Be sure to post league size and scoring

I just traded away Doug Martin for Andy Dalton in a 10 man standard scoring. Was that a good move by me, considering I have Dion Lewis to replace him and I literally had no QB this whole season?

Other thread filling up, so yea let's get it going.

Ok, I play in a league where QBs get .5 for a completion and -.5 for an incompletion. Tell me why I shouldn't start Jameis Winston over Aaron Rodgers this weekend.
>>
>>63355661
Gurley, McCoy, and now Lewis
>>
>>63355681
Gurly is 100% going to win ROTY. No one even comes close to competing for it.
>>
>>63355562

You could have got another QB, good RBs are rare
>>
>>63355718
I got my 2 best RBs off the waiver wire this season. Freeman and Lewis.
>>
>>63355661
>>63355681
Martin has a pretty nice schedule at least but with that line up it's good to upgrade where you need it.
>>
This guy in my league keeps trying to trade me garbage players for Ingram or Charmander West.
He seems pretty desperate for a RB.
Is Ingram/West/Lacy + Walker a good trade for Gronk? Would it be worth a shot to try it with him?

Gonna wait til the games finish Sunday and see if I'm neither too far up to lose or too far down to win, and if I can use the boost from a kicker then I'll pick up Lambo before Monday night's games.

Pro Tip:
Never ever fall for multiples for one trade offers. It is almost never ever worth it. If you have an elite fantasy player, you always ride that wave until it crashes.

>>
>>63358747
It depends on your depth and who the players are. In the case of that trade its not good since Cobb sucks but if it were someone like E. sanders or A. Cooper it'd be worthwhile. No sense in being shit at RB if you can find a way to upgrade and still keep a borderline WR1.

Well shit, do I have a chance?

.25 PPR, 15 return yards=1 point
>>
>>63358798
Well, you traded away a slumping declining player who was overvalued for his name recognition alone. QBs are also overvalued in general, you can stream in any league (save for 2 QB leagues) and get by.

Still, unless you're selling high on a player who has peaked, you usually loose multiples for one trades.

>>63358900
You always always always take one player who averages 20 points a game over two players who average about 10 per game.

In fantasy it's always all about finding the safe bets, the players who week in and week out get high amounts of points. Same for drafting, you never draft for upside in the first two-three rounds.

If you have a top 5, rock solid lock RB or WR, you don't let anybody pry them out of your hands, ever.
>>
>>63358712

The only thing that's bailing me out is I'm playing an inactive who's got three people on Bye.

At the very least I should've put Eifert on FLEX, but I started Hill like a dumbass even though he's cost me games God knows how many times this year.
>>
>>63359038

>>
>traded Stewart for Hill

Jfc I knew I was getting a boom or bust player but Cleveland is the worst rush defense in the league and you're throwing a million passes in the red zone.
>>
>>63359081
To be fair Dwayne Harris has scored 20 points the last 2 weeks cause of return yards, but his meme team is 7-1 even though it's one of the worst scoring teams in the league
>>63359083
I'm the left side, but with his luck I'm not sure if I'm gonna win

Also Carr or Tannehill?
>>
>>63359125
Carr
>>
>>63359081
I have Dwayne Harris starting in my lineup but that's because it's either him or Terrance Williams. And Keenan Allen went down for me.

Maybe he'll get a random touchdown because Beckham is double teamed
>>
>>63359030

Trust me, I think the Bengals are the only people that believe Hill is better. I spent an early draft choice on Bernard last year, and I ripped off seven wins to start the season, then they decided that they spent too high of a draft pick on HIll to not have him dominate the touches.

So, I thought he'd continue to take Bernard's rightful workload this year and drafted him.

My fucking season has been a disaster.

Brown
Cobb
Hill
Edelman
Roethlisberger

PPR. Thought I'd be good.
>>
>>63359035

Julio is averaging 15, West 12 and Cobb 9. If his other RB is averaging <6 he's improving his team with that trade.
>>
>>63359161
he gets alot of carries but can't do anything. Just gets stuffed from the line, whether it's at the opponent's 2 yard line or the 50, he can't barely get a run above 5 yards.

