Oh I love these threads. Lets give governments trillions of dollars in taxes which they aren't really accountable for. If you care about the environment support causes that actually produce results, I would throw money at an organization that was actively cleaning up things like the great pacific garbage patch. It's not exactly my fault that it has never been officially proven to bring harm to people who didn't have a tobacco allergy or already had something like asthma. And while DDT being harmful is certainly plausible it was a useful pesticide and could have probably helped cut down on malaria cases.

Hard to say what the agenda is behind the attack on the tobacco plant, I don't think dying of Parkinsons or any other form of brain degeneration is very appealing. Maybe just part of the larger quest to live forever but people have been smoking for so long now the relationship is almost symbiotic.

This is what worries me about anything being propagated today by brute force through a highly controlled and global media complex. I doubt and question everything now, I recognized AGW from the get go as a round about way to tax the shit out of hydro carbons - the energy of life in the modern age really. This is a tad more frightening than the economic slavery employed for the last millennium through a round about but simple mathematical concept called usury.
