For all the sad bespectabled fucks out there
>rate glasses (or ppl, i dont give a damn)
>give feedback regarding glasses, give tips, ask questions etc
>Bonus Round: Post just how bad your sight is (aka: the numbers!)
I'm near sighted -5.25 in left -5.75 in right. Also have a very lazy eye so I go cross eyed whenever I'm not wearing my glasses or when I'm really tired so yay
Prada Cat Eye Glasses. Classic shape and worth every cent IMO. Not sure of exact figures but I have slight stigmatism in my left eye. These glasses are for reading and computer work. Distance vision is ok.
I can post post closer pictures of the frames upon request when I get home.
They look good! Do you have anything rounder? I'm not a cay eye fan.
These are my funkiest pair, only wear them when I'm feeling lucky.
my vision is really bad, i think it was something like -4, plus kind of a lazy eye thing going that i always notice that i dont know if other people do or not
they really fit your face style, pretty hot either way
haha i like these but theyre funny lookin
I hate them.
They're and old rx, and I'm too busy working all the goddamn time to get a new eye exam done.
I've only got the one pair. My prescription hasn't changed in a few years so I can't really justify the cost of another set at this stage.
Your glasses are very unique. It does kind of work well with your style.
I dig it. It's kind of dorky chic but your facial features are intense enough to balance it.
=O Its the cat guy. Weren't you in the beard thread? Your glasses work well with your hair colour (and your cat's fur) :3
Hello my fellow wearers of frames.
I rock 9Five.
So do these glasses fit me well, or should I go with something different? I'll post what I've been thinking about getting.
You're so pretty you would likely look good in any glasses, though those seem to suit you well :)
I think you should go with something darker, otherwise gr8
I like these, two toned frames are awesome
>still reminds me of dexter
Awesome glasses, cute face, cute cat, 10/10
Here's the glasses I was considering getting
I like your style, I think those are perfect for you :)
Thanks! I really like your glasses, I'm a sucker for round frames.
These are my usual glasses, those blue ones are a bit too eccentric for everyday.
hah, speaking of my old frames.
I found this photo on facebook.
daww you guys are too kind. <3
Thanks! It helps having a friend who is a semi professional photographer.
I think I like your old frames better.
Ignore the unshaveness and crazy hair. I just got these but I'm not sure if I like them or my round ones better.
This is the same style with darker tortoise shell, but I don't like it as much.
Still very handsome, like these glasses too! I think these make you look younger, and the other ones make you look like a young professor.
they usually have some kind of 90 day return right? so just go with light if that's really what you want and if it turns out you don't like the way they look on your face then there was no harm in trying
Go with the lighter ones if you've always had dark frames. Change it up! And thanks for the compliments! You are pretty good lookin' yourself!
I always had darker frames until I got these clear ones, people either love them or hate them. I never wear them.
Clear glasses are great omg. I wish I could pull them off. The glasses I have now mix well with my dark hair, I'm a little worried the lighter ones aren't going to have the same feel, but I definitely want to take the risk!
I'm super ginger, and mine match perfectly with it
>haha work selfie
Hope I'm not late for the party
Just wondering if I should stick with the same kind of frames or go with something else.
Those actually fit you pretty well, boxy ones always seem worse but usually look alright
Yeah thats what I'm wondering too but I think you can pull them off or maybe even match them with something else
You're glasses are rad, and I love your style! Very cool dude/10
I think you'd benefit from thicker, more stylish glasses. I think I say that to everyone with thinner wire frames because I had them when I was younger and got picked on for it.
I'm not a fan of wire frames, have you ever tried any thicker frames? Something like these.
I've always thought about going ticker ones but was always a little afraid they'd break easier since I worked in a hazardous place. And idk what style would look good on me either. But yeah I've been wearing wired frames since i was a kid but damn I never had anyone make fun of me for wearing them other than being called four eyes. Sounds like a rough group of kids
I just like them cause their sturdy, but no I've only tried them never owned a pair. But I can see myself wearing those guess I really need to get in style
You're very welcome!
