I meant like sometimes physicists will just flat out call things constants, which are not constants.
ex. In QFT the coupling constant is actually a function of the energy scale, [math] g\left( \mu \right) [/math].

Or, the theory to accurately describe the relation hasn't been found yet so we're getting reasonable approximations with what we have that work pretty damn well.
