The job is Kessler's to lose at this point, and if the Browns take Kizer/Watson/Trubisky/Mahomes/Webb, it'll be Kessler vs. one of them before the season starts. Brock will probably just be the backup's backup.

And that's not to say Brock doesn't have an chance considering how fast Kessler improved since that first time he saw action in a preseason game. He went from stepping out of the back of the endzone during a play & having a disastrous looking preseason to getting 1,380 yards, a 65.6 completion percentage, and six touchdowns to just two interceptions. The guy played great for a rookie with no o-line and the only reliable receiver being a 6'6 former quarterback. If Hue can get good play out of Kessler, I'm sure he could do the same with Brock, but for now Kessler has the reins to the position.

Not to mention, Kessler will be much improved come this season...