It takes a lot of searching, I went through wire frames to rectangle frames to square frames and now I'm here. You either need to find some that are cheap and can be replaced, or some that are super durable, and that'll take some searching too. You'll figure it out, m8. I believe in you :)
Lol thanks for the inspiration but damn I guess I'll be researching a bunch of brands and what not the hardest part will be looking for some reasonably priced frames. And I'm betting the most durable ones are the most spensive ones. But holy cow its sounds like you been through way more frames than most of us. Mine have had enough abuse from dropping them, scratches and motor oil :(
If i must be honest out of all the frames you've posted, these are the most fitting for you, though in my humble opinion, perhaps a more oval or almond shape would be slightly better. Those do look wonderful however.
Perfect fit for ya right here man
I got a different style frame every time I went to get my eyes checked for a different prescription. I enjoy switching it up, and I'm still kinda on that perfect frame journey. And that sounds like your glasses definitely need to be durable, not sure about brands and stuff. Maybe discuss this with your eye doc next time you go, they usually know more about frames then I ever will lol.
Thank you very much for the advice, I'll add it to the list of frames to look at haha. I love looking at different styles.
Tattoos are tattoos man, honestly for me the most important thing about them is the reason behind getting it and/or your experience. Even if it's just cuz you love lotuses or whatever, that's the most important part. Also, u r good looking, don't lie, friend.
look into Nauticas, they're a little bit pricier, but they've served me well, As a lift mechanic, i can definitely say the frames are both comfortable and durable. Also worth mentioning is of the 4 pairs ive owned, they were all extremely light.
I was always to scared to try different styles as a kid and because my parents don't spend much. If I could find something that durable and just a little stylish I think I would be a happy camper and I really need to get my eyes checked since my eye doctor closed down.
And how far are you in your pilgrimage for the perfect glasses I think you made it to the promise lands with your current ones. Did you pick yours out yourself?
I'll remember that, and thanks I forgot how much of a pain mine were when I started sweating at work so comfortably is pretty important in my books. And damn really four pairs?
You... tend do go througfh a few when you randomly get hit in the face by 200 pound lift chairs or when you accidently drop them into a running gearbox... shit happens but this is over the course of 6 years
best glasses in thread. i like the subtle thin frames
Oh I totally get you, I come from a lower middle class family and we used to have to get those free glasses from the state that are horrid. The ones I have now were a gift to myself with the last paycheck I had. And yeah, I picked these ones out, I'd never had round before and they seemed to suit me better than any I've had. I think now I know round is better for me than square, but I'm not 100% satisfied with these. They're very close to perfect though.
I've slammed them against my face a bunch of times against tries and shit when the car on a lift and ran face first into posts at work. But damn never lucked out with a lift punch to the face thats a bummer. And lol how did you drop them in a gear box?
Ayyy thanks fellow thin framer. I guess having a broadish face really goes well with them
Yeah same deal with me, my dad had federal insurance so we were always sporting around the cheapest frames. And damn for a self-gifted present it work out pretty well, and yeah I don't think i could pull of round ones so well but you definably are destined for them. And hell I don't think i've ever been stratified when I pick mine out, but thats just the glasses game I guess.
I've got pretty bad vision. I think you can actually see how thick the lenses are on these. >_< I got these frames from zennioptical.
Well, since im OP i thought i might as well post, just hot these since i wanted something more exciting then only square frames, do they work, im planning on cutting some more bf% of as well so hopefully my face will become a bit "squarer"
these actually fit you very well, you do seem to have a very symmetrical face though, so most should go for you, these give you a smart and kind of nerdy look, in a good way.
nigga you a model ?
i feel your face is a bit too slim for these, i mean they do their job of blending in, but i think you would perhaps look better in more accentuated frames
pretty hipster, but it works for you
>gordon fucking freeman
you look like you code, they are nice, but dont really bring anything new to the table either
these look amazing on you, a mix between artsy and that hot chick who works at the library
normally i hate these glasses, but you somehow look good in them, kudos to you bro
I'm fucking blind.
I can't remember exactly but I'm somewhere around -8.75 in both eyes
>tfw listened to my sister and got these ones
I should have just go for clubmaster frames, I'm severely regretting this.
These look nice on you. Also dat jaw
Pretty standard. They work for you. Those lenses are hella thick yo.
These seem a touch too big. Clubmasters would suit you, but with a tortoiseshell frame maybe?
