>tell people I think Martin Shkreli is hilarious
>they all start yelling at me
reminder to not expose your power level
I saw an interview of the guy and my opinion of him did a 180
I thought he was a pissed off robot who finally could stick it to the normies
but no he is just a bro-tier normie who is stuck as the boogyman but does not give a fuck. What he did wasnt even morally wrong once you understand the background of what is the industry norm.
He seems like a genuinely likable and funny guy.
dude was also poor as shit growing up and is living the american dream so-to-speak, at least as far as wealth goes.
he's a pharmacy self made millionaire who bought a drug used to treat symptoms associated with AIDS. he then raised the price of the base price of the drug from $13 to $750.
hes a scrawny little creepy beta guy so the media has gone after him and painted him as this symbol of capitalist evil, and he's made it worse by completely embracing the villain role
he paid Wu-Tang Clan 2 million dollars to make a new album exclusively for him, and he's never going to let another human being listen to it.
the truth is that he's not as bad as people make him out to be. he raised the price to make more money for his company while fucking over the other pharmaceutical companies. if people need the drug they can go to his company and they'll get it for free. he's essentially making a monopoly on the drug by raising the price for other companies who want to buy it, and giving it away for free to the poor people who need it
hes a greedy creepy fuck, yeah, but hes not evil the way the media wants to paint him as.
bringing down capitalism is literally the last thing liberals want to do, look how controversial even fucking Bernie "gabitalism with abit more daxe :DDDDD" Sanders is and how most liberals will still prefer Shillary who owns stock in fucking Walmart
the album was already made, he just purchased it
it was a one of a kind and the decision to not let anybody else listen is perfectly understandable
it's also probably shit as the wutang as a collective haven't been good since their debut
He's a capitalist like the rest of them, except he's also creepy (stalked/harrassed his colleague/colleague's family online) and doesn't give a fuck. I don't like him but as far I'm concerned he's a neutral party that is accused of fraud (not related to the drug controversy).
Yfw he did it to make people aware of what can be done to them. He took one for the team so it will be harder in the future for big corp to raise the cost of medicine. He is some kind of Bruce Wayne.
i watched the vice interview and the breakfast club one. dude is legit a psychopath, putting on completely different characters flawlessly for different audiences. interesting to watch
Can anyone post something that made you go 360 and think he's a cool dude?
Any youtube interviews?
I thought this man was complete scum.
Makes no goddamn sense. Free markets are part of economic liberalism. Liberals support it. The idea was that anybody should be able to start a private enterprise, not just the elite. Martin Shkreli is the very embodiment of that. Socialists are the ones who oppose it. Big difference.
Fuck, that is really inspiring. He is the hero the sick need. Why cant I be like him? Why?
I can appreciate his smugness, and honestly he didn't even do anything wrong. Yeah, he's an opportunistic asshole, but many others are. Condemn one to prison sentence, and people will allow other 20 fucking them in the ass. Such is the way of life, I guess.
