No one addressed this boards decline for the last few years, if we want to improve this board, there's a number of things we need to address;

1: Original content is not enforced, this is why you see pepe in every thread every time you browse. It's root is a core of cringeworthy people who developed a cult following for memes. They're literally the opposite of original content.

2: poor post quality. Why bother to think about what you're writing with only an ineffective robot between you and 'normies out ree thread #7368338373'

3: Too much social interaction. This isn't Facebook, we are here to share our ideas anonymously. Being anonymous means the sole focus of the discussion is on our ideas and thoughts without prejudice to our real life status or lack of. Post limits would help cull the inane socialization.

Perhaps something like 5 posts every hour would be more appropriate? I don't know, there will be a sweet spot. The point is, making it harder to post makes it far harder to be a moron and far easier to have a discussion.

I think in that case, the issues with what are wrong with /r9k/ go beyond /britfeel/ and instead should focus on the wide issues of the board. Sure removing /britfeel/ would solve one problem but I don't feel it would solve the issues with other threads. You could ban generals but I don't feel the others would really class themselves as generals so they would somehow be able to bypass it.

We do need some new rules that would push some of these topics off /r9k/. Allowing NSFW on /lgbt/ would be a start in helping take a couple of threads away. Pushing a handful onto /b/ would also help.
