What are some of your most loved or hated memes through out meme history?
hated:
>Demotivationals
>Can I Haz (I cringe when I think about the very early memes, and I can't think of any exceptions)
>Many image macros
Any reddit macro. I saw a few a while ago and they were just pedestals for storytelling. It was weird. Not sure if they changed though
>Thanks Lori
loved:
>breadfriend
Breadfriend is an objectively shit meme but I feel a profound kindred to it. I felt that it possibly could have been much more if people had given it a go but it was a good thing that it was stamped out by the meme marketplace.
>Wew lad
Despite being a forced meme
>Baneposting
>The Ass Was Fat
I haven't made my mind up regarding the whole pepe situation yet though. On the one hand it's useful because its such an ubiquitous meme and there are loads of applications but I can't
pls reply to my thread
I think all memes are dumb

What do you meme?
I appreciate this new ironic age of memes. I never liked the whole cat phase or the macro thing.
>>26423091
That's the thing. The old ones had no substance at all, although arguably they were mroe literal. The appeal is in being able to interpret and mould things
don't hate or love any memes but desu was pretty great
>>26422601
im interested by all these new politicallish memes but I dont know if i hate them or like them on principle
I dont know if they are a good thing or not
>>26423123
Pretty fond of ayylmao
Pic related, and the flag bearers from /pol/ when it was peak
candlejack was always my least fav-
>>26422601
I should say when I say image macros I mean advice animals (which is a term I loathe) specifically. Some of the earlier ones I dont mind - the format isnt as rigid as demotivationals but they got out of hand.
They're no longer funny (although when one catches you off guard it's kinda fun) but I appreciate the value of things like bachelor frog and awkward penguin. Too bad so many people making them didnt know how to make a good, concise one

thoughts on the sniper version? To me it always felt a bit reddity
>>26423190
Big Cums was my favourite version
>>26422601
Happy Negro, later called just Santino Lee by the more delicate faggots, just because it was one of the first that I participated in.
/b/ was a lot slower then and I remember staying up way into the night (poorly) photoshopping the headband onto every single image that people would post
I cropped it onto a wellknown photo of a homeless dude and created Pappy Negro, basically a D-list micromeme that still cropped up from time to time.
>tfw no gf
Original comment is becoming a kind of forced meme itself
>>26423392
before my time
I saw one of those a while back but didnt understand it
i hate this lizard i see it everywhere
Horatio Cain was another of my favourites actually. Pic related

Old memes are shit

>mfw old memes are shit
>mfw new memes are normal
>>26423750
wew
lad
blox
I hate pepe.
Wojack is nice
>>26423982
i agree
Wojack is patrician taste
Advice dog was the first meme using the template in the OP but everyone forgot about him
This one was fun
>>26423850
>not traveling forward in time to enjoy dank future memes
>>26424115
Advice dog still gets a decent amount of coverage on reddit for some reason
There's better ways to meme now than with advice animal macros so pro memers avoid them
