Why are the Japs better at everything?
>formula 1 sucks so much
>that even the threads are cancer
>nigger questioning if briatore wants to come back to f1

You should add an anime picture with your post to emphasise how cute you look when you're embarassed. No one can hate on cute anime girls.
I find daytona to be more fun to watch than dubai as the latter has odd regulations and the field isn't as competitive.
wah~ how shameful of me
flavio did nothing wrong
Eh l/a/ds who is best girl?
Jules GF was cheating on Jules with someone else before the crash.
When the accident happened she lied on her instagram and pretended they were still together.
She shut her instagram when someone found out.
Now she is fully with someone else and moans during sex how much bigger he is compared to Bianchi.
WAGfag probably made up that last part.
/f1/ threads during the offseason are dreadfully cancerous
>not that they're better during the actual season but it's more >blessed
Let's discuss the only noticeable design change for 2016.
Any chance it allows for some tricks or at least improves the sound?
>improves the sound
nuh uh, sorry hans
better get used to that vacuum cleaner sound
Who /dakar/ here?
>There has been an accident at km 6.6 of the prologue's special, with car no. 360 veering off the road and hitting four spectators.
>The organisers immediately deployed all resources available to the site of the accident: four medical helicopters, three medical vehicles belonging to the organisers and eight local ambulances.
>Injured individuals are likely to be swiftly taken to hospitals in the area following an initial medical evaluation by the organisers' medical teams on the site.
>The race directors immediately decided to neutralise the race. The remainder of the trip to the Rosario bivouac will be considered a link section.
Cry and weep in the corner because his waifu is getting fucked hard by another man?
unattractive and objectionable: rebarbative modern buildings.
late 19th cent.: from French rébarbatif, -ive, from Old French se rebarber ‘face each other “beard to beard” aggressively,’ from barbe ‘beard.’
why would she cheat with such a rebarbative guy?

