I used to be into metal. But then I noticed how fucking cringeworthy most bands are. The lyrics are pretty much always shit as well.
Still listening to that Ad Nauseam album though, it's alright

Metals pretty cool particularly the proggy/droney stuff.

I love songs which take a while to untangle, wading through a blur of noise to find patterns.

Sadly I wrecked my ears with ear buds during my give no fucks edgy phase ten years ago so can't hack the harsh sounds (tinnitus).

Mostly into softer Desert Rock and psychedelic jam now (there is a lot of overlap in style between these styles and metal imo) or atmospheric instrumental stuff or Shoegaze/dream pop.
