Are we in an era with the most world class goalkeepers? Theres:
Also, half of your list have already pass their prime.
But you do have a point OP, there are a lot of great goalkeepers around these days. However, if you put the bar for being "world class" that low, you should at least include Handanovic.
>This is the era of the worst strikers which in turn makes the goalies look better
>the worst strikers
The game is much higher scoring now than it was 20 or 30 years ago.
That's down to a number of things, such as rule changes, better pitches and more protection for attacking players. There is certainly a lack of elite level strikers right now. After Suarez, Aguero and Lewandowski there's a big drop off.
4. old Buffon/based Handanovic
5 then those guys who are clearly great but still inexperienced Courtois/De Gea
6. great but not world-class Hart/Alves/Lloris/Navas/Horn/Leno
999. Lel Stegen, has potential to be world-class shot-stopper, he just makes too many mistakes with his meme sweeper-keeping
kek, maybe 3 years ago
overrated because bundes but hes decent
definitely not, maybe 10 years ago
Just look at the 90s:
Chilavert, Kahn, Schmeichel, Preud'Homme, Pagliuca, Toldo, Peruzzi, Taffarel, Neville Southall, Van der Sar and a young Buffon
all proper world-class
I didn't see zoff/yashin either but since the game evolves rapidly I doubt they could compete with gks nowdays
>van der saar
Talking about overrated, great goalie but certainly not top 3 material, he's nearer to barthez than to kahn or neuer
>you're about to shoot a game deciding penalty
>this guy appears between the posts
>MFW old ass fuck long past his prime Gigi is still better than most of these shitters
