supporters group just put their vote out, they will send the results to AUFC front office to look at.
Can't wait for it to come back. Hopefully there's some genuine, breakthrough American talent this season though. I think the days of the MLS being the retirement league need to be drawn to an end sooner rather than later, especially with Ashley Cole embarrassingly saying how it WAS a retirement league and then walking straight into the first team of LA Galaxy.
Much like the WNBA, it's a long way from "let's start a league for this" to, "I, a player, can make a living at these wages."
They're finally getting to that point in the latter, particularly with the successs of the Men's World Cup. Shit, even the women's league saw an attendance spike.
If you can educate the type of people who live on JOH-JA to like soccer, then this sport is here to fucking stay.
There's that Morris guy who's probably going to play for Seattle.
It's still going to take a while for the ball to really get rolling on domestic talent. I don't even think all clubs have academies and farm teams yet - if they all do a lot are very, very young in any case.
that'd be too much of a microaggression, people of colour would get triggered by that.
This is MLS after all, just because it's a derby game doesn't mean opposing fans can't give each other complimentary mutual rimjobs after the game.
>yfw the Rams leaving is what will make having a MLS team there more likely.
All according to Garber's plan.
there was literally no losing that battle for Garber
either the Rams left, leaving a franchise-sized hole in the STL sports scene for MLS to readily exploit
or the Rams stayed, building a shiny new football stadium which was also suitable for soccer
thats actually what I kinda wanted from the start. the Terminus Legion guys have gotten a rep of being lame as fuck but i really do love their name and wish the team was more Terminus themed.
It sounds a bit weird but it's not at all unprecedented.
well they did sortof take the name poll into consideration. a lot of the choices AUFC gave were the same ones on the TL poll.
I've been dying to find out why people actually hate these guys. I dont know any of them but all I hear from people is that they dont like them without being able to actually tell a story about something that happened. Honestly surprised to hear about them starting bar fights though, they were originally all fedora wearing gentlemen.
TL is probably going to get everything they could ever want from the FO. They go to all the AUFC events (even private press conferences) and they are probably the only supporters group on Blank's radar at all. I've seen Blank and Eales mention TL numerous times.
It was the USFL __AND__ the NASL.
The more you know!
Except for the part where the entire rest of the world does it that way. This is how you avoid shit like that previous LA Clippers situation.
Or the Cleveland Browns right fucking now.
Expansion is the last thing you need, the old major american soccer league had too many franchises, bad owners and far too many distances to travel for the players. Learn from your mistakes.
