Yess. He'll be positioned higher when attacking and will break the defensive line to press high more often, leaving space in his back. That's why they're usually played with HBs, 3 at the back or a Libero to compensate. That said, even more conservative WBs usually do not stay in line with the rest of the defensive line (besides IWBs who cut inside to defend).

Fixed. Reputation is the biggest factor in anything and everything in FM. Which is why it's critical for me, a club in Slovenia, that these players do play: I need them to improve their rep so that I can make some money off them. It's less important if your club is in a more reputable country/league or is more reputable itself: even if the players you loan are shit, they'll still ride off your club's rep anyway and you'll get some offers.

This is the one thing missing from FM, imo. When a manager is "under pressure", the media stories should be daily. Random shit about arguments and players being unsettled, half of which isn't even true. The media in FM are fairly reasonable. I'd like to see a hardcore mode where they act like the sharks they really are.

I don't usually train some unless the players requires it. Like CBs/DMs with terrible passing, supportive strikers learning how to play some one-twos. Curls Balls is my favourite but it can only be learned through tutoring. So yeah, you have to find a player that is good enough, with good hiddens and enough known positions to tutor a lot of kids so you can teach this PPM to those youngsters. And he'll spend the last few seasons of his career doing nothing but that.

If you want a player to develop, you need high Professionalism. If you want a player to perform, you need Determination and a selection of other hiddens depending of the situation (Imp. Matches, Pressure). Hiddens also determine if the player is a shithead or not (Controversy, Loyalty, Temperament). Now you can see why Balanced is shit: there's no guaranty the player will develop one way or another. The only way to alter these is with Tutoring. If you want a player to develop, he needs playing time, good training and a good personality. Else, he'll be shit or at least won't reach his potential.
