>Come home and there's no metal thread. :<
Show me your lovely selves and share some tasty jams!
Starting off with Alestorm because fuck you, pirates. <3
Mushroomhead, been one of my favorite bands as of recent
Listening to one of my favorite albums of last year right now and enjoying a beer before the shit storm that is tomorrow happens.
Never heard of Leviathan, but holy shit. How unique their sound is! I don't have much to contribute for you, but maybe you'd like something like this?
Rearranging my collection currently. How are all of you?
This song is so chill, thanks for posting! His vocals are nice and clean, even when he's growling. Doing well, how are you? :)
Reminds me a little of Insomnium.
I find it pretty cool that you suggested two awesome solo projects in response to Leviathan which is also a solo project. Also, yes, I love both Burzam and Igorrr
RIITIIR is such a good album. Great song choice too.
I'm doing alright. Just finished rearranging my CDs and tapes around. I never really gave Insomnium much of a chance when I first heard them. They're alright lol
I haven't gotten around to listening to it yet. I've heard a few mixed reviews, but most of the more negative ones were still saying it was a great album, just more of a departure from their heavier sound than normal. They compared it to Opeth's Heritage.
Such face melting metal. Checked out Pillars of Ash, really awesome. Aggressive. Also tried Human Bodies but that's too metal for me.
Can anyone recommend bands like Skeletonwitch? Fast, catchy, kinda growley but can still understand what they're singing.
Yeah, Goatwhore is definitely what I wanted!
This guy has a beautiful voice! Thanks for joining!
Bumping with some classic Ensiferum.
OHHH I LOVE THIS SO MUCH! Skipped through and listened to a little bit of each. The vocals and keyboards really do it for me, lol. Do you have more like this? :D
Let's get some power metal in here.
Going to blast this at some point during work tomorrow. Should get everyone going.
If keyboard work does it for you then
Is pretty awesome
Aw, that's a great way to look at it. BG! <3 One of the best. Such a unique tone and range.
Been wanting to post this, also!
Thanks for posting more, it's the coolest. Reminds me of Powerglove, have you hear of them?
Hey, Bathory is sweet. Favorite song?
Indeed. Beautiful music. This thread has been on point. Going to be adding some new things to my collection
Thanks for sharing so much! I have one last for you before bed.
I'm glad you liked it!
It's bed time for me, but thanks to everyone in the thread for such awesome contributions!
I've met with Joel from toxic holocaust several times over the past 4 years
Obscura - Ode to the Sun
Protest the Hero - Dunsel
Intronaut - Fast Worms
Corelia. Hell freaking yes.
Enslaved are so good. Caught them in concert last December.
Ensiferum are always a good choice.
Got quite a bit of records lately, one of which being a 1st pressing of Bolt Thrower's ...For Victory!
The new guitarist tried to hit me up before realizing I had a boyfriend.
>mfw he has a girlfriend, too.
If you like pirate metal, check out these guys.
They're actual 'pirate metal', whereas Alestorm is drifting into generic 'party metal.'
I don't look like i'd listen to metal, but i'm wearing a Sólstafir hoodie and a Meshuggah shirt.
Have this stuck in my head right now.
Not trying to be, buddy.
You can add me to Skype if you'd like chaospicksfavorites
or kik is Kelican
I'm always looking for new music. Lately my thing has been folk punk though.. for a year and a half now. But i'm still into post/post-black metal/blackgaze and uh, drone, sludge, doom, stoner, Viking etc
I am still trying to enjoy Grand Morbid Funeral,
Nick Holmes is someone I haven't really been a super fan of and I am not sure how I feel about him vocally with them yet.
Have some kebab metal guys.
Back in the thread because I feel my early morning jams are worth showing.
Super groovy and definitely want to hear more from them
I was never really an industrial metal person
Falconer is sooooooooo good. I wish I got to see them at PowerProg
As im hated else where ill try being social here so hai im just an awkward potato listning to Sabaton at work
Someone here into classic heavy metal?
Like Iron maiden, judas priest, Manowar?
Trash like megadeth and antrax is pretty dope too.
I am pretty tolerant with all kinds of music, but i hate everything -core with the passion of a thousand burning suns.
The core community is full of kids and degenerates.
>The core community is full of kids and degenerates
Is that you, papa /pol/?
Here are some of my favorite Old school metal tracks.
I actually saw them live once, but that must have been 5 years ago or longer.
People appreciating that style of metal is sadly pretty rare nowadays. At least from my experiences.
Rarely do any newer bands play "heavy metal" either.
>Is that you, papa /pol/?
Nah i just like the word as a derogatory term for things i despise.
>Triumph of Steel
Top tier taste, even though i like most other tracks in Triumph of Steel more.
Power of thy sword and Ride the Dragon are literally godlike.
Never got into metallica sadly, but they lots have kickass songs too.
Ride the lightning comes to mind.
Listening to some polyphia. Earlier is was listening to ingested new album. Luke griffins new band posted a new song recently too that's really good. The band is called human error.

