I can.
tape down the button that the lid presses when it closes, then learn the legit game swapping sequence? it only took like a dozen tries for me to get the timing down, but it worked every time once I did.
Also I'm surprised no one came on here to ironically mention this:
> Robot Alchemic Drive.
After seeing Pacific Rim.. I now need to find my copy
Sauce? In return a torrent of Nichijou Uchuujin, a psp game based on the show Nichijou, though it is unfortunately in japanese and runs badly on emulators. (also just me seeding it so if too many people hop on it'll be slow as hell, I get like 6 up)
Actually, it's based on a female's daily dream journal. I happen to have a scan of the book, which has illustrations.
The game is pretty interesting, and you can know where you're going if you know what your doing. the game ends after 365 days.
or rather it was the dream journal of the current CEO of tri-ace. The guy interpreted it and made it a reality after making the trainwreck that was Eastern Mind, which /vr/ finally managed to get a rip of
I've been trying to find a game called "flower, sun and rain: endless park" for the DS, but no luck. I can see six torrents on various sites but the best one only goes up to something like 60% before stopping.
(vc: bjectoi sauce)
Prince Interactive - 1994
If you like Myst / The 7th Guest, try this one!
My mother was a big Prince fan back in the days, she had a original copy, sadly it's lost..
I played this game an awful lot as a boy!
Thats nothing, the creator of LSD, osamu sato, has made two more even more rare games. One of them was thought to not have a single copy in existence, until last month when /vr/ managed to buy one.
Oh my god, I love you.
This thread lives on?
Also I own both Magic Pengel and Graffiti Kingdom. They're getting rare now-a-days, huh? I see ISOs of them online, however. I don't think I need to rip them.
Dark Seed 1 and 2
It's a weird point and click adventure with some borderline alien porn and some pretty gruesome scenes in it. The second game is better than the first, which has many flaws.
Also, a bit of a request here
I used to play this super good game called Harvester, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Could an anon help me out?
I have a physical copy of this game. I fucking love it. Its still one of my all time fav games. The game play is awesome and the story is just- OH GOD YOU JUST PUNCHED A ROBOT THROUGH A APARTMENT BUILDING!
Its awesome, it needs a next gen reboot.
/r/ing this one old ass zombie game where you play as a redneck and kill zombies. I cannot remember the title of it for the life of me but if anyone has anything that sounds like it pls. I know its not Redneck Rampage though, which is also a good game.
Lost Eden was one of the weirdest prehistoric game rides ever.
It was such a very disturbingly scary and also violent game yet also at times just so weird mainly because of some character designs.
You live in a world where Dinosaurs are able to speak and think and coexist with humans. Meateater dinosaurs basically built up a big tyranny and you move on the map trying to avoid those nasty monsters while searching for clues how to save the world.
The story starts pretty early off with you talking to some guy who had his tongue cut out. Really nasty game.
One of a kind comedy adventure game.
Easily comparable to games like: Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle or The Secret of Monkey Island
Doesn't shy away from lots of animations and cutscenes.
The first time I played the game I think I was 10 years old and I got stuck forever after each progress I made. When I replayed the game later on when I was much older I didn't get stuck anymore.
I did get eaten by all sorts of dinosaurs though. Sea dinosaurs, raptors, rexes, the whole line-up
Simulador Turismo Carretera, a racing simulator based on the most popular argentine race series, which has a car park of about 50 tube chasis with bodywork inspired on the last big american cars that came to Argentina (Ford Faclon, Chevy Nova 2, Ika Torino/AMC Rambler, Dodge Polara GTX)
Here's some gameplay compared to real life, pretty acurate circuits http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9iNOkmKVJ1g
Ha I replayed toonstruck a few months ago to try to beat it. When I was a kid I could never open the treasure chest in that stupid fish bowl toward the end of the game. The damn fish always managed to beat me back to the bowl. Turns out it must have been because my computer at the time was shit. When I tried it this play through I got it with no problems, it was so easy. Fucking laggy ass old computers. This game had been nagging at the back of my brain for like 15 years because of that shit
Obsucre game from PS1 Days...
Porno style game... had it on a chipped PS1--- cant remember the name.... any help?
There was a "Virtual Sex with Jenna" game on the PS1 called Virtual Sex -- It was a homebrew title but has since been lost into the obscurity of the internet and I remember it having some fucking hilarious Russian animation in it.
Here's a link to the 2nd game.
Can't believe none of yall negros mentioned Jurassic Park Trespasser
You can also get community patches for the game here: http://www.trescom.org/
there's also a game called Cobra Mission for DOS, now freeware.
it's a pokemon-ish style, maybe the great-grandfather of the japanese game, with nice action and some fap stuff.
Oh, fuck yes. This is the game H.R. Giger helped design, in case someone was wondering, so you know it's some serious shit. Great stuff, solid point-and-click. Reminds me of being 11, browsing through abandonware and playing Lucas Arts adventures all day.
Fistful of Boomstick wasn't first person, though. I'm pretty sure dude was talking about Road to Fiddler's Green. Which is a shame 'cause that game didn't age well. (Not that it was very good to begin with.)
That said I sank a shitton of hours into LotD when I was younger, just 'cause watching zambies' heads explode and playing Invasion multiplayer never got old for me
It's actually on Steam now would you believe, really didn't expect to see it pop up one day.
only $6.99 too.
The kind of weird story I love, and those FMV cut-scenes are brilliant.
Can Presto move up in here?
>me, be 8-9ish, play this, some of the best wasted hours of my life
obscure gorey point and click game
Dude, I played the entire series. Even the last one with the Chameleon suit. Fucking loved those games. You couldn't die in the last game, which kinda sucked since all the weird endings you could get if you fucked up were very entertaining. Like getting eaten by a dinosaur, or somehow managing to beat it without killing anyone.
Great game, but the game's compatibility(even from system to system, depending on hardware) sucked......dunno if it still does, but it was a pain to even try to get it working years back when I was on 98.
LotD was ok, but it had it's flaws: Low levels of interactivity, very linear, short SP campaign, etc.
(BTW it has a leaked sequel. The devs basically gave up making it and now the beta is floating around the net.)
Like I said the only thing that kept me playing was the multiplayer. SP campaign wasn't too bad but was pretty uninteresting; I honestly think I never got past the sniper level where you had to protect Otis.
>(BTW it has a leaked sequel...)
Bullshit, really? I searched and couldn't find it. You wouldn't happen to have a source on that would you?
I've waited this reply for 4 monthes.
I am now at peace with the world.
I just dont want this thread to die
Here's some weird point&click horror game called The Cat Lady
Okay can anyone help me find a PSX game?
I don't remember it very well, it was a tile based strategy game where you'd control some gundam like robots, and inbetween missions you could talk to your team and explore the ship(?).
The main character had green hair and had a black cat.
