N'dam is one of the chinniest cunts in all of boxing. Am backing him in this one though, Murata is no Lemieux power wise and among his losses he's put in some good defensive performances too, it's a bit of a simplistic view to say he'll obviously be down multiple times in the fight.

I mean he's only just won his title, makes sense he wants to milk it for a while. He'll cash out against someone who pays eventually though I'm sure. The WBO belt will probably be won by a weaker fighter soon too since Inoue is talking about moving to bantamweight, insane that we might be in a position that 2 of the champions are relatively weak when the WBC rankings are as stacked as this.

>>
>>75857541

Yes. Brook vs Golovkin sold very well around 650k and it's in front of 32,000 with a good undercard fight.
>>
>>75857541

I wish Brook had of moved up in weight, its gonna be tough seeing him get schooled. At least he has the Kahn money to fall back on I guess.

I think he'll face Casimero next. Hearn likes to bring foreign opponents back to the UK if they've had a good showing here in the past

>for some reason there are multiple excuses he can't fight Inoue/Cuadras/Estrada/Gonzalez

The "excuses" are that Gonzalez, Srisaket, Cuadras and Estrada are tied up with each other and Inoue is leaving the division
>>
>>75857063
Pretty sure the Brit in Spain is now the Brit in Greece
>>
>>75857908
>The "excuses" are that Gonzalez, Srisaket, Cuadras and Estrada are tied up with each other

That will only be the case for one fight. I bet he doesn't fight them once they become more available either.
>>
>>75857920
No the Brit in spain never wrote long posts like that and he knows a lot more about obscure historical shit the greek never brings up.
>>
>>75857952
>That will only be the case for one fight. I bet he doesn't fight them once they become more available either.

The winners will face each other too. The WBC has ordered it

And honestly I think Gonzalez only has a few fights left in him. Estrada's hand could re-emerge as a problem too
>>
>>75857964
>The winners will face each other too.

So there'll be 2 losers. Particularly if Cuadras loses to Estrada that fight would be a great statement for Yafai. Won't happen though.
>>
>>75857974
Yeah probably not. I doubt Cuadras's management would want to face Yafai immediately after a loss to Estrada either

I'm hopeful that we'll get Yafai vs Rungvisai at some point though and I'm pretty confident that Yafai would win quite comfortably
>>
>>75857997
>I'm pretty confident that Yafai would win quite comfortably

Hard to know, Yafai's chin has never been tested in the way it would be against him. He's never fought anywhere near that level of power.
>>

>>
>>75858082
>SSR

Good way of referring to him Tbh. The thai guy in the Gonzalez fight thread said that in Thailand he'd be referred to as Srisaket and nobody would ever use Sor Rungvisai but SSR covers all 3 bases anyway.
>>
>>75858154
>Sugar Sor Rungvisai
>>
>>75858005
I just see the whole fight looking like the rounds in which Cuadras boxed his head off (Yafai's feet and defence in general is superior to Cuadras's)
>>
This guy comes up to you in the local fish market and hits you with his ซ้ายทะลวงไส้

>>
>>75858388
Cuadras got caught plenty though, and was at least slightly lucky the fight ended as soon as it did. Wasn't very representative which is why I picked Srisaket to beat Gonzalez at the time.

He's very old and Yafai won't fight him for a while if he beats Gonzalez again so never say never, but I find it pretty hard to favour him against someone who can drop Gonzalez.

hmmm
>>
>>75858537
Cuadras did let too many shots through and they were starting to catch up on him, but for most of the fight his footwork befuddled Srisaket, so, since Yafai has better footwork, better head movement, a tighter guard and a more cautious approach in general to Cuadras, and against Concepcion seemed to have a great engine too, I think he could play matador all night long against Srisaket's pretty crude pressure

I also picked Srisaket to beat Roman but I think he is a good style match for Yafai. Roman himself would be much more difficult as his pressure is much more intelligent, he could slip Yafai's potshots, and his handspeed and punch variation mean he'd probably land pretty frequently despite Yafai's good defence
>>
>>75858687
Which leaves the only thing left as the power which is the equaliser which is what I said originally, we've no idea what Yafai's chin is like really. Good fight I'd be interested in in any case. Certainly have no plans to watch him again until he fights someone of that level, his style is like watching paint dry, very precise and technically competent, but boring as all fuck as a result. Am too much of a casual for it really.

Is this the one with the British cage fighter in?
>>
>>75860829
There definitely is. For all his skill he perfected the art of never fighting someone at their peak or dragging them into weights they weren't suited to.