Old Lady Drivers might be up yout alley
Everything off The Musical Dimensions Of Sleastak rules. And Low Flux Tube
But their first album is totally different. Wacky super fast grindcore

Wait....THIS Gates of Ishtar is reforming?
There is only one true Pentagram and that isn't it.
How do you feel about Mercyful Fate?
>How do you feel about Mercyful Fate?
I actually have to admit i didnt know about them since a week ago when someone on /v/ posted them in a metal thread.
Doesnt really seem to fit my taste, but i only know two of their songs, so i probably cant judge yet.
There's them and also King Diamond's 'solo' stuff too.
Granted, the vocals can take a little time to get used to. But, it's all quality stuff.
One of my all time favourite songs
Anyone else going to Metal Threat Fest in July?
I can dig this.
Only started collecting records a little bit ago but here's what I have so far
L-R - Dark Funeral: Diabolus Interium Vobiscum Satanas. Marduk: Serpent Sermon. Amon Amarth: Twilight of the Thundergod. Burzum: Filosofem. Tsjuder: Desert Northern Hell. Hate Forest: Battlefields, Purity. Arckanum: Helvitismyrkr. Mgla: Mdlosci, With Hearts Toward None, Groza. Svartidaudi: Flesh Cathedral, Ragnarok: Malediction

My two favorite people...
Just dropping by.
Nice thread, friends. Listening to some Pallbearer right now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOst311K8V0
>tfw you can't remember the last show you were at
I hate living in the middle of nowhere.
I just saw Nile 2 weeks ago. Hot damn they are brilliant. Thankfully, I'm close enough to big cities (though I'm kinda in the middle of nowhere myself) that I can make it to a show a month or so, if there's anyone good coming through.
Pittsburgh has a surprisingly good metal scene.
Oh damn, how the hell was that? Let me live vicariously through your brief description of the show. That's actually pretty cool..I didn't know Pittsburgh would have a good situation (I'm 5 hours away from there, kek)
Oh no shit?
Well to be honest, I'm not the biggest Nile fan; I just really wanted to go to a show and know that they play generally good shit. Was not disappointed; their sound was great the whole time, which is what you want from a tech death band. Not much crowd interaction, but they didn't particularly need it; clearly just not their style.
One of the opening bands, a local act called Greyhaven, was actually really good also.
But yeah, Pittsburgh's two main venues are Altar Bar and Mr Smalls, both of which are converted churches. Mr. Smalls is (ironically) the bigger of the two venues, and generally hosts bigger acts. Like over the summer, they had GWAR, which was fucking amazing.
There ya go. haha
We doing record collections now? Pic related, it's part of mine. Yours is pretty awesome, especially for only starting lately.
>posts Fleshcrawl and not a song off of Descend into the Absurd
That's ok. Just listen to some Agalloch. Also, gonna be seeing Pallbearer play with Bell Witch and Wrekmiester Harmonies within the next month. Should be fun.
I'll be catching the tail end of that Nile tour here on Friday. I don't get a ton of good metal shows through town so it definitely ups the excitement a bit.
Currently listening to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPOtTUj8pkI
Guess I'll bump this out of the abys
Thanks for bumping! I didn't think any metalfags were on. ;D How are you, it's been a long time since we were civil. Hope everything in Meh world is Gucci Mane.

Powermetal is soooo nice in the morning.
Found this band last night. Their music videos are fun and well produced, and just digging the over-all sound of everything.
