Cousins got traded for cheap because he could be a rent-a-player. Besides that it was a great trade for NO. They lost basically nothing except Buddy.

AD + Cousins is a pretty interesting combo. Both have range, can handle, and can move well. AD can now roam more on D, which is what he's best at. He can also play the perimeter more on offense.