He can be appreciated despite all that because he's a genuine ATG, he just didn't do all he could to prove it. A couple of losses taking real risks would have enhanced his legacy not diminished it.
>>
>>75860869
Doesn't seem to be, more just seems to be a gritty drama about an old guy who wants one more fight against the young gun. Looks good Tbh, will go see it if it's about, can't see any showings yet.

>>75860870

>a couple of losses taking real risks would have enhanced his legacy not diminished it.

Nah, FMJ built his brand off being undefeated and selling that to casuals. Without his 0 he wouldn't have been half as popular.
>>
>>75860919
Pacquiao, De La Hoya and Mosley were all too old. Judah was coming off the back of a loss, Hatton, Marquez and Canelo were all at the wrong weight and he arguably lost against Castillo and Maidana. Cotto was arguably past his peak too.

There are too many asterisks not to be partially negative about Floyd.
>>

>>
>>75861171
>>75861223

at least he's in shape and seems to take the sport seriously, which puts him above 90% of short notice opponents
>>
>>75861248
Floyd never had a problem getting guys to fight at weight divisions they aren't in but he never did it himself. If it was just one or two then you'd be able to look over it but it seems like every second fight with him there's some asterisk as to why it's not as impressive as it looks. Compare that to someone like Ray Leonard or Hagler where you get very little of that.

Floyd is an ATG don't get me wrong, but a massive disappointment too.

Jerry Jones wants to host Canelo vs GGG . However it's highly doubtful that they fight there.

How does Las Vegas make more money than a 100,000 seat stadium? Tax exemptions?
>>
>>75861546
I've heard that holding it in a stadium you pay theme holding it somewhere like las Vegas you can end up getting paid to hold it because the casinos know they'll make more money from the people visiting

>>
>>75861623
Oscar said That Jerry Jones has been begging him since last year to host the fight there, and Oscar told him to show him the money. I don't think he'd have to pay for a stadium. I think it's just that most of the seats there will be cheap as fuck. Same thing if they hold it in Estadio Azteca, where Chavez Sr filled it up to 130, but most likely made the same or less it would have in Vegas since they aren't making USD

>The fucking chava, too fast to furious.

>>
>>75865678

well lots of boxers come from backgrounds where they are probably surrounded by that life

Also, Im sure its easy to be talented and think you are just gifted and don't need to train. Im sure that works until a certain level.

Being a pro boxer also probably comes with lots of distractions. Everyone wants to party with the guy who just sparked out his opponent the night before.
>>
>>75865381

talent only took him so far. Now he is getting beat by Eggington who has way less natural talent, but evidently takes the sport more seriously.

Also, not being able to compete in the olympics because you can't make weight would be pretty devastating, and definitely would not be worth a few nights partying.
>>
>>75865678
>>75865803

Also, I'm sure its super easy to be disciplined in camp for a few fights.

But it takes more than a few fights to start getting real pay days. Im sure lots of these guys get though a bunch of fights and get impatient waiting for big fights and big pay days, and decide fuck it.

It's only a "huge possibility" if you buy into the GGG slump. I think he was half arsing against brook and making sure he won without getting hurt vs jacobs.

Now that he's got his big pay day, I think we're going to see GGG go absolutely ham against canelo. So the only way this goes this distance and Canelo gets the UD is if GGG is hardcore slumping

And re: lemiuex-jacobs, nah not buying that on any level. Although I'll admit the only Jacobs fight I've seen is the GGG one, and I hear that was like the best performance he's had by far. That Jacobs doesn't get touched by lemuiex

Better in pretty much every fundamental area bar power than any other boxer on the planet. Resume shouldn't matter when discussing p4p, Loma is special.

That's why it's an argument to be generally not taken seriously, the fact that it's basically an impossible argument to have is why it's such a popular one to have. I don't think it's unreasonable though to say that so far as footwork, use of lateral movement in general, punch variety and precision go there probably isn't anyone better at any weight. Whether those things would be any use at HW when you have lumps who can just KO you is another question entirely.

Fucking brutal, man.

It's far less of a mismatch, Murunaka is absolutely shite and Yafai is boring to watch even against people who are good. The fact that Warrington is limited will make that fight far more interesting and Kiko is a warrior who will come to win, will be a much better atmosphere too. Neither are good mind but the Warrington fight is better, you did make a mistake by not watching Sky for chief support tho

hasn't been found out in 400 amateur fights and not in his pro career either. You can scream Salido as much as you want, but even if you score that fight it was still Salido winning by a RD and if that fight was just a round longer he was going to get KO'd. Lomachenko will NEVER get found out unless he jumps weights at ridiculous speed. You black bois can stay mad.

True but you had guys in here saying they think he'd comfortably beat Srisaket and that he's obviously world level because of the conception performance.
