What can I do with a degree in Biology? Which are the most exciting areas?
>>
are you studying biology in uni or are you in high school?

either way it depends on which field you specialise into, i think the "hottest" now is bioinformatics/biotech
>>
Concentrate on transferable skills. What's hot today may be old hat in five years time. A lot of gene jockeys got burned way back.

The US BLS has a fairly comprehensive list of all the occupations available. See which jobs you can apply your degree to.

Cell biology, microbiology, neuroscience, and genetics are the most interesting imo.

Learn R and shell scripting, and get into Bioinformatics

I'm doing a chemistry technical course (3 years) to have a good base for biology, that will allow me to biology uni too.

Seems like computer skills are more and more valuable in biology fields, I guess I will have to learn to code too. But I also love botany, molecular biology because of the researches, and zoology is so cool, there's so many options it's hard to choose.

Strictly as 4 year Bachelor of Science in Biology degree, not much at all. You might get lucky and land a lab assistant job, and you could probably get some kind of teaching certificate and become a high school biology teacher. Other than that, not much honestly. Biology is probably the most popular STEM major and the field is over saturated. Biology is a popular, albeit, very generic pre medical/dentistry major but medicine and dentistry are two of the best possible paths you can take. Besides the latter, getting a PhD is probably your best bet. Keep in mind that a lot of Biology graduates though can't find work. You need to network like mad, really build up your experience. If you're naturally very brilliant and talented though, and can manage to demonstrate this ability to the right people you won't even need to finish your degree.

then you're on the right track, doing molecular biology and right now taking chemistry/organic chemistry

i would have taken zoology, but i had to take a sensible choice, plus i can always take zoology later
