No, I moved out of London in summer 2014.

Lived in Denmark, NYC and now Germany since then. Much happier since I got out to be honest, although I like to visit and see mates.

Go to the SIA website, just google SIA licence and click "Apply for a licence". It's approx. 300 quid for a 3 year license, but in security that's about 3 shifts of work so it pays for itself real quick.

That's literally all you need to do. Once you've got a licence, you apply to a security firm and they give you a site. Some companies offer schemes to apply and pay for the licence for you as long as you stay with the company for the validity period, so that's an alternative depending on the firm you go for.

I have actually, just Melbourne and Sydney though but it was great. I think the grass is always greener on the other side. Only downside to Aus is everything was so expensive, before I realised Coles and Woolsworth was so much cheaper I was paying $3 for a fucking bottle of water at 7/11
