>reformat >can't get xinput wrapper drivers to install correctly so I can't use my controller on my PC This makes me VERY FUCKING LIVID and I am incredibly upset that I can't play controller games now for no apparent reason
>hit an all time low in life >trying to find something to fill the void >see a copy of bloodborne I stopped playing after couple of hours because no motivation >start playing couple of days ago >get pretty involved in the game (thought it wasn't good initially) >haven't done anything else the pass 5 days >find it funny that someone else is doing the exact same thing as me
I guess it's true us robots are all really the same
I was playing earlier. Slammed through Yahar'gul and the Nightmare Frontier and then farmed Rom for a bit for kicks on co-op. I like the fast combat and emphasis on aggression and offense versus traditional Souls combat.
>>26476605 Not really. Souls type games are all cyrptic storyline wise on purpose, the creator wants you to fill in using your own imagination. Dark Souls is fun because the whole world is a beautiful maze that is interconnected. Just enjoy exploring, piecing the lore together (mostly done by items you pick up ranging from weapons to consumables), and the fun combat. The difficulty isn't really that bad, people blow it out of proportion and meme the game as "dark souls hard". You are never given anything you can't handle.
>>26476246 >beat DaS about a month ago >recently learned that there was a ton of shit i missed, like making really high tier weps, meeting new characters, doing sidequests, and optional bosses >tfw i dont have the motivation to play it again even though i really enjoyed it
>>26476718 I remember having small problems going from the original scpwrapper stuff to reloaded and then to toolkit but I just uninstalled and tried a clean install and it worked out whatever problems I had, but I also don't use bluetooth
>>26476753 i don't know what it would be, is the thing
I've tried that. Whenever I install the driver, it screen tears and freezes, so I have to force a restart then it attempts to reinstall the driver-repeating the same thing-after the restart so it is a mandatory two restarts every time. shit pisses me the fuck off.
>>26476762 I don't use bluetooth either. I've tried installing with and without bluetooth driver checked; same result every time.
>>26476605 >go up to the church and ring the bell >okay now go into the depths and ring the bell >cutscene of a fortress opening Pay ATTENTION and EXPLORE. If you need a game to dictate 100% of the experience in a completely linear fashion then stick to VNs and new Final Fantasy games. You probably don't like to be challenged anyways.
Ah if you missed Eileen's quest and she attacked you, you missed one of the best subquests of the game. Fighting the chikage-wielding hunter who half killed her in the Grand Cathedral is a beast of a fight. Plus Henryk before that in the Tomb.
BB's eldritch shit is really cool, especially in the DLC with the Innsmouth-like village.
>play same Warcraft private server for years >have a bit of a reputation on my server >enjoy playing my characters there but cant be bothered getting involved or personal with people there anymore >don't even want to log on anymore because avoiding people is such a chore
I'm near the end of the line with enjoying escapism. Been sober 7 months and cant be bothered to start all over on some new game. Reality is too fucking scary
>>26476992 Temporary relationships like that probably aren't worth it for when they fall apart, be it invading a group and having everyone talk to eachother less or have some drama and some of them deciding to shut their accounts down, or you eventually realising they're just some cancerous normie meme whore
>>26477130 Games are like music in my experience. It's too broad to say nothing holds your attention. That means you have to go looking, which can be a lot of work that most people dont want to do so they accept games and music as they're delivered to them by mainstream at face value, ultimately deciding they don't like games (or music) now/anymore.
If I'd never found what I listen to now, I'd say I don't like music that much. And if there was never a CRPG renaissance in 2012/13, I'd probably say I don't like games that much anymore either, even though CRPGs aren't exclusively what I play but were integral in changing my perceptions of how a game can be (looks boring to the observer but for some reason is mad fun to play), liberating me from my false preconceptions of yore (only multiplayer games are worth playing, anything else is a waste of time!).
Perhaps this will make you explore your horizons, perhaps you never actually liked games at heart. Just some food for thought. No hobby is ever "easy" once you dip your head below the surface and see how deep the well really goes.
As it stands, WoW now feels to me to be the cheap imitation of what a game is. I, in the not so distant past, used to also think the inversion of this.
>>26477233 I see what you're saying I get it. Like most I started on single player games and eventually got caught in popular online shit like Diablo 2 / CS1.6 / Halo and eventually wound up playing WoW as my main game for the better part of a decade. Still think I like games but got that thing going on where you look back and realize how much time and money you poured into such a deadend hobby and question if you still want to continue chasing the dragon. Really twisted about gaming but I'm still open to trying new shit so long as my awful computer can handle it
>>26477393 >deadend waste of time I feel you brethren, but the alternative way of spending my leisure would be watching TV which literally puts me to sleep. At this stage I've become somewhat dependent on vidya for constant mental stimulation. To see an interact with a thing is much busier than being passively fed fast food entertainment. I suppose it's all about perspective and one must understand that any purely leisure pursuit is inherently a waste of time. I just so happen to like keeping myself engaged in something, and vidya is very engaging for me. Even if the game is simple, it still demands attention and engagement.
I hope you can find something to fill your void. I'd feel pretty busted if I couldn't enjoy games anymore. Of course reading is not a bad use of one's time, but after a day of work, reading, again, is just one of those things that puts me right to sleep.
I've been playing nothing but M&B Napoleonic Wars for a week now. I have nothing else to do or play. I joined the Army just to give myself something to do and an opportunity to get out of NEEThood. I ship out in May.
I was doing trivial shit on PC DaS1 since I already platted it on PS3. Couldn't get any nodes to invade Anor Londo so I just went and grabbed covenant achievements and fully upgraded a Great Club to Occult +5 to get the last weapon upgrade achievement.
It isn't even fun, it's just something to do (again) as a distraction. All Souls games PvE are stale as fuck at this point, but DaS1 doesn't involve farming a ton of cracked red eye orbs like DaS2. Just wish its connectivity and overall player activity was closer to its peak. Shit's dead and DaS2 farming CREOs then spending them all just to refarm is shitty. >tfw no MMO to grind
>>26476246 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-xn70CwKFM Metal Snow cleared so im gonna go for a road ride soon, put a few hours of mileage in before I do some calisthenics because its an off day from lifting. After that, playing the witcher 3 and reading. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gU7B4q5zEWY