>>
>>63359189

there was definitely somebody more worthwhile than both players at the time of your pick.

drafting a qb in round one is retarded. don't let the Hill thing convince you otherwise. He was taken in the 3rd round in my draft.

Rodgers was taken in the first, and that dude's team is one of the fucking worst because he has no depth at any position. (His team sucks and he has Gurley if that tells you anything)
>>
>>63359161
>>63359256
imo he's not as smart as Gio. Gio makes instant decisions and gets yards.

gio is more athletic imo too
>>
>>63359189

drafting a qb round 1 is retarded. your entire team would probably be worse if you did.
>>
>mfw I traded Eifert two weeks ago
I decided to stick with Olsen's more consistent numbers over Eifert's ups and downs. But fuck, he had a game.

Well, at least I still have Dalton.
>>
>>63359325

Eh, I guess you just trade whichever of the two gets you the highest return. Hopefully you didn't trade him for Chris Johnson or something shitty.
>>
>>63359189
Both would be retarded picks, there was probably Julio or OBJ right there to take and those are some of the safest bets you could make in the first two rounds.

Taking a QB early is always retarded. You win and lose leagues because of WR/RB production.

The shittiest of shit waiver QB still gets you 12-14 points a game on a bad day, while Rodgers gets you 20 per game. QB scoring is intentionally nerfed.
>>
>>63359365
>while Rodgers gets you 20 per game.

>>
>>63359442
Yeah but the 30 that Julio put up would have blown that nigga out the water.
>>
>>63359241
Not really. For one you're taking a huge gamble that West continues to produce at borderline RB1 levels. Especially when he has Denver up on the schedule after bye next. And secondly, you're better off with 15 reliable points and one boom/bust play than two boom/bust players that will give you headaches throughout the year.

>>63359325
I would have made that trade too. Come playoff time you'll probably be glad you did.
>>
>tfw had eifert
>>
>>63359365
I had the 14th pick in a 14 man league. Drafted Odell and Hill. Next best running back I passed on was Forte. Nearly wanted to draft Odell and Dez back to back but decided not too. My 2nd WR was Keenan Allen.

Drafted Rivers around the 6 or 7th round but other some people in my league drafted QBs in the 2nd and 3rd round. Guys like Eli, and Rivers are great QBs to draft late.
>>
>>63359191

Stewart was my 4th RB. His 9 points every single game just means I'll never start him. My thought process was that I can at least start Hill in games where the Bengals are going win by a lot.

>>63359545
Every single fucking year you can get a solid QB off waivers, just nobody has the balls to drop their QBs until it's too late.

Carr, Bortles, Palmer, and Dalton have been gold and were undrafted in most leagues.

As for drafting, this is how I go, statistics back it up
>sure fire elite RBs first (usually only 3 of these)
>elite WRs, fuck low end RB1s until the elite WRs are all gone

It doesn't matter if you end up WR-WR or RB-RB or whatever at this point

Is this collusion or just stupidity? I think collusion but I need some second opinions. 10 team $100 entry fee btw

Team A trades:Mark Ingram, Flacco, Deangelo Williams.

To Team B for: Marcus Mariota, Ryan Tannenhill, Jordan Matthews

Team A now has no RBs besides Chris Johnson who is on bye this week. Team A picked up Andre Williams and Tre Mason off waivers, but still has an empty RB position that has yet to be filled. Team A says since they lost Kaep they needed a QB desperately so they had to do trade (still had Flacco)

Team B says trade is fair because he has to eat both RBs bye weeks. Team B traded no starters (has Cutler at QB) Team B now has best team in league.

Thoughts on this?

You don't. The only way trades works are if they are positive sum. If you can't improve the value of someone's team, then you can't trade with them.

Unfortunately 99% of people who play fantasy football try to make trades that devalue their opponents while helping their own.
>>
>tfw most mutually beneficial trade I've ever offered was turned down because the guy is afraid of trading and would rather acquire players "naturally"
>>
>>63362835
Not enough low% starters. I would suggest removing Floyd and Williams from that lineup since a lot of people will be playing them. The key to winnings these things is by hoping the obvious spot starts bust and you come in with low percentage guys--guys that 10% or so of players have starting--that do well. I don't think you have enough. So if your lineup performs well, so will tons of others and you won't be in the money.

