This is funny because when you have college loans to pay, you can actually ask to freeze them (you don't pay them) if you are either unemployed or you are in university.

So like, if you graduated and went to grad school you wouldn't have to pay until you graduate grad school.

I wonder for how much time would they accept this? Would there be a point were loan companies would tell you to fuck off and pay them.

This is actually an interesting question so hopefully there is someone here who actually know the mindset of these loan companies and could tell us how much would they wait.

There are two different types of loans: those from the federal government and those that are private.

If you are pursuing undergraduate studies you can generally continue to get loans until ~6 years worth of courses until the government tells you to fuck off. (They can not necessarily will tell you to fuck off). If you however decide to pursue graduate courses you are opened another line of credit. I've also heard it rumored that once you hit 200k in government loan debt they tell you to fuck off ,but I don't know the validity of this statement.

If this is true and OP were to go to an average university that charges him a total of 40k after the end of the year he could do a nice 5 different degrees and then kill himself.

But that would be savage because I've heard the story of a girl that died and then the loan company still charged the parents for all the money she had in loans.

OP, you can potentially study for 20 years getting 5 different undergrad degrees but then you will fuck yourself up or fuck whoever is in charge of you up.
