there is no other place
homeless people tend to be loners or groups of 2 or 3
only at homeless shelters will you see them in larger groups

the rest of the time they are either begging or busking on street corners or train stations
or they are working temp jobs as cheap labour in construction, landscaping, or road work
the rest of the time they usually wander through alleys looking for pop cans and bottles
so they can get money at the bottle depot.

take her in as a girlfriend, and help her find a job and get back on her feet
