First year physics student here.
It's nearly 2am and I just spent the last 2 hours doing my calc homework
I want to tell people, so it doesnt seem as unimportant.
>Not going to tell my friends
>Friends would think I'm self obsessed
>Don't care if strangers think I am
Pic related, last problem I had to do
>spent two hours doing that
lmao ur dumb af senpai

Please no bullying. I am not the OP but I couldn't do that problem in 10 hours. I have never taken physics.

Learning to do by hand what a computer can do in a fraction of a second.
I mean yeah we probably need a couple thousand people on earth able to do this but not every fucking person with a science degree. It's totally ridiculous.

Thanks anon

It's mostly just a way to test for basic problem solving skills.
It's much easier to do that with math than anything else. Yeah, you need to learn some pointless bullshit along the way, but that's how it works.

>he thinks this is a physics problem

top kek m8
>>7805742
Sure you could. Build a scale model and see what's the longest tube you could fit through the hallway.
>>7805713
yep, find the minimum of the function
9/cos(x) + 6/sin(x)
for pi/2 < x < pi
>>7805798
that's right
>>7805803
>barely knows how to find minimum of function
So did you do the differentiation bit then?
>>7805823
I did
9 tanx secx - 6 cotx cosecx
set to 0 and solve you get
x = arctan ((2/3)^(1/3))
plug that into 9/cos x + 6/sin x
you're done
