Is something (an idea, statement, etc) that isn't immediately measureable or testable, worthless?

Why would you think that?

I don't, but many people do. I've seen many people here posit that something is worthless if it cannot be processed with the scientific method.
Then it is scientifically unprovable. It's not worthless ofcourse, but it will never reach a level of credibility to be mentioned on a purely scientific basis, and you will have a very hard time trying to convince people to it's existence.

It's worthless as science, because the entire basis of science is being able to test hypotheses.
But there are ways that something can be useful other than purely scientifically, so it can still have worth.