The first generically cancerous /a/ vs /F1/ fight of the year. Well done Lads
I mean this is an anime imageboard.
I still miss wagfag tho, I hated his kekelding meme, but he was good otherwise else.
>streambro pls come back and let us relive old races to shitpost about.
Couldn't you just go to 8ch and post their when you want to have fun discussing WAG stuff?
The guy is fucking active in his thread even if there is that shit australian.
Does it count as a meme if it was true?
It's rough, but here you go.
i won't lie, that's quite cool
>on the other hand
kovalainen wins the award for most autistic helmet ever worn in f1, but at least he didn't do it >for free
Anime and Lotus being bought out by Renault.
Other than that no.
>falling for the b8
Hope he keeps that helmet next season. Hate how modern drivers like to change helmets every 5 races, and specially that most modern helmets are overly ornamented "modern n cool" designs...
Is that the story of the 2014 Lotus nose?
Rev up them proper cheeky dubs early then
>not pic related
So it's pretty much confirmed that the hybrid-era of 2014-2016 will go down in F1 history as one of the worst periods for the sport in general, right?
>barely enough footage in 2015 to make a proper highlight reel out of (with the exclusion of Hungary and COTA there was almost nothing great about this season)
Haven't been on /f1/ since the season ended. A few questions
>is it 100% confirmed that Jenson and Jessica have infact broken up because Jessica was cheating with a Fernando-lookalike?
>any reason to believe anything will change for 2016?
The only official reason given for the split is that they spend too much time apart and nothing really changed jn their relationship with being married.
Obviously given their past public lives, the implications and rumors are that they probably continued to sleep with other people
>maybe in two years
Depending on the 2017 rule changes everything might happen "in two years".
Ferrari have something up their Sheev I mean sleeve thanks to the happy Haas cheating, I hope it will be enough to stop Elderly Fan & Cuck KG.
They were banished. It was necessary really as the whole of /F1/ was becoming wagposting. The wagposters all went to ate ch4n so you can go there and look for them if you want but you're also likely to encounter webms of people ejaculating on F1 figurines.
WAGsguy said left because he didn't like how the mods left the WAGs up (within reason) but took down other off topic shit that his friends posted. it was either all or nothing.
They all left and went to 8ch.
Anyone else noticed Rosberg's arm/hand gesture when he talks ? I've read an article about that subject and its because he's being open and honest about the matter and also expressing an honest opinion.
>yfw McLaren find a way to finally go white and red to appease the idiots and Haas have the same livery.
I never minded him but it's easier to post WAGS when they allow multiple images per post.
never had any personal connection to cevert cause he was before my time, alesi was my hero tho
it was a one-off for vergne
de angelis and suzuki had it their whole careers too mon ami
but if you want a one off that wasn't a reference to anything, this one was pretty sweet
Sutil had some nice one off helmets
Changes to tyre rules which will do fuck all.
Some kinda exhaust change which will do fuck all.
I can't think of anything else.
2017 is meant to be be the major change but it will probably do fuck all and we will try and convince ourselves that it did.
Was this the worst one off helmet in history?
the definitive 2015 helmet power rankings
his regular helmets pretty cool tho
A lot of them may be cluttered but they're still far better than the simplistic junk that we had back in the day. Part of the reason why I still dislike by the helmet change ban.
Good. It shouldn't be about the fans. The helmets are supposed to represent the creativity and tastes of the drivers and whatever ideals that come with them. They're in no way less personal than the old helmets, drivers are just naturally going to take advantage of the current technology and the ability of helmet artists (like Vettel's) to do more complex ones.
You can have something a touch better than that.
Decently initially at least. They're bound to make good use of the 2015 Manor prototype and the help they've gotten all year from Ferrari. They'll definitely beat Renault and maybe finish close to McLaren if they improve as much as I currently predict they do.
Force India is probably out of reach though.
Yes infact she is the best.
If Massa retires at the end of 2016 and Bottas moves to Mercedes, who will replace them? My current bet is on Lynn and Sutil, but that's only because they're already part of the team. Nasr has a good chance as well for similar reasons.
>Other than being useless, why would he?
He himself is keen on the idea.
>Why would they want him?
He's managed by Wolff and Hakkinen, and odds are that Rosberg will lose his seat at the end of the year.
He was cool. Going to Caterham destroyed his career though.
you mean Kamui 'Sasha Grey is just child's play' Kobayashi
Hi Guys (Slightly) off-topic question (Mods be Merciful)
We've got the Rolex 24 (Daytona 24 hour Race) coming up soon. Is there a video link, blog or website I could go to in order to read up on the race and the IMSA Sportscar Championship as a whole.
You know, it's history, format, role and what makes it different to other series.
I just want to get an idea of it and if its worth getting into etc.
I suggest racer.com for news and info about the series and the race for this year. Their reporter Marshall Pruett does a pretty good job of finding stuff to write about in the lead up.
As far as the history goes I don't really know. If you could find any of the races on a torrent site or YouTube obviously that would be neat.
Here's a multi part recording of the 1998 race, featuring the Ferrari 333sp
>They're in no way less personal than the old helmets, drivers are just naturally going to take advantage of the current technology and the ability of helmet artists (like Vettel's) to do more complex ones.
Personalized helmets exist for one reason, to identify drivers. In past anything too complex was hard to identify on live TV. Only thing that has changed is resolution of televisions.
