For a lot of people motivation is hard. So pushing yourself to work out is hard. Easiest way I'd count calories. Keep cutting them until you start losing weight. Do it by weeks and intervals of 100 calories. Working out, even a little, helps in time. But first find your calorie limit where you start to lose. Then add working out if you can find the motivation.

i lost 35kg last year. there is no physiological trick to losing weight. you wake up, eat oatmeal, eat celery + fruit or a sandwhich for lunch, jog/ lift/ whatever exercise you prefer at whatever time's convenient, eat chicken and broccoli for dinner. don't fall for any meme diet or buy packaged horseshit from a weightloss company. complex carb for breakfast, protein for dinner, lots of veggies. count calories if you want (i couldnt be fucked) or just eat what i ate. if you make a sandwhich dont be a retard and drench it with sauce or dressing or whatever, only clean fresh ingredients. no soft drink or juice senpai. drink lots of water. i fucking hate warm water, cold water is refreshing.

realise that the weightloss industry is designed to confuse fatties so they buy more Weightwatchers lasagnes and bounce between fad diets. ignore dieting advice from normies, normie websites, women, and magazines. the difficult part of losing weight is all mental. you cannot undo years of laziness, gluttony and sedentary living in a few weeks. you need to abide by the process every day. delay your gratification. have a tasty meal on the weekends but that's it. i don't know your situation with women, but i guarantee you that your chances of getting laid will increase if you are not a fat shit. fat chicks can get laid, fat dudes aren't so lucky. that is reality and it's unfair. accept it.

Eat 500 to 1000 kcal below maintenance, walk 10,000 steps a day.

This works much better if you eat healthy whole foods because they provide way more satiation for lower calorie counts and will make you feel better overal.

Think it like this: Just to burn 1 donut you have to jog for aprox. 30 minutes to burn that shit off, if you are a fat fuck, that shit is nearly impossible. Also no amount of "eating healthy" is going to help if you eat too much. 2000kcal of vegetables is still 2000kcal.

Technically correct, but it's very hard to stuff yourself with vegetables like you do with hamburgers. Most people will lose weight with tricks like 'low carb' simply because without the carb they generally don't eat to the point of their maintenance account of calories because they don't have the calorie dense foods they used to rely on to get fat.

People have success in different ways, but I'll tell you what I did.

I was losing 2kg a week when I was 90-100kg, and about 1.5kg a week from 80-90kg.

the key is to not do too much at first so you don't overwhelm yourself because if you go from 0 to 60 in a day you're not going to be able to sustain it. you want to make these types of things part of your lifestyle or else any weight you lose will eventually come back.

1. stop drinking sugary drinks. maybe you don't but they are the number 1 cause of obesity. the body doesn't respond well to corn syrup and sugar in liquid form and most of the calories get stored as fat. no soda, no fruit juice, and no gatorade or powerade. if you drink coffee drink it with splenda or stevia instead. if you absolutely must you can drink diet soda and zero calorie flavored waters and stuff but water is your best bet honestly. after a couple weeks you won't even crave all that syrupy sweet garbage. at least i didn't.

2. get a pedometer and walk 10,000 steps a day every day. it's a time commitment, sure, but even if you're a fat fuck you can probably still walk at least. if you're embarrassed going out in public or it's too cold where you are, get a cheap treadmill and do your steps there. you can listen to music or podcasts to make the time go quicker. that's what i do.

to start off, do only those 2 things and you'll start to lose weight. like i said you don't want to burn yourself out and doing those 2 things isn't that difficult. after you start losing weight and you want to do more i recommend starting a weight training regimen, a low carb diet, and more intense cardio like the elliptical or running but that's further down the road. i've lost 100 pounds in the last 14 months and i'm still losing. i went from 340 to 240 and my goal weight is 210 so i'm not that far off (i'm 6'3).

Right now I'm 5'8", 180 pounds. My daily calorie intake is about 1500, which is a small breakfast, a small lunch, a small snack, and a big dinner. I don't drink soft drinks, avoid most salt and sugar, and go for a walk when I can.

My maintenance calorie limit is 1900. Which means a single burger basically blows me out of the water for the day. It's nearly imposible for me to go to a restaurant and stay under my calorie count.

Hence, I struggle with my weight.

The most important thing that I learned from losing weight: you need to get used to being hungry. If you decided to eat 1500kcal/day and you ate 1500kcal and are still hungry, don't eat. Go to bet feeling hungry. Wake up the next day and look back what you ate the day before and try eating something different.

I'm a single guy and a workaholic who isn't into casual relationships. I work 6-7 days a week and I study/exercise whenever I can. I have decent social skills but zero social life, and my most consistent past-time consists of shitposting on 4chan / watching tv-series while drinking vodka and eating semi-junk food.

If I am to do what you suggest, I will lose the last sources of dopamine rush I get. I want to get better, I really do, but what the fuck am I supposed to do? It's not going to be boring, it's going to be flat-out depressing.
