How would Golovkin have been able to KO Danny Jacobs? He was on his bicycle all night avoiding and throwing slapping shots to the guard and getting out. Seldom did he sit on a punch. Golovkin outlanded him and knocked him down. Jacobs flaunted and roared as if he was some mythical beast towering over his prey. The jabs Golovkin were landing caused Jacobs to be off balanced and had to reset all night. Golovkin walked through everything Danny threw. I'm just confused about this "Golovkin was exposed" nonsense. He fights the top guy in the division and soundly beats him but because he didn't KO him he's over the hill and exposed. Utter nonsense.

what do you think of Gvozdyk?

does he have a chance to get a belt?
>>
>>77703888
>Do you prefer a certain weightclass?
Atm the lower weight classes are the best. I like them more because there is more action, altough there might be less ko's.
>Which is the most and which the least interesting to watch and why?
Welterweight and Middleweight have been historically the most filled with talents.
Most interesting right now: welterweight, superfeatherweight, superflyweight
Least interesting: anything below flyweight, bantamweight, supermiddleweight.

>Do you prefer a certain weightclass?
Heavyweight boxing is unlike any other weightclass. It's has the greatest history and lore, and the most engaging and entertaining bouts. Outside of that, Middleweight, and Welterweight.
>Which is the most and which the least interesting to watch and why?
Heavyweight is the most exciting as any legitimate punch can finish the fight, especially nowadays where the average heavy is 230lb+. Least entertaining is probably the lower divisions due to the lack of power, although this can be compensated by the fact they throw lots of punches.
>Do you box irl?
I used to.

It's the biggest PPV fight of all time going into fight week and Crawford's fight against Indongo is nothing like Hopkins vs De La Hoya. Indongo came out of nowhere and it being for the 'undisputed' title is a happy coincidence. Everybody has a good idea of what is going to happen.
>>
Anyone prefer the lighter weight divisions? I prefer feather to super light weights. The skill and the speed of manlets gets me hyped.
>>
>>77704752
>Julian Jackson was never a good boxer like GGG, also had a shite chin

Wait what, are you shitting on The Hawk or are you praising GGG, or both?
If Golovkin is such a great boxer why are you giving him shit for beating Jacobs, the #2 MW in the division, by decision?

And you're just spewing shit when you say Jackson isn't a great boxer. He had great fundamentals and wasn't very weak in any one area aside from his chin, and later his eyesight.
He had a great jab, one of the better body punchers in middleweight boxing history, and had devastating KO power and despite that was still patient in the ring and didn't rely on his power to get him through unlike other heavy hitters in boxing.
>>
>>77705459
It's best not to bother arguing with idiots. Most people that endlessly praise Golovkin are people that are new to the sport of boxing.
>>

>>
>>77705596
He should get out boxed but you never know. He's at 20 to get a KO on betfair exchange at the moment
>>
>>77705596
I've been thinking dingbingo might be the smart bet too.
>>
>>77705539
I don't even know if he's praising Golovkin, I think he's just being contrarian.
He's shitting on GGG for not being able to KO Jacobs and then shits on Hawk for "not being a good boxer" the moment he gets brought up and instead decides to give Golovkin a quick line of praise.
>>
>>77705712
He's not going to be able to use his reach for 12 rounds like he did against Ricky Burns, Crawford is too good for that but he's the bigger man and knocked out Troyanovsky so he'll be in the fight. The odds imply Indongo has less chance than McGregor. But sometimes things happen, Rahman knocked out Lennox Lewis

Mike Tyson has always had bad feet, so Conor would easily win in a street fight/MMA fight.

>>77711237
It doesn't end here, if Floyd can force the stoppage then it switches to "a boxer couldn't do it in the octagon" the wider story is boxing trying to jostle with MMA for young viewers in America. When Oscar and Bob thumb their nose at it it's self serving, if they were in on it they wouldn't give a fuck. For MMA fighters these fights make sense because they can't truly capitalise in MMA, we will get a Boxing/MMA 2 parter soon.