When sports on TV became a thing pretty much all team sports were affected in one way or another. Home and away colors picked on way that those are easily distinguished on black and white TV. NHL is good example and more orthodox than most other leagues.
>The NHL itself adapted to become viewer-friendly. In 1949, to make the puck easier to see, the league mandated the ice surface painted white. In 1951, so each team was distinguishable on black and white television, the League required home teams wear colored jerseys, and the road teams wear white. For the same reason, teams painted the centre red line in a checkered pattern to set it apart from the solid blue lines
>White helmet absolutely ravaged by a million ads/logos everywhere to the point that almost half of the surface area is in fact not white
Why do people like this shitty helmet design again?
>If that's the case then that's the dumbest shit imaginable
How it's dumb to make sport watchable on TV?
>and makes the NHL laughable.
Only thing that separates NHL from some other leagues/sports is strict white away colors. Football is also good example, balls suddenly became white instead of brown once TV became a thing. Home and away kits became mandatory, now even 3rd kit is becoming defacto mandatory because of international cups as coordinating colors between different leagues would be nightmare with just two kits.
>WORST LIVERY CURRENTLY ON THE GRID
Red Bull is so fucking horrible. They never change it. The colors are terrible. Toro Rosso has literally always looked nicer and more "mature" with the darker shades of red and blue. Red Bull looks like a fucking cartoon and has remained virtually unchanged forever.
Now that I think about it McLaren is pretty horrible.
Mercedes is hideous
Force India is bland and uninspired
Sauber is awful but at least they are a different color scheme
Why are teams so afraid to take some risks with their liveries? Would love to see something a bit more colorful on the grid.
Even Red Bull's Camo thing they used for testing was better than what they use every year. They could have even used that camo style integrated with the trademark colors and it would have been something new, but nah better stick to the good old design. As if they have any brand/team loyalty anyway. Give them a few more shitty/midfield seasons and watch their fanbase diminish even further, especially if they don't retain Ricciardo or get Verstappen into the Red Bull. Red Bull fans are simply fans of the drivers who drive for them. I'm sure a huge part of Red Bull "fans" are now "tifosi" because of Vettel.
It's kind of the same thing with Mercedes as well.
>Would love to see something a bit more colorful on the grid.
Colorful tends to look disgusting as fuck.
Doesn't change the fact that their livery is fucking awful. Fuck that team anyway, they were nothing but a joke in 2015 and now they sold out to become Merc B-team (B stands for Bitch)
They're not even an attractive "underdog" type scenario. They're just a shit team with supposed "true racers" as key personnel who achieve GP2 level shit laptimes and shit results and currently employ a shit paydriver who doesn't even deserve to be in GP2 and has barely won anything in his career and Merhi who is.. ok. Plus all this struggle and "intergrity" resulted in nothing as they were bought out to be a junior program for a big team, meaning they won't have any autonomy again, and probably won't even be called Manor in the future. GG guys
I don't mean some autism rainbow color shit
Examples that come to mind - Jordan yellow, BAR schizo livery (GOAT), Caterham green, Classic 2000's Renault etc
Just something that isn't White/Silver or Black based
Benson & Hedges yellow.
>BAR schizo livery
British American Tobacco.
>Classic 2000's Renault
Mild seven blue.
Bit illegal in most countries.
Also known as British racing green.
It's Benetton not so shortly after change from Toleman, before Ross Brawn & buddies became one of most dominant design teams in F1.
Pic related is pretty much only good and original livery Toleman-Benetton-Renault-Lotus has ever had. Black and gold JPS livery is pretty good but it's original Lotus livery. IMHO Renault should go for late 70's-early 80's yellow-black-white.
Aside from old time national colors liveries if F1's have been more less ones dictated by sponsors.
>Why are finns so angry? Didnt you win in hockey today or something?
Russia seems to be controlling against 'murrica. I'd prefer playing against team freedom in final.
>until 2012, sure. they changed to a pretty darn attractive lighter green in 2013.
They just made metal shiny part bit shinier. It's tone depended on light, lighter on when sun shined, darker without sun.
That started when team was still Benetton. I think that in some point in late 90's Mild Seven was major sponsor for at least two teams if not three.
I think for many people favorite liveries tend to be from time they started to follow F1.
2001 is the GOAT enstone livery along with 1986
what is the point of this post
>be tired of F1 borefest
>watch me some MotoGP from the best spent 0.99€ of the off-season VideoPass
>Le Mans 2013
>Lewis Hamilton celebrity interview
>what is the point of this post
Legendary liveries of yesterday same as liveries of today, almost always issued by sponsors or derived from the day that certain liveries were mandatory, like Ferrari or Mercedes these days.
Ironically here is alternative to todays Williams due to main sponsor, Martini sponsored teams are either white or red.
In background totally not McLaren from 80's, just same sponsor.
>You're just saying things that are already known...
Feels more than a bit like captain obvious, but problem isn't teams, but sponsors when it comes to liveries. If team decides livery it will be it's own main sponsor, as it with Ferrari, Mercedes and used to be with Renault in 80's. Occasionally other sponsor will follow the main sponsor, because marketing synergies, as happened with West-McLaren-Mercedes from mid 90's to early 2000's, West applied silver from Merc to their own branding.
In 70's and even in 80's Formula 1 ran on less money than now. Then constructors decided that running team is better than being engine supplier. That made everything too serious business and budgets skyrocketed.
Zakspeed were brilliant in everything but F1 and accounting.
this is the goat benetton
Pinkham is pregnant again. Due in June. It's Ted's.
Very, very good. Still not the best.
Maybe I should've let it die

