So i've been on a Mike Tyson marathon on YT. Was he really the hardest hitter of his time? Some of those KO's looks like they could fucking murder a person.
Has anyone surpassed him in modern days? Is modern boxing worth getting into if Tyson style fights is what interests me? I am completely new to boxing.

Mike Tyson is a legend of boxing, a truly great fighter and hugely entertaining, BUT, he's incredibly overrated. He's not even a Top 10 Heavyweight. His best win is a damn near 40 year old Larry Holmes for fucks sake. He got whooped by a complete journeyman.

I don't think there's been a fighter since that has had such a connection with fans and was so iconic. He's the Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon of boxing.

If you just want to watch clean one punch KO's, those are somewhat rare in a way, just watch compilations on Youtube. But if you like brawling and violence, there's a lot of good fighters around. Anthony Joshua is now the best heavyweight of the day and hits like a fucking train, watch his fights with Klitschko and Whyte. Outside of that, Gennady Golovkin, Vasyl Lomachenko and Canelo Alvarez are very entertaining and of high quality. But there's only one Mike Tyson, if there was another you'd know about it.