Yes. Joshua looked so dominant against that 41 year old who was on the verge of retiring.

I mean, Fury was in Wlad's backyard and never even came close to losing. While Joshua was knocked down and almost lost in the cards in AJ's hometown.

But I guess Wlad just happened to decide that day he didn't feel like fighting that day.

I mean, reigning undefeated for so long, I thought that might require a little more drive, but yeah, I guess he didn't feel like it that day.

He probably just "forgot" how to throw punches.

That makes sense.

Certainly had nothing to do with Fury's feinting and upper body movement.

He's young and can get back in top physical form via PEDs.

The question is discipline/ambition, which could be fine or could not be. He's been banned, so we really can't say he's just been unmotivated.

Because he's fucking banned.

How the fuck could he be motivated to get into shape if he's still banned for god knows how long.

He only starts getting into shape when his trial date is approaching and he thinks he'll be allowed to fight again.

Then your shit government postpones things again or whatever and Fury goes back to being fat.
>>
>>77712153

Fury is like a snake. He can adapt, make himself awkward. It's like watching a snake. Someone like AJ will always go back to basics which for him is street fighter. Fury is up there with Mayweather. Klitschko used to be. Its boring to watch but it wins. Watch the AJ finish against Klit again. The actual close of the fight AJ doesnt land a punch. Klit has his eyes closed and defends through instinct, every punch. The brute force carried him through but Klitchsko's defence at the end of that was amazing

I'm getting flashbacks to when I tried to explain how ratio pot odds in poker work to people of YouTube. So many people are completely clueless and don't even understand why.

I'm not a betting man (though I do play poker), but I'm seeing 1/4 for a Floyd victory by any method. Is there any reason not to jump at this? It seems like easy money.

Heard that there's a rematch clause if McGregor wins. Just wonder if there could be anything dodgy happening. Floyd losing would be a huge deal and the hype would probably make a rematch an even bigger fight, worth even more money. I'm only gonna bet if there's no chance of foul play.

Good advice. Saw 1/6 the other day and wasn't interested, but these odds are getting more attractive every day.

Last time I checked, McGregor was something like 33/1. I get that they have the lighter gloves and there was the Malignaggi knockdown, but how did he get to 3/1 so fast?
>>
>>77713241
You don't get 15/1 in a 2 horse race, books with over round come to about 105%. Mayweather was priced at 1.05 before it was confirmed and is now 1.29 best price. Conor's odds imply he has 23% chance which he definitely doesn't

Mayweather has a great chin and McGregor's power is overrated, he doesn't even have a puncher's chance. His chances of winning are slightly greater than 0.0000000% because Mayweather could theoretically get some sort f freak injury like tearing both Achilles tendons during the fight.

seriously though what are you going to do when Floyd takes an obvious dive?

McGregor wants his legacy and he will buy it if it's for sell.

yes
>>
>>77713657
yes but he's still going to lose
>>
>>77713644
A lot of people say he is but, no. he is not. Indongo knocked out a hyped up prospect and a past his best, never that great champion.

>>

I don't like his odds against Thurman, Spence, or Porter.
Garcia is a coin toss and Holt is keeping The WBO belt warm for Crawford.
Not sure if Brook is moving up or if Khan is coming back. Everyone else at welterweight is food for Crawford.
>>
>>77713458
Considering most EEs who are hyped do well on the world level I'll consider that a compliment.
>>
I wish boxing belts made sense, or had any value.
How can you have multiple belts, with multiple belt holders in the same weight class?

Crawford sure is making a lot of this hometown advantage. I wonder if it will go to his head?

It makes perfect sense. Having 4 major belts is retarded but so is the inability to understand that a world title doesn't mean you are the champion.

>>
>>77713688

Because there's no way to get the various alphabelt organizations to fuck off.

And yeah, it's killing boxing because the best of the best each get their own belts and then refuse to fight each other, and it kills all the prestige of having a belt anyway.

The WBSS maybe has a chance to fix things if people start only acknowledging WBSS champions.