Got you covered
There is literally nothing F1-related to discuss. A surprisingly dead off-season, with no leaks/ informed 'insider' speculation about expected performance yet (apart from the fabled McHonda 2 second gain).
With F1 being slow these days, a quick WEC question.
Are diffusers this size allowed in GTE Pro? This seems extremely large. Or is this the IMSA version of the new GT.
>you call that a diffuser?
It's interesting to notice how uninteresting F1 off-season has become.
Busy being veggie.
>Now we can talk about people shitting on streets after raping a 4 year old girl.
Is Olympic sailing venue still so full of floating shit that it's unsafe for competitors?
Surprising lack of cuties being posted here l/a/ds

Quite another question: gentlemen, a short view back to the past. Thirty years ago, Niki Lauda told us ‘take a monkey, place him into the cockpit and he is able to drive the car.’ Thirty years later, Sebastian told us ‘I had to start my car like a computer, it’s very complicated.’ And Nico Rosberg said that during the race – I don’t remember what race - he pressed the wrong button on the wheel. Question for you both: is Formula One driving today too complicated with twenty and more buttons on the wheel, are you too much under effort, under pressure? What are your wishes for the future concerning the technical programme during the race? Less buttons, more? Or less and more communication with your engineers?
It's the first car we've seen with the new regulations, I assume others will be the same. Also it might be a bit of an illusion since the rear bumper on the Ford GT is much higher off the ground than it's competitors.
Tractors are dangerous
Streambro probably just ran out of steam, what he should have done was set up a livestream account or some obscure streaming site and then set the playback to play next in folder and just streamed all of the seasons that were in the 1 TB torrent and went afk.
I can spam anime pictures to keep thread alive if you'd like
Guess who's back....
Brazil 1994 (starting 1994 replay)
nope. It felt to memetier and I could never buy it, I'm still unsure of how much "safer" it is, but I've never read up on it.
I still have like 3-4 every year. I use one of those tar filters, and I honestly think the amount I have is not significant. I can't not have them, as every few months I want one more than life, but after one is seems to just disappear.
>tfw no West McLaren Mercedes
>tfw no Rothmans Williams
>tfw no Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro
Well you're not burning tobacco and carcinogens which has to be like 75% of the really shitty stuff, of course its not completely safe, but smoking 3-4 cigs is nothing, I went from nearly a pack a day when I was 18 to having not smoked a cig (but vaped) for 3-4 months now, I'm 22
>ferrari to beat mercedes
>one last win for massa before retirement

I'm trying lads. I'm trying. I have no idea why the reddit stream survives, and mine dies.
Welp, possibly the last stream on this channel until dies from Bernie. Enjoy while you can lads.
>but most of the manufacturers are introducing completely new cars for 2016
Are you sure? Ferrari will bring the new 488, but won't Porsche, Chevrolet and Aston Martin keep their current cars? (with some updates of course)
Rabbit started to flip out around the holiday time, but it seems to be okay now.
>Schumi stuck in 5th gear for a big part of the race
>casually reading that article

"Maurizio [Arrivabene, team principal] will tell you we delayed some things to allow for the 2015 car to be finished," said Marchionne.
"Hopefully he will not bitch about this. We pushed the start of some of the work on the '16 cars on the chassis, delayed it a bit.
>instead of working on your car that is expected to be a title challenger, waste hundreds if not thousands of manhours and tens of €millions developing one that has no chance at all
Even the cars that are the same model are being completely updated to match the new rules
The general parameter haven't changed but there have been minor alterations, enough that most cars have been revamped.
One such change regards opening up aero development and one of the areas opened up is the diffuser, so it is expected that everyone will have equally long diffusers.
Another change is the allowance of turbocharged engines which Ferrari, BMW and Ford are taking advantage of.
Those 3 have brand new models and Vette did a big rebuild. Porsche and Aston did apparently stay with the same cars and only will be updating specific parts.
So the rules didn't change all that much in the big picture, but many teams have chosen to do big updates or complete new cars this year. I think 2018 is when there will be a large shift in the GTE rules. Sorry for the long post but some of this is hard to keep track of before testing even begins
>I think 2018 is when there will be a large shift in the GTE rules.
Ah yes, I heard they want faster GT's again, like in the GT1 days, but not that extreme. Would be awesome!
>Sorry for the long post but some of this is hard to keep track of before testing even begins
Sorry? No need for that at all. Thank you!
Oh my fucking christ
Kek I remember that. I really hope it is children, but the internet never fails to disappoint.
I used to play a forum game called pixel car or something like that. You would start with a small amount of money, pick a starter car and go to "shops" to upgrade it, then apply to do races. After upgrading the car, you had to update the pixel image of your car in mspaint if it was a visual change. Everything in the game was handled by text in the threads of the forum and there were so many restrictive rules that you felt suffocated. The races were just decided by some guy in his head based on the stats of your car and what kind of road it was. I stopped playing when I realized I could already do better things than this in video games like need for speed or midnight club. I was only 13 or so at the time but I know there were several adults doing it and for what purpose, I don't know

>people forced to follow the most popular races through 3 different channel changes and 1 hour only on the stream
>little to no advertising
>"hey lets ignore those problems and downsize the commentary team and maybe also keep them at the studio to call the races remotely"
>they actually think this will help ratings
signing up with FOX was a beeg mistake
and i mean no advertising for the race itself. within the race is all sorts of relevant advertisements, which usually end with the viewer getting 1:30 of racing action in a 3 hour race
Fucking retarded. This country sucks for watching any racing besides Nascar. NBC Sports is just barely watchable. They should ditch Leigh Diffey and replace him with Varsha but that would make the entirety of the US racing audience happy which is apparently frowned upon.
Quite another question: gentlemen, a short view back to the past. Factory teams shouldn't hire pay drivers.
