He had Julio, Roddy, and Tony for 3 years. The first was Julio playing as a rookie in a shortened, lockout offseason. That was 2011. 2013 was injuries galore. 2012 was the one year we did anything. That was when Julio wasn't a rookie and had a full offseason to learn and prepared and we weren't playing musical chairs with the offensive line. That was also Michael Turners worse and final year in the NFL. Harry Douglas did fuck all as usual.

He gets one more year before we have to move on; a post June 1 cut next year is a favorable dead cap situation. I think the Falcons should take a chance on Cardale Jones if he's there in the 2nd as a blackup.

Imo he gets less respect than he should. He's been the one stable piece in that organization lately. He was drafted after the Petrino and and Vick fiascos when the team was in a tailspin, and has been extremely consistent through an ever changing O-line and a defense which has been pretty shit. Theres a reason hes had so many "game winning drives" and its because the D has never been able to hold a lead. People talk about his offensive weapons, but I challenge someone to name a defensive player that was above average in their time in ATL (which excludes abraham). Hes never been "elite" but hes been top 10-ish his entire career while the rest of his team COLLECTIVELY has been bottom 10-ish.
