Yeah limited defender makes them hoof it randomly and lose it 9/10 times, BPD for some reason knows how to play a long ball. I guess if you have a literal halfbrain at CB you can use LD but I don't know if it'll work quite as well.

It's insanely frustrating too since CB-->opposite wing is a relatively normal pass in football, yet you never see it in this "game"

For me, Chong didn't really come on that much - ok Premiership player but no more than that. Might be different for you. Gribbin and Tuanzebe are both very good, and another one to keep an eye on is Ro-Shaun Williams, whose attributes don't look that good but is nonetheless incredible.

Ro-Shaun jumped straight into my first team squad as back up for Jones, Smalling and Tuanzebe (having sold Rojo, Bailly, Blind, etc). So with ~50 games per season all included, I managed to get him developing straight away. Once I had my squad of about 20 settled though, I would tend to send out players under 21 on loan each year unless they were very very good before that age. Angel Gomes was the only exception to that I think.

Which one of these fags do you suggest I hire as HODY? I'm thinking about getting the 2nd one since he's young and can get courses [I think the Serb's display is bugged out], but is Tactical Knowledge so important to be wary of only 2 at that skill? I also play a formation with 2 CM, AMR/AML and 2 ST but I don't think that's very relevant when it comes to the youth intake.

In FM14 the most annoying thing is that teams sell their good players AT A LOSS sometimes even just 1-2 seasons after they splashed the cash on them and have them perform decently. It's even more ridiculous when a top team sell and then re-buy a player.

And don't get me started on the managers. I'm close to winning the Eredivisie with ADO Den Haag for the first time and I keep getting offers from clubs ranging from Inter, Atletico Madrid to Club Brugge and fucking Nantes. Most insulting was when I got an offer from Heerenven [I finished above them in the last 3 seasons and have bigger budget, better players, etc] around January despite me being first place and 6 points ahead Ajax/PSV/Feyenoord. If it was summer time I would have understood that, but you'd expect that clubs go for unemployed managers as replacements mid-season.

They could start by giving AI managers/DOF/chairmen a set of "goals" in the way they acquire players and staff. Like give managers who prefer to play defensively a higher priority in finding good defenders or defensive midfielders than other positions, have clubs strive harder to not randomly sell their star players only to buy them 2 seasons later at triple price.

Right now all clubs seem to be a mishmash of players and staff cobbled up according solely on CA, PA and Reputation and thus teams have little to no distinct personalities. Beyond what was said ITT about the inflation of the AI's demands for transfer bids I don't know what was changed since my version of the game, but I think SI have plenty of ways of attempting to create a breathing world. Of course they're no magicians, but still.
