Yes, I'd say he died a heroic death delivering relief supplies to earthquake victims on New Year's Eve. I've spoken to people who watched and attended Pirates back then, and they have nothing but positive things to say regarding how he interacted with fans, dealt with an often disrespectful media, and in general how he carried him. He's pretty much what you want in a role model athlete.

ITT: we rate sports that we recently watched for the first time ever
game: baseball
pros:
-VERY comfy atmosphere. i can easily see myself being at baseball games every sunday after a saturday of drinking. sitting in the sun, watching a slow game, eating stadium food, based.
cons:
-on the reverse its a VERY boring game. no action, super slow moves, barely anything happens.
-the athleticism of the players is below average. most are literally overweight and that looks strange in a top sport.
-advertisement breaks every 4 minutes or so, horrible.
-you need eagle eyes to see the ball and actually get what is happening
overall rating: 5/10. too boring to actively be followed but a top tier choice for trying to fall asleep or wanting to sit out a hang over on a sunday evening. probably more fun to play than watch.

The game breaks after every half inning regardless, so it's either go to the ads, or go have the commentators blab for a two or three minutes, it's not as guilty as forcing them as football/basketball with random timeouts out the ass

WFAN morning show co-host Craig Carton was arrested early Wednesday for duping investors out of $5.6 million to cover his staggering gambling debts, authorities said.
The motor-mouthed Carton turned to crime after running up millions of dollars in losses with two casinos, plus a debt of $825,000 to an unidentified individual, court papers charged.
Carton and co-defendant Michael Wright were both charged with securities fraud, wire fraud and conspiracy. The two could face a maximum of 45 years in prison and fines running into millions of dollars.
“Behind all the talk, the Carton and Wright show was just a sham, designed to fleece investors out of millions ultimately to be spend on payments to casinos and ... other personal debt,” said U.S. Attorney Joon Kim.