Harris is going against Tampa Bay and has been getting some love despite being second to Rueben Randle.

Antone Smith is bumped up to second string with Forte being injured and their former second is now starting. The upside is they are going against San Diego and they are toilet against the run, I guess the cons are he's a second string and hasn't played a single snap yet.

I'm 8-0, but I need to pull some restructuring. I've been thinking about looking for someone that'll trade a WR and RB for Brees, or maybe do a 1-1 for a WR or RB. What would you guys do in this situation?

Waivers Week 9.png

Hey guys, can someone help me out with this? I put in a claim for both Forte and DJax, prioritizing Forte. However, the guy who claimed Forte (SMIT) had made the last waiver claim prior to Forte being claimed (Packers D/ST). So shouldn't SMIT be placed into the #10 waiver slot after his first claim? Shouldn't the standings be updated after the 6th?

Pic related. I'm PM4L. According to standard ESPN rules, I should've been placed in a higher waiver spot than SMIT. This doesn't guarantee that I would get Forte, but I should have gotten him before SMIT did. What the fuck?

The column in green shows how the waiver order should have looked before waivers ran this morning. The column in red shows the waiver order before they ran this morning, and already something is fishy in the ordering. The column in black shows the updated roster (and even that is off). Can someone explain this to me?
>>
>>63380521

As far as I know they go in order but show up fucked up.

I've noticed this too.

Pretty sure he put in first and all the adds show up at once.
>>
>>63380613
but that doesn't matter. After a successful waiver claim, he should moved to the bottom of the list. He should have gone down after picking up GB.
>>
>>63380633

Only if he was 9 before.
>>
>>63380649
But I should have been 6th in the order, when I claimed Taylor. REIN, JACO, MARA, and SMIT all made successful waiver claims AFTER me, and yet I was in the 9th spot before waivers ran this morning. How is that possible?
>>
>>63380659

Were you actually 6th?

I got fucked on this before because points for was the tiebreaker so I'm constantly at the bottom of waivers.
>>
>>63380685
No, after on Friday I was 9th, when I should have been 6th. Points is only used as a seeding tiebreaker on the initial waivers that run Wednesday morning. Here's the rule that I am referring to:

>When more than one team requests a player in waivers, the player is awarded to the team with the best waiver position (closer to 1). When a claim is resolved, the waiver position for the team that receives the player is changed to the lowest possible priority (10), and all the other teams move up a position.

http://games.espn.go.com/ffl/content?page=fflruleswaiverwalk

After a successful claim, that team goes to #10, regardless of tiebreakers, and all the teams behind that team move up one spot.
>>
>>63380703

No you claimed Tyrod over someone(moved back to 10), then someone else took someone that 2+ people claimed and they went to 10, pushing you to 9.

Someone else must have put in for tyrod and put you back to ten, then went behind you when they got a waiver.

For the record that is a garbage system.
>>
>>63380739
I highly doubt that, since I added Taylor instantaneously on Thursday. Nobody put in for Taylor before me. Only Forte and DJax were required to wait 48 hours before they could be claimed, as they never had been free agents before. Every claim before them should have altered the order.
4 other teams made successful claims after me, so all four of those teams should be behind me until I make my next waiver claim.
>>
>>63380764

Yeah you got fucked somehow.

But the good news is I can waiver game ESPN leagues really hard with this info.

Here's what I'm going with tomorrow. Lost last week, went from 2nd to 4th. I just need to stay in top 4, and then make playoffs.

Ain't much on the waivers. I've had a few trade requests but they were from idiots, so I promptly told them "Thank you for the trade offer, but I must respectfully decline, you understand?"

