I'll be honest with you guys, I've not seen any matches yesterday, but damnit we need a thread when the greatest personality of all time is playing. He's even playing the first match of the day!
1300h: Martin Adams vs Smith
1415h: Mark McGeeney vs Sajwani
1530h: Deta Hedman vs Corrine Hammond
1600h: Gary Robson vs Madars Razma
1800h: Geert De Vos vs Pantelidis
1915h: Zoe Jones vs Tina Osborne

Let's have a good one!
W O L F I E
I did not watch yesterday. Any interesting things happened other than >Hankey and Ross failing again?
who /silencer/ here
Just seen the results.
Would love Smith to win the whole fucking thing.
In other BDO news, the organisational capabilities of the maroon blazer gang have been questioned once again after Duzza posted this tweet: https://twitter.com/Duzza180/status/684026185077108736
>Can't answer question when I next play @BDOdarts are awaiting TV schedule - family and friends awaiting the details like I am
Not having a TV schedule organised for the last 16 before the tournament started is embarrassing.
Smith would be the lead in that pairing, no joke.
John Fat's only good enough for a return to Frimley Green.
Save us based doggy doge man
Is the BDO getting better, or is everyone just catastrophically shit?
He was laughing again when he lost today
How based is this man?
Current tournament bracket is as follows:
Glen Durrant v Larry Butler
Geert De Vos/Kostas Pantelidis v Scott Waites
Wesley Harms/Seigo Asada v Jim Williams
Jamie Hughes v Madars Razma
Jeff Smith v Brian Dawson/John Walton
Dennis Harbour v Martin Phillips
Scott Mitchell v Mark McGeeney
Richard Veenstra v Martin Atkins
>the state of the everything in that bracket
Definitely the latter. There was a single sub-80 average in the first round last year. There's already been six this time, including two winning with sub-80s.
I wonder why some of the PDC jobbers don't make the switch
People like Whitlock, Hamilton, Webster and Nicholson could probably clean up.
Because they earn more losing in Phil's Dart Club.
Even BDO jobbers are making good money now in the PDC so why would they? Even Jan "top" Dekker made over 20k last year, not even including exhibitions
Unusually, Smith went the other way: his PDC Tour Card expired in 2013 so he decided to play on the BDO circuit.
>PDC reject on course to make it two Lakeside semis in a row
>eternal BDO jobber Darryl Fitton has only been to the semis twice in 14 attempts at Lakeside
Plus they'll think the BDO is "beneath" them.
Just had a look at how the prize money for Lakeside's shared: http://www.dartsdatabase.co.uk/EventPrizeFund.aspx?EventKey=7402
>£15,000 for the semi-finalists
>people who got to the ROUND 2 in the PDC Worlds got the exact same amount
>people who were too shit for the first round at Ally Pally get only £250 less than the BDO last 16 players get
Reports suggesting Kevin McDyke is returning to the BDO after not renewing his/her tour license
I'd fuck this Kiwi chick lads tbqh
It's slightly better than her effort last year.
>Commentators discussing Zoe going through a pink patch
I mainly use Datadart products, but I recently bought a set of Unicorn darts (T95 Core XL 23g) to try something different.
I must say, the barrels are nice, but the flights and stems feel rather poorly made. The plastic just feels very cheap compared to Datadart's flights and stems (particularly the Jocky Wilson ones).
I hear the Unicorn boards are shit too. Why is Unicorn so prominent in pro darts when they aren't committed to quality?
(Well, I know that prominence doesn't always equal quality...In fact it's almost always the opposite. But it still sucks...)
Does anyone else not like Unicorn stuff?
Then again, what do I know? Most of the pros use unicorn darts and accessories.
I remember when I kinda thought Zoe was hot (for a darts player)
Obviously the dyke community has gotten their hands on her
Same for Craig Caldwell. Incredibly unfortunate for both of them.
The biggest Dutch jobber on the circuit up next in Wesley Harms.
Just catching up.
>Zoe Jones' missus looking like the downs one from Eastenders
>all but the one on the right incorrectly saluting like Amerifats
>not knowing BASED HASHIMOTO or Haruki "Definitely a woman" Muramatsu
>Some of the PDC players pretend to be not interested in the BDO but they are!
Lel, most of them told they are not even watching their oponnents throw at the PDC WC, why would they watch BDO?
Something with his neck: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/darts/6839153/John-Walton-makes-triumphant-return-to-oche-after-suffering-from-a-neck-injury.html
Still able to job on the Challenge tour though: http://www.dartsdatabase.co.uk/PlayerDetails.aspx?playerKey=175
>Job Boy Walton
And that D16 ends the night's action and the men's first round with possibly the fixture of the last 32.
Both Brian Dawson and John Walton played some fascinating darts, with the 2001 World Champion averaging 93 for most of the match but the #15 seed taking out some amazing finishes, the best of all being the all bull 125. Doggy kept at John Boy and when the man from Sheffield slipped up on his scoring after losing his 2 set lead, the Rotherham/Barnsley David Brent took advantage and won. It's a real fucking shame one person's had to go from that match when far worse players have got through.
Before that, last year's pisshead Seigo Asada pushed number 5 seed Wesley Harms to a deciding set in a match that had strong scoring but frightful finishing, with a combined total of 54 doubles missed. The Dutchman prevailed but will have to up his checkouts in the last 16 if he wants to go any further.
Belgium's Geert de Vos had the easiest ride of the night with a fairly simple 3-1 victory over Greece's Kostas Pantelidis, who just didn't turn up.
The men's last 16 gets underway tomorrow: it's now first to 4 sets (best of 7) with these games:
>Afternoon session (1:00pm - 5:00pm)
Larry Butler v Glen Durrant
Lorraine Winstanley v Rachel Brooks
Jim Williams v Wesley Harms
>Evening session (6:00pm - 10:45pm)
Dennis Harbour v Martin Phillips
Jamie Hughes v Madars Razma
Brian Dawson v Jeff Smith
See you then.
Hopefully someone else makes the thread during the afternoon session as I won't be here again and will miss the start of the evening session.
Will do, at least you've got the proper schedule I can copy! The official Lakeside website didn't even have a proper schedule on their site. It just says 5 times "Men's round 2."