Yeah, I spend good money on this ones and now have to wait until I have spare money for clubmasters. Well at least this ones come with magnet shades, no need to pay extra for prescribed sunglasses.
ignore the acne and the facial expression
not real glasses btw
Muh safety pin repair has lasted numerous months on my only pair of glasses
Have a pretty bad sight. Dunno the numbers.
I'm considering to get contacts.
I just got the free 5-pair try on from Warby Parker and wanted to know what you guys thought looked the best.
Frame name left to right:
Ames, Chamberlain, Cass, Benson, Wilder
I kind of like the Ames just because they are different, but I'm not sure if I could pull them off with that extra silver, side bezel they have.
Here's an image of the frames w/o a face if that helps.
-3.5 on each eye
Getting worse every year
Got glasses a few days ago, along with my bf. This is the only picture I have with glasses~
Suits your facial shape really well!
I like the shape, not sure about the color
Really, wow, glasses suits you soo well Maxim! And I love your hair in this pic!
Best glasses in this thread!
They're all very alike. Best pair is the last one!
I have basically no opinion on pretty standard looking rectangular black plastic frames, so I'll rate glasses/people that are more unique in my eyes.
I love the frames, but I feel that another color would suit you better. Still pretty cool though. I like them better than your every day pair. Those clear ones are cool too!
Nice and round, but doesn't stand out a lot to me. The pair you're considering though I think would look great and may suit your face more.
I like your glasses quite a bit, but you're not really selling them in that picture. I get the feeling you look great in them, but this picture doesn't really show it.
Your frames look good too.
Damn, those look good, but I know I couldn't stand those. Too small for me - I'd feel like my vision was really restricted.
Your frames are not super interesting, but for whatever reason I like how thick your lenses are. Plus you're too fucking cute not to mention, but I'm sure you know you are.
Not real into the look of these glasses. I kind of feel like they're a little too big. They seem to hide your eye brows.
These look great on you. Wish I could see more of you.
I like your frames, but I feel like something thicker may suit your face better as much as I hate to say it.
You look absolutely stunning. Short haired girls in glasses give me heart murmurs! Your other frames I don't like so much, but I'd like to see you in more frames.
My first comment was suppose to be for >>23105594 but I guess I forgot a >
Anyway, here's a better picture of my frames because the colors don't show up so well in the other pic.
I'm pretty much the same way. I liked JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and Parasyte. Besides those I haven't seen any anime that I've liked, however, I hear good things about One Punch Man. JoJo just gets silly though, so don't walk into it expecting to take it seriously...
U think so? I never considered it. I am glad I already switch from hasty Potter glasses I had as a kid. Still look like him on old photos.
Dunno if that is the reason for me. Is getting worse every year since I was 10 or something.
I've always preferred a minimalist approach to the frames I get. I've had thick frames and I just don't think they seem appropriate on my big ass head. I'll be back when I have a pic with the thcker frams to compare, but here are mine now. I dig.
The only pic I could find, and they actually look decent here. Oh well. Which do you guys think is better for me?
I kinda regret getting these frames. I still had short hair when I did and now I'm growing it and those don't match me anymore
muh face with my new generic thick frames
You look very alike to my best friend, just without the glasses
besides the size, your glasses still look pretty good. also, that's some majestic hair you got
Then why wear them? Its like wearing sunglasses without the tint
girls with short hair and glasses has always been one of my weaknesses
I think they look just fine. Your frames and hair make you look like you're musically inclined
Or I'm just ugly
Short hair is either a turn on or turn off. There's no in between
The glasses are Shuron Revelation, it looks like my face just does not work with normal height of their traditional Ronsir.
Pretty happy with mine, I prefer the half frame, but needed something sturdy. Was glad I managed to find the best of both.
At work now, on break, so forgive the lighting.
I realise the frames aren't doing me any favours... Any suggestions? (Also pls forgive hunched pose to fit myself in the mirror)
I love this rim style, idk if I could pull it off. Also i prefer the second frame for its height.
The tops sit quite low on your eyes, so either that or the pose is making you look a little sinister.
From this angle I can't see any problems, I think you picked a good frame for your face/hair.
In fashion terms, i think these don't look very fashionable and a little dorky, i would say maybe go bigger.
I think you'd look better with a thick frame because of the thick lenses, the balding and the facial hair/eyebrows.
My first pair of glasses, got them a few months ago. They're too big for me, so I'm definitely looking to replace them. Any recommendations?