Someone tried trading me CJ2YPC for Allen Robinson, TOP FIG NEWTON

Anyway, I am thinking that since Robinson is going against Revis, that I'll go with Crabtree once again this week. However, I'm kinda going back and forth on Bryant and Hurns. Bryant seems to have more a rapport with the backup QBs in Pittsburgh, while Hurns is pretty consistent as a WR2 and he'll be facing a slowing Cromartie.

What say you, friends?

Standard, 10 teams.

I would like more depth at RB, but what can ya do? Should I re-message that guy and ask I'll consider dealing a WR but only for a equal value RB?

Guys, 10-team ppr

Rishard Matthews @ Buffalo or Eric Decker against the Jags.

Any reason to think that? Aside the general trend of nobody knowing who the fuck the Pats are gonna use week to week in terms of RB? Blount seems to have one or two huge games a year, then is nearly non-existent. Plus, Vereen last season or Gray, none of them were close to Lewis.

Miami scored 7 (SEVEN) points, in the third, while NE was up 19 by that point already. NE then went on to score 17 more points.

I know Brady tosses it (or hands it) like no other, and hell, I'll admit, I'm wary about the whole Lewis/Blount situation. but it's clear that "ahead by X" is out the window.

Even when Pats sit starters, it's usually only Brady. I remember last season I won a game in garbage time since Jimmy G tossed a last second losing effort TD to Gronk.

Woodhead, as much as I love him, is not a guy you can start week to week. He's like Darren Sproles, imho. One week he'll get you 20, the next week he'll get you 5.

Ew don't do that senpai. Jones/LaFell is a coin flip call, but Blount is a much better play than Andrews.
>>
>>63406072

SIT. LA. FELL.

Just do it. This is Amendola's every thrid turn, and also Cobb is getting kek'd by Norman.

If GB has chance at redemption, it's based James Jones

Whaddya think about this /sp/

>1 team gets Jeremy Hill
>Other team gets Amari Cooper and Peyton Manning

Team on left is 3-5, other is 2-6.

Trade:
Julio Jones
Aaron Rodgers
Antonio Gates

Receive:
Dez Bryant
Calvin Johnson
Carsen Palmer
Benjamin Watson

Thoughts?

Hurns or Crabtree?

Crabtree, only because Jet's defense
>>
>>63409350
That's dumb.
Peyton is shit, and probably won't get better. But that doesn't even matter, because he would never start him over Rivers.
He has Cooper, Bryant, Thomas, and some bench options, so he can replace Cooper. He has shit at RB.

The other guy is never going to play Hill, and could use a decent WR. Seems like a no brainer trade.

Sure, Hill is worse than Gio, but he's still getting 15 carries a game, and is more likely to get TDs.

Calling Cooper the "throw in" is stupid. The trade is obviously Hill for Cooper. Peyton is most likely on the bench for both teams.
>>
>>63409484

I wouldn't senpai
>>
>>63409484
Julio, Rodgers, Gates wins.

Julio is the top WR, no question.
Calvin is inconsistant. I don't trust Dez to dominate coming off his injury, and Romo coming off injury as well.

Palmer is good, but Rodgers won't be playing the Denver D every week. It's a very small drop between them.

Gates will be healthy this week, so he's much better than Watson going forward.

I don't see even why you are making this trade

You are literally getting as much as you'd give, it's a dumb trade, Great Reciever, Great QB, Solid TE for 2 Good Receivers, Great QB, and Solid TE

I mean, maybe if Julio is your only good WR with the rest being dogshit, then that'd make sense

Considering you have only 2 RB's, this might be a trade that can work in your favor, it gives you more options at flex, plus maybe someone will trade a decent RB for Dez or Megatron.

Dude's got two injuries while Robinson puts up similar numbers every week (even though he'll probably draw Revis) and Murray has been pretty solid lately. And Murray is going against a pretty suspect Steelers defense.
>>
>>63409165
>>63410459
You're this guy?
Ok, I'll bite. It's not an easy choice though.

Robinson on Revis island. Latavius vs. PIT run D. Marshall could be getting passes from Geno fucking Smith.

I would say Murray, but I think that game will be a shootout through the air.

I think I'd bet on Geno/Fitz getting something going Marshall's way.
