Shit that could work, make it a really strong spring swung bat.
Re-compressing the spring would a pain though but if you can hit the other robot once that's it, slant the bat upward a bit and you hit a home run with the other robot.
>hosted by based Craig Charles for a solid hour
>top British boffins for judges
>mental arena, flames, the pit, the flipper, dropped washing machines on robots, has a digger arm in the early series
>the fucking house robots holy shit
>hosted by ESPN castoffs with names like Randy Schweinberg the third
>20 minute show squeezed out over 30 minutes
>arena has some... chains? spikes? wow
>commercial break every time they even show a hint of action
>constant replays of the little action they show
I think you mean 2011+5(half a fucking decade)
I lost my shit when Firestorm was kill in the final of Series 3.
Now that Philippa Foster is fat and old, we'll need a new qt pit girl in the leather get-up.
>tfw I support Liverpool and PA was my favourite robot growing up
It all makes sense now.
This triggers the Razer fanboy
THANK YOU BASED GOD
>The new series of has been commissioned by channel controller Kim Shillinglaw

I loved both Battlebots and Robot Wars for different reasons.
I thought the House bots of robot wars were cool but I hated the lighting for the arena and aside from Razer didn't like many of the other bot designs.
I thought Battlebots had better commentators and a better announcer and I liked a lot of the bot designs but with the freedom of the heavyweight class bots you got some retardedly one sided matchups.
(Son of Whyatchi vs. Nightmare)
His Robot Wars commentary layered over football is still one of my favourite youtube concepts
Still doesn't beat DnB layered over American Pentecostal church services but still.
Mate that DnB video might be the best thing I have ever seen, on youtube. Having been to plenty of DnB club nights I can tell you that it really isn't a million miles off, just similar enough to make it completely hilarious.
>that guy throwing his hands up before the drop then quickly bringing them down
inb4 biohazard again shows that the most boring robot also has the best design.
Maybe they'll allow robots to actually be destroyed now, since they aren't as expensive.
Mate that doesn't happen anymore, this robot has consistently won the bulk of the robot combat tournaments its entered over the past few years in America. The advancements in batteries just allow so much more power to be drawn into a weapon.
that's another thing. I kind of wish they'd focus more on the bots desu. The guys who make them are usually cunts. Or they could be over the top cunts, like pro wrestlers. That'd be entertaining.
Yeah, it's the appeal, bear in mind that a good 90% of people who go to it are on MDMA anyway, which makes you go a bit mental at the best of times. Never thought I'd like the genre at all until I tried it high like that.
