Not a Seahawks fan, but this is the first retirement that's got to me in a while. He's just such a good dude.
Yeah he's got a foundation or something there and just opened up a retail store.
I'll remember him just as much for his personality as his running, those early interviews in Buffalo were gold.
I don't think that's something he'd want to do.
I could picture him being a RB coach and just showing his backs tape of him playing and saying "just do it like this" before sitting in silence for 15 minutes.
As a seahawks fan, im tired of Lynch's attitude and bs. The guys just asked him a simple question and yet, he replied with "IS YO BITCH COMING BACK ?", like really ? come on Lynch. And its funny because all other hawks fans were like "omg so funny", but if it were Cam Newton who said that my fellow Seattle fans would have been having spasm attacks and talking about how classless Cam is if he would have said that. Talk about hypocrisy.
I dont consider myself a 12th that shit is fucking stupid. Would rather much call myself a Hawks fan. Most fans who rep the "12th" are bandwagons who dont even know the goddamn sport.
>Why don't you start a fucking petition about it?
Its pointless desu, was just expressing my feelings about Lynch, hes done a lot of great things for Seattle and his city but im just tired of him desu. He will pass the torch to Rawls.
lol i feel you though bro. Marshaw lynch is a dick but hes a good guy as well. He doesnt give a single shit about media. We all know hes a good guy considering where he came from
oh fuck off
you are the same type of fan as that one lady who wrote into a local paper complaining about Cam
Beast is Based
>tfw no more beast mode
I hope he gets into the hall of fame
and raises the flag once even though it seems he hated his last few years here.
great, another "us12" tier post that will be capped and reposted for years to come
Nope, Wa fag who loves seattle that is all.
Have no idea what you're talking about senpai
Fuck no im not. And that lady was fucking stupid for that.
oh fuck off. You guys know its true.
>tfw you root against a guy for the majority of his career
>tfw you spent tons of games greentexting his name on /sp/
>tfw you feel nothing but elation when his team loses
>tfw he's retiring now
>tfw strange mixture of sorrow and respect sweeps over you
I'll probably cry when Brady retires
Someone probably let him on about the Jews that set the Superbowl, and Beast Mode is a pretty good guy, so I don't see him going along with this sham.
>liking Tom Brady
choose one friendo
bruh....we wouldnt have won anyway. Lynch knew he was done. Our line has been shit all year and wilson had to level up to carry his team as far as he did when literally everyone got injured
>bruh....we wouldnt have won anyway. Lynch knew he was done. Our line has been shit all year and wilson had to level up to carry his team as far as he did when literally everyone got injured
this fucking anon knows
I mean Cam had a hell of a season but he had a line. Wilson had no one. This is why i will always respect wilson. Hes not a scum bag like most players and he actually doesnt curl up and hide in the face of adversity
rawls had like 5.9 ypc against some good defenses this year
Yeah i agree, i had some sort of respect for Cam but seeing the way he acted earlier in the Superbowl really made me not respect him as much as i did. Pouting and whinging like a goddamn toddler. I will always have respect for Wilson he is a class act and very respectable person on or off the field.
>this beautiful sport
Eh, I glance more or less. Isn't it his first year? Seems a little too early to assume that. Especially with running backs.
That's pretty good, though I refer to the last point.
Is it enough to bring them back to the owl?
I don't remember if they had a solid Oline when they won in '13 or fought the Pats.
One of my favorite players, on and off the field. Not a 12 myself, but I always respected how he handled the media, and how he just wanted to play football, and kept it that way. Retired at an appropriate time in his career as well.
Retire in Peace, I'll go to your store next time I'm in oaktown and say what's up
Literally in the top 5 most entertaining players to watch on and off the field.
Hope Lynch can be considered for Hall of Fame but not sure how likely it will be.
>Yeah i agree, i had some sort of respect for Cam but seeing the way he acted earlier in the Superbowl really made me not respect him as much as i did.
He's literally pulled that same shit his entire career, definitely through college as well. Probably before. He's a piece of shit. Yeah, he kills it when things are going well, but the moment adversity hits, he's fucked.
it didnt matter. They had percy harvin, lynch, wilson himself, golden tate and theyre defense to win them the game vs the broncos. I remember wilson just kind of sitting there watching everyone that whole game
Honestly i never really paid attention to him and thought people exaggerated when they said he whines and acts like that, all i thought when i would think of cam was "oh he over celebrates which i dont care really" but as of earlier like i said, people were not lying what so ever. Cam is a douche
>I don't remember if they had a solid Oline when they won in '13 or fought the Pats.
the seahawks haven't had a good Oline since Hassellbeck. It's been building up to where the Oline would get stomped to shit and this season was the one that pointed out how fucked it is.
doesnt matter. Percy harvin played 1 fucking game and had the most impact and he did absolutely nothing except that one touch down. That game was fucking marvelous and confusing to watch all at the same time
I'll go with a we'll see. Dolphins have tried getting New O-Line(and FA) since god knows when. It's a crapshoot.
Welp, Hawks could try the pats run 'n gun style of play. They have a shit oline.
fucking scum trying to take attention away from the Superbowl good riddens
the game was boring as fuck
>laughing after loss
>seahawks fans think its because they didn't give him the ball
>marshawn is really only pumped because he doesn't have to play football anymore.
pretty convinced this guy didn't enjoy the game in the least and just saw it as a vehicle to acquire wealth. respect it.
For real tho, that's one of the baddest ass retirement announcements I've seen. And pretty cool of him to wait till right after the Superbowl so he wouldn't steal the spotlight from anyone, knowing that his news would get buried in postgame coverage.
>that time he flipped off Bevell
I've had Hawks season tickets since '09; they traded for Marshawn the following year and it's never been the same here. Loved watching this crazy man run. Hope he doesn't hold bad feelings towards the franchise after some of the play calls that went down (c.f. flipping off Bevell above, SB XLIX). Really want to see him roll up here to raise the flag next year and go into the ring of honor soon.
My bucket list: I don’t really think about that too often but I would like to go to Africa and see what’s up over there. Also, the Philippines and Asia. Go to Fiji and see if the water is really like that. And also, I am going to go down in history for something. I’m not sure yet, but it will be something good. -Marshawn Lynch
>Go to Fiji and see if the water is really like that.
What a beautiful soul.
>retires in his late 20s
>apparently barely spends any money
>still has his health
>played in back to back super bowls, winning one of them
he's MUCH smarter than he looks. good call, he gets to walk out a winner who isn't even in the prime of his life.
As a pats fan marshawn was one of my favorite players
I love how real he is and how he gives the "sports journalism" media what they deserve, which is a huge middle finger.
He's sharp as fuck too, retiring at 29 with 50 mil in the bank, and your own brands doing well. God bless him
